Antique Brown Apothecary Pharmacy Bottle 1906 Act Indianapolis Ginger
Wow. What a great find. This is an antique brown bottle, apothecary style. It does have a possible chip on the rim, but it has smooth edges and doesn't really feel like one so may just be a flaw in the making. There is also a flaw in the bottom of the bottle. Still looks very nice and has some air bubbles in the glass to give it that antique character. The really great thing is that this one still has a partial label. It contained ginger and it was from Indianapolis, IN. It also says it was packaged according to the FDA act of 1906 which attests to how old it is. It measures 7 1/2" tall and 3" in diameter. There is also a symbol on the bottom that looks like a diamond around an I so I believe it was made by the Illinois Glass Co.

Here at auction is an old brown glass apothecary bottle it has a glass stopper. As you can see from the photos the stopper is not stuck it removes easily. no chips or cracks in the bottle the stopper is rough around the bottom edges* see last photo. On the top of the stopper etched into the glass is the number 18 or 81. see photo BORAX GLYCERIN 1 +4 I am not sure how the label is made. It is not paper or glass like a heavy plastic? it shows just slight use. Rare Brown Glass GERMAN Apothecary Pharmacy Novocain Bottle with Label & Stopper
Nice antique BROWN or AMBER glass bottle from a German medical office. I have a few interesting RARE bottles from this collection to list. This one is large and the label(in German) indicates it held procainum hydrochloridum(Novocaine) Bottle measures about 5" high(with the glass stopper in place) and the bottom is 2.75" wide and 2" deep(rectangular) The opening is approximately 1 inch. The Glass stopper fits tightly and still has the string tied holding it in place as it was when I acquired it. There is a strip of paper between the stopper and the bottle which I believe was used to indicate of any moisture. The attached paper label is shown in the pictures and somewhat faded. Below the label and on the opposite side of the bottle the number 280 is etched by hand into the glass. Bottom of bottle has raised marking: 150 X Good ... morecondition. No cracks or chips. This is a brown apothecary jar or bottle embossed" UNC ACID CARBOL" This is an antique jar used to contain Carbolic Acid used as an antiseptic. Lot of 3 antique pharmacy medicine bottles - 2 brown glass + 1 3xxxii Duraglas
This auction is for three large pharmacy bottles. Two are brown and the same size standing 7 1/2" tall and measuring 3" across the bottom. They each have the mark MILS with a rule of numbers coming down the bottle under those initials.one bottle is older than the other for its marks are not as distinct. Both are marked on the bottom but one is smooth and the other has a pebbly texture. On has the original cork and the other is missing the cork. The larger clear bottle is my favorite- haven't seen another made like this. It is 9" tall and the base is 2" X 4" it is marked 3xxxii at the top of the flat side and rows of numbers run down the left side from 3 up to 28 and the right side measures CCs from 50 to 800. The bottle is rounded around the back and it is a 3 part bottle with what I think is an applied screw ... moretop but the lid is missing. So. A nice piece of medical history with no chips or cracks but they need a little loving cleaning. Shipping will be calculated for you. They are not lightweights.

The bottle has a bakelite cap on the top that reads. Merck" The label on the front is torn but I believe this held Magnesium Trisilicate. The bottle measures 10" tall and 4 1/4" across the bottom. This has the mark for Owens-Illinois on the bottom with a diamond over and oval with the letter"I" in the center. There are also the numbers 9 and I think an 8 on the bottom. This is in good condition with no chips or cracks in the glass and no cracks in the cap. There is still some slight water residue inside from washing plus an faint odor that does not seem ... moreto want to wash out. I think the cork on the inside of the cover is holding the smell. 2 VINTAGE Brown Pharmacy/ Apothecary Medicine Bottles: T.C.W. Co. Ground Glass! You are bidding on a pair of pharmacy or apothecary bottles which I believe are sometimes referred to as"tincture" bottles. They clearly held small quantities of either powder or liquid. On the bottom in embossed letters is: T.C.W. Co. USA I don't know much about these vintage items other than they came from a dentist that was retiring and selling his dental equipment. SIZE: They are identical in size: 2-1/4" from bottom to top of stopper. They are what they are. The pictures do a fine job of describing them.
