Show Globes rapidly grew in popularity and were soon recognized as a symbol of the Pharmacy Profession and a place to acquire Pharmaceutical Supplies. RARE* Hanging Apothecary Show Globe The glass is colored a blue color so there is no need to add colored water. Approximately 13" tall when assembled. Not including the chain which is 16 inches. No cracks or chips in the glass. The top part appears to be made of some type of cast metal(mold lines are visible) CORNELL" and"802" are marked on the inside of the top part. 3 screws hold the globe onto the top part. This is a very hard to find. Rare show globe that came from the soda fountain area of any old pharmacy. What a beautiful item to add to your pharmacy display. especially if placed next to a lamp or window! Condition Description: The glass does not have any cracks or chips. Colored a blue color- looks great in the sunlight! The blue color is slightly rubbed away from the top of the globe in a few places but not that ... morenoticeable when the top is attached. These are a set of 2 amber/brown bottles with glass stoppers that I got from a retired doctor. The tallest bottle measures approximately 5 1/4" tall and has raised letters on the bottom that read:T C CO USA 8 the smaller bottle measures approximately 5" tall and the bottom reads:T C W CO USA 2 They are in excellent condition for their age. Upon examination there may be a couple of teeny tiny nicks I am not even sure if they were there from manufacture or not. Large Cobalt Blue Doctors Pharmacist Apothecary Jar
I am told that this is made by Eli Lilly. It is numbered in gold on the bottom. I think this was a part of a set. This is the only one I have. And it is very nice, and in perfect condition. Printed on the jar in gold, is Paeonia Albiflora, which is valued for its medicinal qualities, as well as its beauty. This also comes with a certificate, which explains all the qualities of this plant. The number on the bottom of this jar is, 27–953, written in gold pen. This jar is in mint condition, and from a non-smoking, pet free home. This jar is about 6 inches tall without the lid, and about three and a half inches in diameter at the opening. It is about 9 inches tall, with the lid on, and about 4 inches in diameter at its widest point. The gold decoration on this jar, are in perfect condition. Vintage Wheaton Chemist Apothecary Pharmacist jar in good vintage condition. The jar has a great mushroom glass stopper with the numbers 345 hand etched. The stopper top seems to have been ground down. Somewhat flat on top, doesn't distract from the unique features of this jar. The front of the jar has the number 37 above an empty etched box. Beneath the box, printed in white is the words, WHEATON USA. There seems to be an intentional dent on the bottom of the jar, possibly during the manufacturing process. The chemist jar is approx 6 1/2" with stopper and 5 1/2" without stopper. Bottom is marked WHEATON USA. Please look closely at my pictures as they are part of my description. lot of 4 Antique Vintage Whitall Tatum Apothecary Druggist Pharmacist Bottles
This is a lot of 4 antique blown glass apothecary bottles with ground glass stoppers. Bottles were made by Whitall Tatum& Co.and. Based on the marks on the base, date from the 1901-1924 period. This correlates with the information I have from a past owner who stated that they were from the estate of doctor whose father purchased the bottles new when he established his medical practice between 1901 and 1910. I will provide more detailed information to the high bidder if they desire. Each bottle is approximately 7 1/2" tall including the ground glass stopper. The opening is approximately 1 1/2" and diameter of the bottles is 3" The bottles are in excellent condition. One has a small chip(or perhaps an open bubble) on the lip. Three of the stoppers have tiny chips on their bottom edges. None of these"defects" detract ... morefrom the appearance or functionality of these bottles. Art Deco Pharmacy Show Globe Approximately 9.5" tall when assembled! Appears to be made of molded glass- this is a vintage item. 2 Vintage Apothecary Pharmacist Bottles Cut Glass Stoppers TCW Co Wheaton Glass
Up for auction are 2 apothecary/pharmaceutical bottles with cut glass stoppers. Made by T. C. Wheaton glass of Millville, NJ. Both bottles and one stopper are in perfect condition and one stopper has a small chip at its tip. The bottom of the bottles are inscribed T.C.W. Co. USA 2 and one has 3-L on the bottom also. This trademark was used starting in 1900 and up until 1960 by Wheaton Glass. The wide stopper bottle has a stain inside because I could not remove the stopper. It measures 8" tall x 2 3/4" across the bottom. Nice old apothecary bottle. Estate find. Sulfuric acid- poison bottle. Has paper labels on the front. The pharmacist was A. Niswonger from Providence. KY. Bottle is empty. Has the markings that look like Hazel Atlas on the bottom. No stopper. Needs a little bit of a cleaning. About 5 5/8"tall. If you have any questions, please let me know.
