This auction is for a very very old Apothecary jar marked P. Fer. Sulph. Label is under glass. Some chipping and repairs to the label. Jar and stopper in perfect condition. Stopper and top of jar are both ground. I believe the stopper is original. Neat and rare jar! Measures about 10" with lid and 9" without. Base measures 3 3/8" wide. An estate find comes this really beautiful cobalt blue apothecary jar measuring 11" high with lid in place x 5-1/4" in diameter. The apothecary jar has no chips. Cracks, scratches or repairs, but does have a couple of manufacturing flaws on the lip of the jar which do not affect its integrity. In fact, I think these give it even more character! It is chipped up in one spot on the jars rim. It has a ground stopper. The stopper is in good condition. It has a rough pontil on the bottom. I do not know the maker. Up for bid are 13 bottles 4 of which have lost their labels. 9 are 6 1/2" tall(7" with stopper) 4 are 4 3/4" tall(5 1/4" with stopper) No chips or cracks to the bottles.The glass covering the labels is cracked or chipped on most which is common. I did not see any manufacturer marks. Nice shape considering their age. I have not and will not clean these as the labels and glass covering them are fragile. This amazing huge antique glass apothecary jar is part of a larger vintage apothecary collection. At over 13" high and 4.5" around. This very old jar is impressive. Part of the glass under glass label remains, yet pieces are falling off by the second. There are huge bubbles in the glass; you can see on in the picture of the neck of the bottle, and can barely see one on the jar above the label(second picture) It's very old and has no markings on the bottom. This is an old square glass countertop apothecary candy store jar. It is comes complete with its original knurled ground glass stopper. It stands 9-1/2” tall overall and is 5” wide and is in very good vintage condition. There are some flea bites around the top rim of the side of the stopper and 4 small chips on the bottom inside lip of the stopper as seen in the photos. There are air bubbles in the glass of the stopper and in the jar itself. The bottom of the jar shows wear consistent with age. And has a polished pontil mark. Apothecary jar or bottle. Very rare, antique large 10" tall, 3 1/2" diameter, marked T.C.W.Co. USA#2. The T. C. Wheaton Co. was in operation in Millville New Jersey from 1888- 1910. Bottle is in near mint condition, even though it was used there is no damage. Bottle has original ground glass stopper. This is a wide mouth apothecary jar. See photos. Vintage Antique Apothecary Black Pressed Glass Bottles Jar Ground Stopper Beautiful thick black glass apothecary bottles. Stars in pewter are on three sides of the bottles. Ground frosted glass on the stopper and inside the neck. Both stoppers have a pewter color glass trim and the same on the top of the bottles. The bottles are the same size but one has a larger neck and stopper. There is a small chip on the frosted edge of the large stopper. The small stopper has a small(hardly visible) chip on the side and you can see that the pewter goes all the way through. Not painted on. They are 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" and 4-1/2" tall. Two vintage 1880's- 1900's pharmacy pharmacist pharmaceutical apothecary drug store collectible medicine herb tonic bottle jar. Both are heavy thick clear glass bottle bottles jar jars with round ground glass stopper stoppers. One Wine of Citrate Of Iron labeled"Vin. Ferr. Am. bottle measures 8 3/4" tall(with ground glass stopper lid) by 2 3/4" by 2 3/4" The label area on the bottle is recessed into the glass.The label has great gold. Black white and red The bottom of the jar is embossed with"W. T. Co. Pat. Apr. 2, 1889" There are dark liquid contents remaining. The ground glass stopper is so firmly in place that I am hesitant to emove it as to not damage the area. The bottle has been tested(upside down overnight) and there is absolutely no leaking. The bottle and stopper are in very good condition. Whitall, Tatum& Company was located in Millvill, NJ and was in business from 1875 until 1901. The bottom of the jar is embossed with the letters"WT&CO" and below the letter"A" This jar was never intended for medical or chemical products. It may have been a candy store jar. The minor flakes on the ground glass stopper are easily repairable if desired. A great display piece for candy, food products and small collections such as seashells.

And actually from a drug store, an estate sale where these were passed along for decades, from the grandfather who owned a drug store. 3 large bottles 10" tall, 18 medium bottles 9" tall, and 5 smaller at 7" tall, all with their ground glass stoppers. All but part of one label are long gone, 18 bottles are in excellent shape with no cracks or chips, the ones with chips- 1 large, 2 medium, and 5 small. Here is a 3 pc lot of antique drug store apothecary bottles with ground glass stoppers from the late 1800's. Are 10" tall with stoppers, mouths are 3" OD and 2-1/4" ID inside diameter. I have not cleaned these bottles, are not stained but have some have some traces of power inside, the bottles show some chips on top rims and some scratches on sides, all stoppers very nice with no chips- please see the many photos. I have 2 other listings of the exact same style of bottle but in 2 other smaller of 7" and 9" the last photo shows the relative sizes(this listing is for the 3 large bottles) And of course will combine any of my items if possible, to save on shipping costs. Vintage Glass Apothecary Jar With Ground Lid Thumbprint Stopper St. Louis
This is another one of my apothecary jars that I've had for years. It is about 10 1/2" tall and 3 1/2" wide. What I loved about it was the heavy thumbprint ground glass stopper. It is marked on the bottom but is blurry. I can make out St. Louis and Pat. 1884 or 1894. Now it does have a crack that starts down one side then goes underneath. The crack you cannot feel it except for a tiny part of it on the bottom. It looks like it was sat down too hard at one time. It is still a large and beautiful jar. If you have any questions. 2 Antique Apothecary Amber Medicine Glass Bottle Jar Ground Stopper Glass Label
For your consideration are 2 Wonderful Estate found Apothecary Jars. One Stand 5 3/4" tall the small one is 2" tall. Both with ground stopper Tops. I see bubble in the larger bottles stopper and jar. The stopper has two indented areas that feel rough. You can see it in Photo 3. The larger one has a Latin Abbreviated drug name under glass. The smaller one appeared to have a sticker across the top of the stopper. Old residue can be seen in last photo. Embossed on the base of the small jar only T.C.W. co. Both Clean inside. Previous owner placed some scotch tape around some of the ground glass stopper to protect it. I have left it in place. Glass has bubbles in it. Perfect for your apothecary Drug display. APOTHECARY JAR Acquired at an estate sale is this thick clear glass apothecary jar with ground glass stopper. Measures 11-1/2 inches tall to the top of the stopper. 9 ½ inches tall to the top of the opening in the jar, 4-1/2 inches across the top, 4 inches across the actual opening and the bottom is 5 inches by 5 inches. The stopper and jar have manufacturers seam lines. The stopper has dimples on the side to make gripping the stopper easier to take on and off. There are about three small chips in the bottom of the stopper– see photo. These chips are very common for these jars from years of placing the lid on and off. There are no other chips. Vintage Pyrex Sulfuric Acid Apothecary Bottle Jar H2SO4 Ground Glass Stopper
This vintage Pyrex sulfuric acid bottle stands approximately 8" high and is 3-1/4" in diameter. The graphics are pretty good. As you see. There is a hint on marker on the front on the glass part that can be washed off. There is a ground glass stopper and ground glass neck that fit nice and snugly together. Up for auction is an Antique Glass Apothecary Jar with a Ground Stopper. The jar has a square body with a few tool marks on the shoulders where it was stretched. These jars could be found in candy stores and pharmacies during the early 20th century. The jar stands approximately 10 inches tall and is approximately 5 inches wide. The mouth of the jar measures at approximately 4 inches wide. There is a tiny knick on the rim of the lid but otherwise the jar is in very good condition.
