~ANTIQUE APOTHECARY CHEMICAL LABORATORY MEDICAL WHEATON GLASS BOTTLES LOT~ Up for bid is a nice 4 chemical glass bottle lot from the late 1800s to the early 20th Century from one of the great bottle companies of the era The Wheaton Glass Company. The T.C. Wheaton Company was started in 1888 by Dr. Theodore C. Wheaton. They started by making ampoules. Viles, and chemical bottles. In 1892 they expanded and started to produce perfume bottles, and in 1937 expanded again to accommodate the growing consumer demand. 1946 the Wheaton Glass Company started to delineate the different product lines. The company was sold to Algroup in 1996. The four heavy glass chemical bottles are: Acid Acetic, Ammonium Hydroxide, Barium Chloride, and Alcohol. The bottles have all been cleaned and there is no smell to the inside of the bottle. They are 8 inches tall ... morewith stopper, about 7 inches at the top of the neck and are 3 inches in diameter. The glass stopper is 2 ¼ inches long. The bottles have raised lettering of the Chemical name and compounds on the front. Three of the bottles have strings tied to the glass stopper and the neck of the bottle. On the bottom of the bottle it is stamped Wheaton, No-Sol-Vit, 5 U.S.A. The Alcohol and Barium bottles are stamped with the number 5, the Acid is stamped with the number 4, and the Ammonium is stamped with the number 3. There are no cracks, chips, breaks, or deep scratches. The overall condition of these Antique bottles is excellent for their age and use. VTG 2 WHEATON APOTHECARY JARS/BOTTLES with GLASS MUSHROOM STOPPERS
These 2 neat old bottles have never been used. They were found in a case each tied with a string holding the stopper in place and a tiny piece of paper between the top and bottom. They stand a little over 3 1/2 inches tall and measure 1 3/4 inches in diameter across the bottom and are marked: T.C.M. Co. USA. The old box they were found in had totally deteriorated but was marked on the side Wheaton 2200 Squat Wide Mouth Btle with Hood Stopper. Their orginal destination was The Central Laboratory, Tennessee Dept of Public Health, Nashville 3, Tennessee. The Post Office started using the zip codes in 1961 so they had to be made prior to that date. Lidded Apothecary Drug Store Clear Glass Jar 12 3/4" Tall No Reserve This jar is in very good condition. MADE BY THE WHEATON GLASS CO. LOCATED IN MILLEVILLE NJ. THE OWNER OF WHEATON GLASS WAS A PHARMACIST WHO STARTED HIS OWN GLASS COMPANY IN 1888. THIS JAR IS FROM 1946. There is a"W" in a circle and a"6" on the bottom. It is 3 1/8" wide on all sides. There is a little play in the lid. Not sure if it once had a cork. The lid is 3 3/4" tall.

Up for your consideration is an older T.C.W. Co. druggist bottle with stopper. The bottle has the word"Trigom" on one side. The word is handwritten and has some fading to the letters. On the other side. As well as on the stopper, is the number 212. Also on the top of the stopper. There's a handwritten T in black paint. We didn't notice any chips or cracks on the bottle, however. Vintage Wheaton Chemist Apothecary Pharmacist jar in good vintage condition. The jar has a great mushroom glass stopper with the numbers 345 hand etched. The stopper top seems to have been ground down. Somewhat flat on top, doesn't distract from the unique features of this jar. The front of the jar has the number 37 above an empty etched box. Beneath the box, printed in white is the words, WHEATON USA. There seems to be an intentional dent on the bottom of the jar, possibly during the manufacturing process. The chemist jar is approx 6 1/2" with stopper and 5 1/2" without stopper. Bottom is marked WHEATON USA. Please look closely at my pictures as they are part of my description. Another unique item from Indelible Curiosities Description: Wonderful set of five antique early 1900s apothecary jars all of which are embossed on their bottoms with the maker's mark of the T. C. Wheaton Glass Company which they used beginning in 1900. T. C. W. Co. and are in great condition. Some of them still have the remnants of whatever they last contained. Two have stoppers with numbers on them, 249 and 19. We love anything antique apothecary for year round decor but these really strut their stuff at Halloween! Dimensions: Heights including stoppers range from 7 3/4" 8 1/2" h x 3 1/4" diameter of base Condition: Bottles are in great condition overall. One has remnants of a paper label.
