OLD~ViNTaGe 4 SIDED~BOWED~Footed Glass Drug Store~Apothecary~Candy Jar w/Lid
This vintage four sided glass apothecary jar has excellent bowed sides. Nice paneled rib type patterns to the stem above its footed base and to the top of the jar just below its lid, a starburst type pattern on top of its lid, and a plastic seal. It measures approximately 9 1/2" to the top of its lid, or 8" to the top of the jar not counting its lid, by approximately 4 1/2" to 4 3/4" by 3 3/4" across at its widest points depending on which way you measure it. It is embossed with an I within an O on the bottom of the jar which I believe stands for Owens Illinois Glass Co. and also numbers 9(I think) 7, and 13 as I tried to show in the last photo. It is in very good condition, and has no chips, cracks, or staining. Bright spots are only light reflections. Very nice piece being offered with no reserve! Large Green Apothecary Drug Store Candy Jar Antique Blown Glass Ground Lid
Large green blown glass apothecary- drug store jar. Measures almost 9" in height& 5.25" at it's widest. Jar is in very good vintage condition with no damage other than a few nicks on the base of the lid(see photo) which is not noticeable when lid is on. Lid rim& inside where it fits is ground. There are tiny air bubbles and waves through out the glass which is typical for the period. It has been in storage for years and I didn't bother cleaning it up after unwrapping so it will look a bit dusty. Lovely piece to look at and admire!

Dakota Tiffin EAPG Glass Ground Jar Lid 3 3/4" Apothecary Candy Drug Store
Here is a glass lid for a candy or apothecary jar. This came from the estate of a collector. The base of the ground stopper has an outside diameter of 3 3/4" with the taper widening to about 4" though this last measurement is hard to get precise) This had a sticker with it that said Dakota lid. It has 15 of the"thumb print" type impressions going around it. It has a ground glass base. Three seam lines. Very good condition. Only has a few minor small scratches and the inside lip has a few sand grain sized nicks(see last photo) and one sand grain nick to outside rim. This will be safely packaged.

Antique Show Jar General Store Candy Apothecary Old Glass Amber Lid Horizontal
Exceptional estate find! Beautiful old apothecary/ general store candy jar which is designed to lay lengthwise. One side of jar has two"runners" Picture#s 4 and 12) on which the jar is designed to lay flat. Jar also stands on end but there is a little wobble when it does. Sometimes called a"show" jar to easily see what's inside. Thick. Heavy, textured glass. Picture#7 captures one of several bubbles caught in the old glass. Picture#9 shows two bubbles in the old glass of the amber lid. There is also a"straw mark" or two, characteristic of old glass but almost impossible to photo! Glass is thick and textured. Beautiful amber lid is ground, as is the interior of the neck. Diameter of inside of neck is 3.5 inches, as is the widest diameter of the amber lid. Rim of lid has three tiny chips which don't detract ... morein any way. Jar measures just under 12" Picture#1 shows the very interesting contour of this jar. It is really a wonderful old bottle. Hello Collectors, Thank you for stopping here to look. In this auction you will find a vintage Apothecary Drug Store Jar. The Jar and it's lid are clear glass. It is rectangle or a tall square in shape. The lid is round with notches around it to make it easy to grip onto. On one side there's a indented area in the center. This looks to be where a label would go. The size is 11" tall without the lid and 13" with the lid placed inside. Both the inside of the Jar and the Lid have been ground for a tight fit. There's no chips. Cracks, nicks, or repairs. It is clean and free of stains. Thank you again for looking.
