Apothecary Bottle Circa. 1800's. 9 1/2" tall Blown Glass. LUG(Label Under Glass) The stoppers ground glass base is chipped and the Glass Label is in poor condition. See photo below) The thumbprint top was made wth a large shapely bubble of air in the center section and has no chips or cracks, and the indents are sharply cut. There is a pontil mark on the base. The apothecary bottle. Circa 1870s came from a Brooklyn Pharmacy established in 1875. It measures 9 1/2" high to the top of the ground glass stopper by 2 3/4" wide at the base. I will also include an original printed envelope(see below) Showing the location and establishment date of the pharmacy where this bottle was used. Mold Blown Glass Bottle Apothecary /Toilet - 25 Ribs -Ground Stopper - Pontil
Up for bids is a beautiful and unique mold blown bo ttle. It has 25 deep horizontal rib s. A flared lip and no visible seams. I was told it's a poison bottle- unsure of what is what used for. Ground stopper and neck along with great pontil on base. I cleaned it out the best I could. Although still some residue and condensation in the grooves and on the bottom. Otherwise, this bottle is in EXCELLENT CONDITION. There is a VERY SMALL chip on the lip as seen in pictures. Measures 10" tall(with stopper in) 1" opening 5" base diameter 1 3/4" stopper length Orders ship within 2 days. 19TH C BLOWN & CUT APOTHECARY DRUG BOTTLE JAR RED RUBY GLASS ENAMEL LABEL & GILT
This is a wonderful and Rare Late 19th Century Blown& Cut Ruby Red Glass Apothecary Bottle/ Jar with Original Stopper and Enameled& Gilt Decorated Label. It stands approximately 5-1/4" tall to the flat-top of the facet cut stopper. The shield shaped enameled label reads" KOUSSO D'ABISSIN: POLV: and is framed with gilt accents. The underside of the bottle shows the number'15' in script. Which is possibly the shelf location number. Both the bottle and stopper are blown and cut with facet panels. It is in beautiful estate condition with NO cracks. NO repairs, NO replacements, NO cloudiness and NO sickness. It shows only very minor age appropriate wear, as shown in the photos, including a very tiny, speck bruise on one facet point of the stopper edge with an equally tiny fleck just underneath, which should go unmentioned, ... morebut offered for accuracy. This is an antique bottle measuring approx. 8" tall and 3" wide. It is hand blown with the pontil on the bottom(no seams) and beautiful wavy glass. On the front of the bottle is a hand drawn and painted paper label(one of a kind) that reads"Luck in a Bottle. I was using it as part of a Halloween display of antique apothecary bottles; however. This antique apothecary bottle is 7 1/4" high not counting the stopper and 2 1/2" square. It has an indented rectangular area for a label. Nice condition overall. There are some slight imperfections in the glass including a long bubble inside the neck. There's also some minor discoloration from residue. Which I didn't try to clean out.

A rare large 18th century blown glass apothecary/ pharmacy/ chemistry bottle with cold painted label; black painted number 120 on a cream-white oval with gold paint border. The upper half adorned with a green color wreath and red knotted ribbon above. Blown by the German half-post method. Clear glass with a faint gray-green tinge. Glass metal contains a few impurities(typical white lumps) small air bubbles, swirling. Rough pontil scar below the base. The last scan shows some of them including this large one with the number 120 label. In the back right. The bottle stands approx 23.5 cm tall. Diameter across base: approx. 11,5 cm. Crack in the shoulder. Probably a stress crack caused during manufacture by a visible large inclusion, a white lump of silica/quartz. Very Large Antique Hand Blown Apothecary Bottle with Ground Glass Lid and Pontil Mark You are bidding on a Rare Early(circa 1870-1880) Large Antique Hand Blown Apothecary Bottle with Ground Glass Lid. It shows the pontil mark on the base indicating that it was handmade. The bottle measures about 17 ½” 445 mm) tall. It is about 7 ½ in diameter. It has some waviness form the blowing and turning during it making. The shoulders are nice and round and the neck transforms into a nice 3” diameter opening. It is relatively lightweight for its size attesting to the skill of the glass blower who made it. There is virtually no wear and the bottle is in excellent chip and crack free condition. There are some minor defect at the rim of the opening; but nothing that detracts from its beauty and form. See photos. This is a wonderful 19th century Blown Clear Glass Apothecary Bottle with original Pressed Glass Stopper. It stands approximately 10" tall to the top of the stopper and the base measures approximately 3-3/8" in diameter. It is in beautiful estate condition with only very minimal signs of age appropriate wear. The clear blown glass bottle has NO chips. NO cracks, NO repairs and NO re-grinding. It shows only the production appropriate pontil scar, wear on the bottom and minor, faint interior sediment at the bottom. The original mold pressed stopper fits perfectly and shows only production period appropriate mold& bubble trace marks with very minor roughness on the interior collar, most likely from the molding and appropriate production grinding. There is one very, very tiny flake under the stopper edge which is nearly impossible ... moreto see or feel, but is mentioned for accuracy. This is a wonderful example of 19th century blown glass and it would be a welcomed addition to join a grouping of like bottles or to fill for a wonderful antique decorative accessory. Circa 1870s, that was rescued from the basement of a family-owned Brooklyn pharmacy established in 1875. It is 9 1/2" high to the top of the ground glass stopper by 2 3/4" wide. Featuring a straight sided jar with wide. Flat foot, and applied glass decorative bands, removable lid seats down into the jar- neither piece is ground around the collar- tiered finial is blown as well. Condition is very nice with two small chips on the inner rim of the jar and extremely fine roughness on the inside of the lid rim- chips are difficult to see when lid is in place. Jar is full of wavy lines with some cased bubbles- due to the hand made nature of the glass, jar or applied bands may be slightly irregular- base has a very large, rough pontil. Apothecary Jar c 1870. Blown Glass, LUG(Label Under Glass) ZINC.ACET(Zinc Acetate) an Astringent. Used in Eye washes. Injections,etc. It measures 8 1/2" high to the top of the ground glass stopper by 2 3/4" wide at the base. The bottle has a ground glass stopper and there is a pontil mark on the base. THE BOTTLE IS CRYSTAL CLEAR, BOTH BOTTLE AND TOP ARE IN PERFECT CONDITION. THE ORIGINAL GLASS LABEL IS IN GOOD CONDITION with some chipping at edge on the gold border. See photos)

Apothecary Bottle c 1870. 10" Blown Glass, LUG(Label Under Glass) F.E. LAVEND.C. Label Under Glass) F.E. LAVEND.C. It measures 10" high to the top of the ground glass stopper by 2 3/4" wide at the base. The thumbprint top was made wth a large shapely bubble of air in the center section, and the indents are sharply cut. There is a pontil mark on the base. The Bottle is Crystal Clear and in excellent condition however the glass label is chipped and partialy missing on one side. A paper label on the back is faded and I can only make out a few words(See photos) The price of this bottle has been reduced due to the damaged labels. Small Antique Clear Glass Apothecary Jar Bottle Hollow Blown Bulb Knob Stopper A 26 years long time antique dealer in this area is closing her doors for good. And I actually spent two days picking this weekend through her stuff. She specialized in very old primitives, but I was able to grab a little bit for everyone– I have some fabulous advertising, industrial, retro, deco, lots of store displays and apothecary too– you don’t want to miss this week! Oh yes. I have lots more apothecary for you! And this one is one of my favorites- it's just so unusual. first, you notice the stopper. You can see the lines from the blowing of it all around the bulb shape of it, and you can alsoe see that it's mostly hollow on the inside- at least 2/3 of it is as there's a finger sized hollow space that runs into the glass of the stopper. The remaining ... more1/3 is solid glass over the hollow area. Also, as far as I can tell, the bottle is not molded- I see no mold marks at all, and you can clearly see the rings of lines around the pontil at the bottom. The clear glass bottle measures 5" tall in total, 3 1/4" tall to the top of the bottle alone and 1 3/4" diameter at the bottom. At first, I thought that the bottom of the stopper was frosted, but it's smooth- does not feel like frosted glass, and there's sosososo much milky white residue inside both of the botttle and the stopper, it's really hard to tell for sure. It needs a good bath- I do not clean or mess with as found patina in any way. The bottle is in excellent condition- I cannot find any chips or cracks. It has lots of anomalies original to the making, bubbles, burps and bumps- a couple of bumps that I can feel along the perimeter of the top, but they are not damage, they are bumps. The stopper has small shallow chips, nibbles and nicks along the inside bottom rim, and what appears to be a hairline crack running from the bottom rim up that is 3.8" long. See photos 9-13. Cracks or fleabites. A few light scratches on body of jar. Stopper has some roughness around ground edge but I think this is just a product of the manufacturing process as well as one small chip.
