This listing is for a square shaped apothecary gallon container. This circa 1900 pharmaceutical amber jug has seams on opposing sides and also in a circle at the base. There is a diamond shaped mold mark with a dot in the center as well as the number 5. This piece measures approximately 13 1/4" in height and has the original cork. It is in excellent condition without chips. Nicks or cracks. The cork is somewhat crumbly and I didn't remove to clean the inside which has light residue.

I believe this antique jar is French but I am not certain. With the top on it measures just under 7 inches tall and it is 3 1/8 inches in diameter at the bottom. This jar is a blown jar and has a polished pontil at the bottom. The enameled label appears to be hand painted. At least the letter is. The lid has the number 34 faintly etched on the top and the top also looks to be blown and it has a glass blob on the bottom to seal it. The jar has one small chip on the top rim but other than that it is in very good condition with no other chips or cracks. This bottle measures 8.5 inches tall with a 4 inch in diameter base. The glass in this bottle is not all the way smooth as it has a rippled or wavy look and feel. As you can see in the 2nd to last picture. This bottle has" 505" etched in the glass. It appears to be a chemist etching. It is not well seen with the naked eye, but it shows up well with proper lighting. There are no other markings on the bottle. I am not sure what chemical it once contained. It is in great condition with no chips or cracks. There are some small bubbles in the glass which indicates this is an older piece. Very cool old bottle great to display! Rare apothecary amberish brown glass jar with stopper used in a 7th Avenue. Manhattan, New York City, pharmacy in the 1930s through 1940s. It was considered an antique then, and may be from the turn of the century or earlier. Jar is from a private medical collection. Inset"Amylum" label is glass. And is part of the bottle, not stuck on. Amylum is a type of vegetable starch used in making pharmaceutical compounds, in the days when pharmacists used their mortar and pestles to create medical tablets and capsules. Jar is 9 1/2" tall. No cracks or chips in jar or stopper.

Antique apothecary jar measures 12 1/2" high. I am not sure of the maker but think it may be Dakota by the style. Ground lid with broken pontil bottom. Few miniscule flea bites on the bottom edge of the lid. Very tiny and mentioned to be accurate in description as they are barely noticeable. Notice in the last photo some scratches and an imperfection in the glass. Not a chip or crack. Huge Antique Glass Dakota Apothecary Candy Drugstore Jar Pharmaceutical GREAT!!
THIS AUCTION IS FOR AN ANTIQUE APOTHECARY JAR. This is an absolutely stunning jar! It is huge! Pics really don't do justice. The jar is crystal clear. It has a thumbprint pattern on the lid, the top of the jar and around the base. It measures 15 1/2 inches tall with a pedestal that is 7 inches in diameter. The ball part of the jar measures 25 inches around. There is a small chip on the under side of the lid, but not on the piece that goes into the jar. It is not easily seen. There is another small chip on the rim of the jar. It is not seen when the lid is on the jar. I have added pictures of both chips so there isn't any mistake about the condition. It is a fantastic piece and very old. Antique Amber Apothecary Pharmaceutical Bottle - Sp. Cinnam.Spirit of Cinnamon
This is a very old drugstore EMPTY medicine bottle. My research shows that Sp. Cinnam. meant Spirit of Cinnamon and had 10% cinnamon to 90% alcohol. I believe it was from the late 1800's. Early 1900's. The bottle is about 8.5" high and is a dark amber. The stopper is grounded glass and is just a little rough. The rim of the bottle has one small chip. The bottle label is covered in glass and the glass over the label is known to break easily. There is a little crazing in the label glass cover but it is still intact. We found this fabulous antique doctor's apothecary medicine leather case. With 40 original glass vials, in the attic eaves of a local estate. This black leather travel bag has a top carry handle and snaps closed at the front by means of a push lever. Interior of bag has four sections with metal clips that hold 10 bottles in each section. Condition: Glass vials are perfect and do not look like they were ever used. Threaded metal caps have cork embedded in the top. I found about 6 caps that have a small amount of corrosion. Otherwise all are perfect. Case is in excellent condition inside and outside. The leather strap on top shows wear, but remains very strong. The strap that closes the case shows the most ... morewear, but is still holding together. Measurements: Bottles are 3 1/2 inches high and 3/4 inch diameter.
