Made of walnut and burled walnut veneer, the desk has 3 drawers in the lower section, the middle section is a drop front desk with pigeon holes and leather work space, the upper section has leaded glass doors and adjustable shelves. There is no reserve on this really beautiful antique walnut slant front drop lid secretary desk with bookcase top. The bookcase top has 2 shelves above the base of it. The desk is 80 inches tall. 39 inches wide, 17 inches deep. There are 2 dove tailed drawers at the writing surface level, one on either side of the 8 divided storage sections. The writing surface is in good condition. When the drop is open it is supported by 2 wooden boards that pull out under it. When the drop is closed, you can access 1 long dove tailed drawer and below the drawer 2 doors open to a base with 1 shelf in it. All the brass hardware is original and in good condition except a repaired handle on the left side of the bottom of the base. Excellent condition. Buyer must arrange and pay for pick up and delivery.

Antique Slant Drop Front Oak Secretary Desk - Lionhead
I am not an expert but an antique furniture appraiser looked at this piece recently and stated this is a unique desk that he's never seen one quite like it. It was likely made in the early 1900's. Made of oak. And has a spooncarved front. There are no identifying markings. It is in excellent shape and it has the original finish. Brass fittings show a bit of tarnish but should clean up easily with a little TLC. Three of the posts on the brass rail at the top are loose but can be easily secured with a little bit of attention. One of the rail ends is stripped so that will need to be secured as well. Otherwise this piece is ready for your home. I would be happy to provide more detailed photos if requested. Hello. Here's a great old project desk. OAK SECRETARY DESK! It measures: 41" Tall in the back. The desk to is approx 28" off floor, 30 3/4" Wide x 14" Deep, with 2 3/4" deep Drawers. It's very solid& quite attractive despite is custom huumm paint job. It looks like pretty OAK underneath. Just needs some elbow grease to bring it back out. It needs work but it's not all hammered up, doesn't look like it's been abused(except for paint) I have no keys to it, unknown if locks work properly. A very fine Adam Georgian style drop front desk by the Johnson Furnture Co. Circa 1950's? The box case has satinwood veneers, the drop front with hand painted enamel classical urn with flowers. The interior has an olive green enamel cubbyhole with two drawers, the writing frame has satinwood veneer, and green leather pad. There is a drawer with maple knobs. The tapered square legs and skirt are maple. It measures 38-1/2" tall by 26-3/4" wide by 16-1/4" deep, the drop front down is 27" from the floor. The pad is 21-1/4" by 7-1/2" Includes the lock and key. Excellent condition: all solids and veneers without chips or cracks, original finish not scratched, no ring spots. The urn and flowers is without wear. The interior is equally fine.

Beautiful signed Gustav Stickley Drop Front Desk from 1905-1912. The desk is made of quarter sawn oak with an excellent original finish. The piece has excellent. Bulky form with 3 drawers under the drop front and many interior dividers for papers. It sits on original casters and features excellent hammered iron pulls with their original patina. The piece is sturdy and strong. It is signed with an early red decal inside one drawer and has the remnants of a paper label on the back. This is a very nice piece and would look very nice in a craftsman style home or make a very nice decorative piece. There is a moisture ring on the top and the ink stain on inside of the drop front that do not detract from the beauty but show its age, character, and use throughout the years. Some of the oak pieces are stamped with numbers, I've talked to experts ... morein the field and they tell me it was common for Gustav Stickley to number the wood pieces to simplify the construction process. I've included a picture of one of these stamped numbers. All the stampings are in inconspicuous places, such as underneath the bottom lip of the drawers. Please see the pictures for more details. Scotland and is mahogany with beautiful burl inlay, carved trim, ball and claw feet, really nice tear drop metal pulls and glass doors with wood frets protecting the bookcase. This delightful piece stands 77 inches tall and measures 39 inches wide by 18 inches deep. Front to back. It travels safely in two pieces, the top 36 inches wide by 9 inches deep front to back and 36 inches tall. This desk dates back to the early 1900's. It measures 32-1/2" wide x 39" tall(to the flat top of the desk) x 15" deep. It has a little paint splatter on the top and one side but you should be able to get it off. It does not have a key. Antique Chippendale Mahogany Combo Drop Front Secretary Desk
This antique vintage Chippendale-style mahogany drop front secretary has 3 curved drawers for plenty of storage. Still has the original blown glass in the display/ curio case doors, and all its original hardware including the key that locks the drop desk top. Inside the desk there are 3 small drawers& several pigeon holes, and has ball& claw feet. Dimensions are 78" high. 34" wide, and 17” deep. This item is in great condition with very few blemishes.
