For sale is a 1950s 2 arm industrial Jielde multi angle articulated machine ... morelamp. The aluminium elbows have been polished. The lamp is in working order and comes with 2.4 metres of new flex but not the plug as it is a French one. It is in very good used condition with some very minor signs of use to the reflector's surface. The reflector has its original high temperature painted surface and still has the bulb wattage/voltage sticker intact. The switch is in the base. I have included the lamp's weighted vehicle brake disc base in the sale. These lamps are very sort after and nice examples like this are becoming difficult to find. The photos don't do it justice! The lamp takes a Standard Bayonet cap bulb(B22) which are available at all DIY outlets. Bulb not included. The maximum wattage is 150w. Jielde lamps were designed by Jean-Louis Domecq for direct mounting on machine tools and for use in workshops. The lamps have now become particularly fashionable for use in loft style apartments and in homes generally as desk lamp/floor or wall lamps. So, hence I have fitted a trailing flexible lead to make the light more useable in the home. I have displayed this light using a vehicle brake disc which provides a solid base to show a typical method of mounting the light. Heavy sprockets. Hardwood- anything heavy will do the job. The light can also be fixed to a wall if required using its mounting base/bracket which has 3 holes in it. Although the light isn't heavy, it will require a solid wall and sturdy fixings to mount it as the movement required to adjust the lamp to the desired position will put stress on the mounting. If you do not want the brake disc included in the sale, then I will discount the postage by £10. Dimensions: Maximum extended height is 110cm( 44" The shade dia. is 16cm. It is all wood except for pulls, which look like bakelite. It is 6 3/4" wide, 4 1/2" deep, and 3 1/2" tall. It has inlaid veneer, three drawers. Veneer is cracked on the back and bottom is a little warped. A cute little piece- good scale to use with an 8" doll such as a Ginny Doll.

Vintage 1950's Child's Rolltop Desk and Chair
This is my childhood rolltop desk and swivel chair which dates back to approximately 1953-1956. It has been loved and well cared for through the years and still retains its lustre. I believe it to be made of solid maple and is very sturdy. Inside of the rolltop are 5 cubbyhole compartments and 1 drawer. The front has 4 drawers and 1 pull-out shelf for extra writing space. The desk measures 37 1/2" high x 29 3/4" wide x 18" deep. The swivel chair is 27 1/2" high. The seat measures 14 1/4" x 14" Location is Adamstown. PA, near Lancaster and Reading; 1 hour from Philadelphia. There are very few signs of wear. A perfect gift for that special child.

1920-1950 Original Owner Vintage Chippendale Mahogany Secretary This is an authentic antique. Early 20th century circa 1920-1950 Chippendale Federal-Style One-Piece Block Front Secretary. Made mainly of solid mahogany wood. And with minimal veneer that is normal to the design of the age. Many photos are posted so that you can see the quality of this beautiful desk and how well the secretary has been cared for, being from only one owner. This desk is in excellent used condition being from the original owner. There are no repairs. But does have minor wear from use. This beautiful desk also has the original patina and has never been refinished. So initially Day made models for architects. The outbreak of the war did not improve his prospects. Ruled out from active service by asthma, he taught at Beckenham School of Art, where he devised an innovative course ... morein three-dimensional design. It was there he met a fellow teacher, Clive Latimer, who went on to share Day's first great success as a designer when, in 1948, the pair won the International Competition for Low-Cost Furniture held at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. It also resulted in Day being invited to design furniture for Hille who at the time specialised in the manufacture of high quality reproduction furniture. this is a used desk. Thiers a metal sign on it that says robert w. irwin company grand rapids in side one of the drawers it aslo has lots of scrapes scatches some tares, but tares are visible on a couple of the drawers,and im missing one of the knobs, also one knob is broken and thier are 4 screws missing also but i hope you,ll find it desk useful as antique desk are of some value i here im just not a antique kind of person. i liked it because i was able to display my picture under the glass very neat! pickup only.

Solid pine drop-front desk with dark wood stain and three generous drawers. Purchased new 65 years ago. Has been well used and loved by one family. Piece shows some wear- missing one drawer pull, inside shelf loose, some stains on exterior finish, broken leg has been repaired. Sand and refinish and it will look like a new piece! Up for bid is a piece of history. A Near Antique Telephone Desk(Stand) Secretary with a Matching Chair. These cute pieces are approximately 75 years old. Desk dimensions: 20" W x 13" D x 28.5" Tall-small and compact design. Chair dimensions: Seat is 19.5" Tall and 12" x 12" The chair back is 24" Tall. The desk has a 3.5" opening for storage/ telephone book. The chair has a needle-pointed seat cushion with a flower design-all made by hand. The desk/ chair set can be used as a child's desk or as a telephone center. These pieces do have loose joints that need a little TLC. The joints can be easily tightened.a little polishing and you will have lovely pieces of Americana.

This is a handsome Arts& Crafts/Mission style desk that is in very good condition. The desk needs to be cleaned and there are some stains in the desk top finish. And some surface damage to legs from regular use and age. The drawer moves smoothly, and all joints are in good shape. Refinished this desk will be gorgeous. This desk has been in our family since the 1950's. Can't find a brand name of any kind, but this is definitely solid wood, and definitely needs some TLC as you can see from photos. NO deep scratches. Just some sticky staining/discoloration on top mostly, and several small chips on back edge. 4 small drawers. 2 large drawers, 1 wide center top drawer. 47" long. 22" wide, 30" height chair is included This is a decent SOLID piece of wood furniture; we are not handy with any refinishing skills.
