This gorgeous hutch speaks for itself. It was a family heirloom. Passed down through many generations of a New Jersey family. It is a solid piece made from Teak wood with the original hardware on it. It has been hand painted in Coco Chalk Paint. A warm greyed brown reminiscent of old French woodwork, with Emperors Silk on the inside for a dramatic eye catching effect. This is a bright pure red like the red silk lining of a jacket. Finally it was waxed with a clear wax to seal and protect the distinguished finish. The outside was painted in Annie Sloan Chalk paint Antibes and Napoleonic Blue, then waxed with clear and dark wax and ever so slightly distressed on the edges. The head has had some small repairs(see pictures) A lot of times they are almost impossible to remove from old buildings so it isn't in a too bad shape. It is solid now. Of course you can fill the plaster at the back to make it more sturdy. I have left it as it was. It comes from the town Dordrecht in the Netherlands. It was originally all brown(like the color you see from the back side view in my last two photos) and it did nothing for the features of this piece! It has been updated with pretty blue colored chalk paint. Distressed and antiqued in some areas. It was then waxed and buffed to keep it looking beautiful for many years! The only flaw is that the bottom portion of the frame did have damage previously before being upcycled and although this portion of the frame is difficult to see once hung. I have painted and distressed this area to camouflage it even more! Please view the photos ... moreof this area for a better description. The original mirror is still in excellent condition! This piece can have the mirror removed and have a chalk board or memo board added to it instead simply by removing the screws on the backer board. It measures about 33" in height x 18-5/8" wide x just about 1-1/2" deep. The mirror itself measures about 19-1/4" in height x 11-3/8" wide. The brackets are securely attached for wall hanging. Shabby Cottage Chic Upcycled Antique Carved Wooden Hexagon Side Accent Table For your consideration is this gorgeous ornately carved hexagon table made of very solid wood which I believe is red mahogany. It HAD scratch marks and needed some TLC so I painted it using Annie Sloan Old White Chalk Paint. Waxed it with clear, then applied dark wax and once again with clear wax while buffing. It can easily be buffed again with a clear wax to remove more of the darker wax if desired. The more you do this. The more of the darker wax will fade. I like the Old World charm this solid table offers! I thought of adding more color to this piece however I decided to allow the carvings to be the center of attention. It would look more ethnic if gem or bead embellishments were added along the carved designs! It measures about 14-1/2" in diameter along ... morethe top x 18-1/2" in height. The wood used on the table sides is about 1/2" in thickness. The top piece of wood is about 3/4" thick. It is a perfect side table for almost any room! Chalk Painted Dresser 2 Drawers Distressed Paint Look
Upcycled Chalk Painted Distress Look 2 Drawer Dresser This is an upcycled 2 drawer dresser that has been painted with chalk paint in a distress look style. The dresser is all wood. It originally was ready to be thrown out. The top of the dresser had at least 10 or more coats of varnish that was bubbled. Chipped, and peeling. I stripped off all the varnish and sanded the top. I also sanded various areas of the dresser that were either uneven. Chipped, or had peeling varnish. The hardware is brass. And I removed it before painting the entire piece. Next I painted the entire piece with 3 coats of chalk paint. The color is a grayish-white. Once the paint was dry. I then dry-brushed the piece with a brownish-purple chalk paint to make the piece look weathered and worn. The entire dresser has been coated with 3 coats of water base satin finish ... morepolyurethane to protect the finish. Water based polyurethane was used to keep the coating from yellowing. Yet give a strong layer of protection to the paint. This dresser has one shallow drawer at the top. The other draw looks like"two" drawers. But is one deep drawer. This would make an excellent bedside dresser or for use in a bathroom to hold make-up in the top drawer and towels in the lower drawer. The dresser measures: 25" high x 24" wide x 16" deep. Upcycled Vintage Shabby Romantic Chic Chalk Painted Angel Lamp Shade In Excellent Upcycled Condition! My photos do not do this piece much justice! This lamp shade was originally a cream color however over the years it had gathered quite a lot of grime and discoloration and it no longer looked attractive at all. It was brought back to life after being thoroughly cleaned and sanded lightly and kissed with Annie Sloan Antoinette Chalk Paint. I wanted to bring out more of the detailing of these angels so Annie Sloan soft dark wax was also used and finally another coat of the clear wax was applied for protection. If you wanted to remove MORE of the dark wax coloring that is on this shade. You simply can buff with any clear wax and more of the pink coloring will stand out rather than the dark wax. I did distress a few areas to give it more character ... moreand allow the cream coloring to show through. This unique six sided paneled hard plastic shade can be used on top of a lamp or can be configured to hang. The interior and exterior are both painted and waxed so it looks great from all angles. Three different angel designs are featured on this shade with the matching angel designs located across from each other on the opposite side. This shade will last for generations! This is a spectacular vintage/antique Bathroom Commode. The size of this piece is perfect for storage of towels. Supplies and toiletries. This is also great for a changing table to store diapers and onesies and all the creams and lotions that come with a babe! This has been chalk painted and then glazed for an aged look and finished with a hard protective wax for that vintage sheen. The color options on this are endless! Vintage Bronze Painted CHALK Puppy Bookends Original
This is a darling set of puppy bookends that are in the original condition. I am not sure if they are antique as far as age but I do know they are at least from the 1940's. I am selling them as they were found without repainting them. There are some words on the platforms but I could not make them out even with a rub. So. You are bidding on them as they are. It would be very easy to spray paint them if you did not want the white chalk to show.up to the individual's preference.
