Condition: Used Location: Novato, United States I am not an expert but an antique furniture appraiser looked at this piece recently and stated this is a unique desk that he's never seen one quite ... morelike it. It was likely made in the early 1900's. Made of oak. And has a spooncarved front. There are no identifying markings. It is in excellent shape and it has the original finish. Brass fittings show a bit of tarnish but should clean up easily with a little TLC. Three of the posts on the brass rail at the top are loose but can be easily secured with a little bit of attention. One of the rail ends is stripped so that will need to be secured as well. Otherwise this piece is ready for your home. I would be happy to provide more detailed photos if requested. I hate to part with such a beautiful and unique item but we no longer have the room and it just doesn't fit our decor. The dimensions are 40 1/2” tall its tallest point. 33 1/2“ wide at its widest point at the base, and 19” deep when closed,and 34“ deep when opened. Local pickup only.

Early 1900s PA Dutch Painted Desk and Hutch w/ original keys
This early built 1900's Desk and Hutch is in great shape. The dimensions are 81 1/2 tall x 39 1/2 wide x 27 deep(with door open& 18 1/2 deep with door closed) It has the original two keys in order to lock the piece(one is for the top and one for bottom. Beautiful Mahogany Governor Winthrop Desk with Bookcase Hutch
This M ahogany Winthrop Desk with Bookcase Hutch is beautiful despite over one hundred years of history with the original family. T here are areas that have evidence of this history. But this just adds to the charm, and most buyers prefer not to eliminate the original patina. The classic elements of a Governor Winthrop desk are seen in the top broken arch pediment with a flame finale. The serpentine base, the drop front which reveals the secretary units and hidden compartments, and the ball and claw feet front and rear. The muntins behind the glass have had to be removed, and were replaced with an etched-look Victorian floral design. The desk still retains the original brass Chippendale hardware.

Antique Rolltop Desk Secretary Hutch Top
Offered here is Grandpa's roll top desk from his dental office. It is well used and shows some wear. The left side of the roll top has the first few slats loose but the rest of the roll is in great shape. This is an easy fix. The locking mechanism is missing as is the key. I think but am not sure that it is made of Walnut. The hutch top is removable. Held on by two pegs, the glass doors are in tact, and it has two shelves. Washington State residents add 8.3% tax. This secretary hutch bookcase desk is beautiful reclaimed& restored elegance! Perfect shabby chic furniture for your farmhouse. Country cottage, beach house, spare room or home office. 61" tall x 30 1/4" wide x 11 1/4" deep. With front down 25-1/2" deep. Desk top is 28 1/2" wide x 25" deep x 14- 1/4" tall. We hand paint by brush so you will LOVE it! This bookcase with drop front desk top is done in French White. A pure white with hint of cream color added for a more aged white. Edges lightly distressed. It is great condition for her considerable old age. We date to around 1920 or so. Solid wood. Red Barn's refinishing is an art. and a labor of love. It includes hours and hours dedicated to each piece. Thorough quality assessment. Cleaning, making repairs/improvements, prep, paint, distress, photographing, ... morepacking and following through all the way to delivery. We only use USA made water-based, no VOC, lead-free paints. We never spray paint which, though quicker and cheaper, is far less durable and lifeless. As with all antique furniture this piece has characteristic dents and dings here& there but there are no major faults. The paint inside the drop front lid corner is a little peely. A split in the backing wood shows some day light inside the cabinet area when the lid is open. Is characteristic for age and adds some charm. Old lock is original. Sorry no key. 1900s Antique Secretary Desk Hutch 3 Drawers
You are bidding a a wonderful piece of history. This lovely Antique Secretary dates to the early 1900s. Has been recently refinished in a light gray and given an accent color in orange. Stunning details like the original glass and top drawer knobs. Bottom 2 drawer knobs have been replaced with chrome ones. This desk does NOT come with key. It also has original vaneer. Main cabinet in great condition with a couple of things to mention. Top drawer does not close. I have not played around with it and maybe if your handy you can align it. In this condition I would leave drawer a little bit open and display some vintage linens. The pull down desktop is loose because the vaneer does not hold the screws any longer. Again quick fix if you know repair. And the last detail I noticed is the top finial detail has broken off and has been reglued and is ... morenow sturdy. A note she had taped to the desk states that it’s made of oak and pine(I cannot verify this) It is painted in an off-white. Streaked technique(which Grandma regrets doing! The bottom portion of the desk measures 28 ½” W X 21” D X 30”H. The hinged writing surface opens to reveal a large compartment. The removable hutch measures 26 ½” W X 8 ¼” D X 19 ¼” H. The front of the desk and the doors and top of the hutch are carved(see picture detail) The chair is included, but may not originally have come with the desk.
