Antique Childs Desk & Chair Art Deco Ealy Century Maple 1900-1940 Secretary Desk
Here is a beautiful child's desk& chair set. Somewhere between 1900& 1940. This is a small version of the larger ones made then. Picture#8 shows some letters& words that I cannot seem to make out. Of what was probably the manufactor. It has the original stain, which has not even been attempted to re-finish. Some think that would ruin this set. Children have definitely used it, for the wear you see, but it is solid and sturdy, and has lots of wear left in it. There are three drawers on the right side, and the top one locks. you may be able to find a key for this, or ask a locksmith to make one. Above the top drawer that locks is a little slide-out board for writing on. There is a large center long drawer too. The chair swivels, and has cast iron framing, with an adjusting center screwing device which allows for the chair height ... moreto be as low to the floor as 14 inches, up to 16 inches, easily, and taller if need be, but it gets a little wabbly after that, because it is only connecting with one cylinder. At it's taller setting, the chair is 29 inches tall, from top of back to floor. The seat is 12 5/8" wide and 12 3/4" deep. This is extremely well made, and sure belongs in someone's home with a child who will enjoy and use it. The desk measure 29 inches tall, and is 33 1/2 inches wide and 18 inches deep.

Antique childs wooden desk and chair Vintage
This desk was my Dads. Then my Aunts and then passed back and forth between cousins and has been in storage for decades. It measures 33 1/2" X 14" X 21 1/2" and the chair is 26" tall. It is in great shape considering its age and has only normal wear with some crayon markings inside the drawer, the chair is more worn and has a sticker on the backrest. Beautiful Antique Childs Slant Top Folding Desk This is just a terrific find! It is an antique child desk made by the Paris Mfg Co. in Maine. It is made somewhere after the turn of the century. It is solid oak. The desk has a slant top which opens to an ample amount of storage. There is a ink mark on the inside of the top. There is a bit of staining on the inside and one of the pegs to fold this desk has been repaired by a carpenter. This desk is just wonderful! Great to fold up and stand in a corner when not in use. this is a nice cute old set. it is a childs size roll top desk with the original matching chair. it is hard to have them both together in one place. the desk is stamped on the back paris mfg co no. 641 south paris. Me, u.s.a. the whole desk is 38 in. tall and 30 in. wide and 19 in. deep. the 2 drawers are 9 in. wide and 6 in. tall and 15 1/2 in. deep. the desk also has a pull out plain board. it has a chip on one corner on the underside left. the chair is 30 in. tall, the seat is 12 x 12 in. wide and the back of the chair is 14 in. high from the seat. the drawers and the roll top have the key hole covers but i don't have a key for this desk. roll top moves up and down fine. this set just needs a good sanding and refinishing to bring it totally back. sturdy not loose. this desk is more inches then allowed to go through fedex or the post ... moreoffice. so i am offering pick up. but if you are willing to pay the feeight cost for shipping then i will ship it freight. you will have to email me before bidding for a quote on freight. any questions please ask before bidding.

For auction is a sweet little antique student school desk with a pull out drawer underneath. I was told it is probably from the early 1900's. But I'm not quite sure. It is very heavy and constructed of both wood and metal, which I believe is painted cast iron because of its weight. The metal has surface rust throughout and the top wooden part of the desk does have some movement. It appears the connecting bar underneath has snapped and will need to be soldered. But overall, this little school desk looks nice, even the way it is. The wood is still in great shape. Hard to come by one like this. Would make a nice photography prop for youngsters. It measures@24.5" high to the top of the seat(the back of chair) and the seat itself sits at@11.5" The wood tray measures@ 20" x 14" at the widest points.
