The inside of the desk also has a couple of cubby shelves. If you look below the second shelf you can see someone has cut a small hole to pass cords through. I could not find any markers markings but I am guessing from other items in the house of this estate sale it is Danish and probably from the 60's or 70’s. It is of smaller proportions making it ideal for a smaller room. The approx. measurements are: 3’ 6½” tall/ 2’ 11” across the front and is 1’ 5¼” wide. There are a couple of very small little marks or bumps but nothing major and overall it is in Very Good used condition. This Would Be A Very Stylish Addition To Any Home! I could not find any markers markings but I am guessing from other items in the house of this estate sale it is Danish and probably from the 60's or 70’s. It is of smaller proportions making it ideal for a smaller room. The approx. measurements are: 3’ 6½” tall/ 2’ 11” across the front and is 1’ 5¼” wide. It is polished on all sides which allows it to be free standing, it has 2 circular bevelled mirrors which are mounted on metal columns, these slot into brass collars on the top of the piece. Once the mirrors are removed the brass collars are ideal for running cables through for your computer or Lap top. The streamline Deco design and stunning solid teak wood(not veneer) make it remarkable! I believe this wood is teak. But it could certainly pass for back walnut.either way it is superb! I have meticulously restored this fantastic desk from top to bottom. Teak wood. Is very valuable and this desk is solid teak(except for the drawer insides)The drawer insides feature oak with dovetail joinery on both the front and back ends of the drawers. I painted the 5 drawers with black.The top drawer bottom I added the"cheetah" fabric, which is a felt backed vinyl, making for a soft surface. I think it adds artistic flair to this desk. The desk/chair are teak. Hand-carved. The carving is visible on all viewable sides. There are four(4) drawers and two(2) cabinets-all the full depth of the desk. It is easily transportable in four pieces-chair. Desk top lifts right off the two sides. Dimensions are 31 3/4"H x 50"W x 26"D. This desk& chair are in excellent condition.The chair shows minor scratches on the seat. When the desk is disassembled. Each of the sides has age-related wood cracks, which have no effect on the wear, durability or appearance of the desk. These cracks are not visible until the desk top is removed for transportation. It was a diamond in the rough, I knew it had the making for greatness The streamline Deco design and stunning solid teak wood(not veneer) make it remarkable!The side panels are solid teak which is exceptional. Usually you find the panels with a thin veneer not solid teak, this is a great high quality feature.the entire show part of desk is solid teak I have restored ... morethis fantastic desk from top to bottom The drawer insides feature oak with dovetail joinery on both the front and back ends of the drawers. I painted the 5 drawers with black.The top drawer bottom I added the"cheetah" fabric. Which is a felt backed vinyl, making for a soft surface. I think it adds artistic flair to this desk The drawers all slide like silk. Smooth& easy on the new custom solid maple runners Gorgeous original drawer pulls. I buffed to a satin sheen and sealed them with a clear finish, I left some darkened highlights in place for character I restored the finish entirely by hand. The desk had an brown opaque finish which was poorly applied and hiding the wonderful grains and textures of this teak I applied many. Many coats of hand rubbed oil varnish, the finish brings out the rich depths and textures of the wood, including some beauty marks in the grain(knots, dings, nail holes I filled and some chips in the wood panels on the lower edges of the kneehole area) When you rub your hands over the wood.
