T he desk top is wood and lifts open to store paper and supplies perfectly. Cle an inside- compartment measures 3" deep. Both the seat and the desktop operate as they should. Desktop measures 20 1/4" x 14" This desk measures 25 1/2" tall from back of chair to floor. I think the height on the seat and desk can be adjusted. From back to front this desk measures 26" long. Cracks, breaks or repairs in either. The cast iron metal casting is beautiful. The curved portion of the seat where you sit folds up and down like a charm. Cast on both sides is PL4. Note that all the flared casting are perfect for floor mounting. No breaks or chips in any of the feet. It has the place for the ink well. There is wear on the desktop. Antique Wooden School Desk Chair& Cast Iron Pedestal Adjustable Base Completely restored from bottom up. Chair has been hand sanded down to the bare wood. All rough edges removed. Stained and clear coated. The cast iron base has been disassembled. And completely sanded to bare metal. Primer then painted in a really nice satin black. Then clear coated. Same has been done for the brackets that hold the slats and seat. The chair stands a total of 32" high. The back of the seat is 16" wide. The seat is 14"deep X 16"wide. The height of the seat is adjustable with the turn of a bolt. It ranges about 13" to 17" Chair partially disassembled for the base for more economical shipping.

Antique victorian fold up/away stool from a train or trolley. The base gets screwed into the floor. And when it is not needed the stool can be folded up and the seat would be outta the way. The base of the stool is made of cast iron and the seat is made of oak. The stool is about 25 1/2 inches tall. It is marked on the bottom of the plate that gets screwed down"chgo. Hdw. Fdry.
