This Carlton House ladies writing desk has a distinctive Federal style design. The 1950s mahogany desk was built in NC during the cross licensing venture of the two fine furniture lines of Heritage and Hendredon. The desk has a gold embossed leather top. There are a total of five drawers. Two small drawers are above the desktop. Plus two small drawers on either side of a large drawer below the desktop. A brass rail forms a“U” shape that runs from one drawer to the other and along the back of the desk.
