Oak shelves are double plate grooved. Key is missing to lock. And the picture shows what appears to be an imperfection in the first layer of the plywood back. Also there are some minor dings. A gorgeous 1906 Oak Roll Top Queen or Boudoir Desk. Has been used last 30 years to enhance a room. Not as working desk. An oak swivel desk chair, circa early 1900's comes with desk. One of a kind. Very good condition woman's writing desk from Mexico, circa 1900. This one of a kind piece has no screws or glue, and fits like a puzzle! This desk was brought to the United States circa 1970 from Durango, Mexico by my Grandmother. She in turn received it from her piano teacher years before! This is an Unsigned original Arts and Crafts beautiful 1/4 sawn oak desk that is believed to be an unsigned Stickley piece. Either L&G or Gustav. The desk is in beautiful condition with normal wear of early 1900's desk. The only wear on this piece is in the top left desk drawer where it appears that a ink well spilt and stained inside the drawer, showing also the age of the piece of furniture. No symbol or signature could be found. However there is a picture of a hand written name on the under belly of the desk. Secretary Desk circa 1900 with Gallery. Mirror& Marquetry. This absolute jewel of a secretary desk was beautifully crafted about 1900 with inlaid marquetry of precious woods and mother of pearl. Original bronze pulls. The shaped and beveled mirror plus columns with Corinthian capitals are exquisite on this American made furniture. Fine detailing and the concave front are delightful. The rich deep finish is in extremely fine condition on curly birch with a mahogany stain and a few shrinkage separations from age for antique character. Interiors are genuine birdseye or curly maple. The drop front lock doesn't work well. So the key is just a handle to open. Measurements of this historic desk are 27" wide. 19" deep, 66" tall and the desktop is 27" high when open. Antique Secretary Desk/bookcase Liberty Co Ltd. Circa 1900
Up for sale is an antique Secretary/bookcase made by Liberty Co. Ltd of the U.K. All appears original with a possible exception of the hinges on the drop-down desk. The drawer pulls are hammered copper. Overall it is 36 inches wide. And about 51 1/2 inches tall. The secretary desk area is about 26 1/4 inches wide. The fold down desk supports are 10 inches in length and the drawer is about 21 by 13 inches. The name plate for Liberty Co Ltd is on the inside of the drawer at the front. I have no keys for the locks. This was made about 1900 and the style is late nouveau or early arts and crafts. All is in excellent condition. Please view the pictues. Vintage Bolt Down Wood Wrought Iron School Desk and Bench Circa Early Mid 1900's
Made in Buffalo. New York. Vintage school desk. I can't confirm the manufacture date. The latest patent date marked on it is 1898, but I can only confirm that it was recovered in the early 1950's by a Portland, Oregon firefighter before his team burned a decrepit school house down for training. It's worn and has markings from students past. Including hearts and initials. There is a chunk of the shelf under the desktop broken off, shown clearly in the pictures. The desk itself is two-tone wood and the frame is wrought iron. MEASUREMENTS: The desk top is 28" high by 24" wide by 16" deep. The seat is 15" high by 24" wide by 13" deep. The seat back is 16" high by 24" wide and stands 31" tall off the ground. If the seat is folded up the desk measures 26" wide side to side.
