This secretary hutch bookcase desk is beautiful reclaimed& restored elegance! Perfect shabby chic furniture for your farmhouse. Country cottage, beach house, spare room or home office. 61" tall x 30 1/4" wide x 11 1/4" deep. With front down 25-1/2" deep. Desk top is 28 1/2" wide x 25" deep x 14- 1/4" tall. We hand paint by brush so you will LOVE it! This bookcase with drop front desk top is done in French White. A pure white with hint of cream color added for a more aged white. Edges lightly distressed. It is great condition for her considerable old age. We date to around 1920 or so. Solid wood. Red Barn's refinishing is an art. and a labor of love. Up for sale is an antique Secretary/bookcase made by Liberty Co. Ltd of the U.K. All appears original with a possible exception of the hinges on the drop-down desk. The drawer pulls are hammered copper. Overall it is 36 inches wide. And about 51 1/2 inches tall. The secretary desk area is about 26 1/4 inches wide. The fold down desk supports are 10 inches in length and the drawer is about 21 by 13 inches. The name plate for Liberty Co Ltd is on the inside of the drawer at the front. I have no keys for the locks. This was made about 1900 and the style is late nouveau or early arts and crafts. All is in excellent condition. Please view the pictues. At top center, in other words a taller cabinet than most other ones found. This is 40" wide, 14" front to back. The lattice china cabinet china door is 17 3/4" wide, 13" tall. The beveled glass mirror is 15 1/2" wide, 17 3/4" tall. The shelf above the china cabinet for setting items of choice is 21" wide, 9 1/2" front to back. The routered carved drop front secretary lid is 17 3/4" wide, and 15" front to back. When you find these secretary the interior cubby hole drawers are usually missing or just have one. THIS ONE HAS 2! They are 8" wide, 16 1/2" front to back and 2" deep. This has 3 bowed out drawers with the original brass pulls. This lovely desk with bookcase above and drawers below was recently imported from the UK through Edinburgh. Scotland and is constructed of beautiful quartersawn oak, really nice metal pulls and leaded glass doors protecting the bookcase. This delightful piece stands 72 inches tall and measures 31 inches wide by 18 inches deep. Front to back. It travels safely in two pieces, the top 27 3/4 inches wide by 7 3/4 inches deep front to back and 32 1/2 inches tall. The dimensions within the top cabinet are 31 inches tall by 27 1/2 inches wide by 6 inches front to back and has two adjustable shelves as well as the base of the cabinet to serve as three shelves within the cabinet. This is a beautiful antique drop front desk. It is made in the Larkin style. I have not seen any marks that indicate a maker. The piece is dark wood and may be either mahogany or cherry. I am not a wood expert. There is a mirror and two candle holder/sconce shelves for detail, there are also shelves for books. The piece has some wear and tear on the wood, see pics, but nothing huge. It needs a good cleaning! There is no lock detail on the front and no locking mechanism. The last picture shows a brass detail piece that can be added if you like. It will be included with the item.
