Please see pic's! It measures over all 24 3/4" tall X 24 3/4" deep X 18" across the desk and the seat is 12 1/2" off the floor. This could be used for a child, or in your garden with a plant on it. Structurally sound and the desk top can be raised or lowered. I consider my photos to be part of the description and recommend using the zoom feature or double clicking on photos to enlarge them for optimal viewing. I have NOT cleaned this. I'll leave that to the new owner. We have removed the desktop(with an allen wrench, easy! for cheaper shipping! For auction is this small vintage or antique child's desk and chair. It has adjustable Heywood Eclipse Industrial legs. The chair with curved sides and spindles sits on a round base and is adjustable as well. It will look great in any living area. It needs very little space. The top measures 21 x 13" It has a cubby for supplies and a hole on top for an inkwell or cup. When pushed in. It protrudes only 16" from the wall. This chair is in unrestored condition which I personally prefer but it will look great restored also. It is all original with the exception of two of the 8 flat head screws that fasten the legs to the top. They have been replaced with two of the same size and type screws only newer. It is surprisingly a very sturdy desk and chair given its age. The base and legs are rusty and I have not tried to clean them. The ... morelegs and base all have holes so they can be fastened to a base or floor if desired. It is 21 inches tall at the moment. I have not tried adjusting the legs. Up for auction is a vintage child's school desk and chair in good condition. The desk has adjustable legs and the chair adjusts and swivels 90 degrees. The desk adjusts from 23" to 19 1/4" and the seat is from 14" to 11" The desk top measures 20 1/2" x 14 1/4" The seat is 13 3/4" x 10 3/4" across, the back rest measures 14 1/4" high. It is painted green, there is some wear, some minor surface rust and the wood could use a refinishing. The patent date is July 28, 1925 and is on the last photo. Thank you for looking. Antique - arts & crafts - cast-iron & oak - school desk & chair combo
A lovely example of a by gone era. This may in fact be late 19th century. But I strongly suspect it's very early 20th century. It's cast-iron and Oak. Quite heavy for it's size. As seen in the photos, Lettering appears as"Eclipse" 5" twice per side& Cleveland" The seat and desk heights are fully adjustable by a range of about 6 1/2" It must have been touched up or restored at some point with flat black paint, because it has no sign of being adjusted. Other marking in a circle: T Kundtz Cleave O" and further numbers"5& 6 LB" The desktop is about 19-1/2" x 12" for scale. The height of the highest point of the desktop, as it is shown, is about 24" It's quite a nice piece for an early collector. Just that glue line is the only really flaw. The cast-iron shape and super ... moretight old grown grain of the Oak is just not seen or available any more. This matches any arts& crafts era(1890's- 1930's) home perfectly.
