This antique Chippendale desk is walnut with a uniquely wine-red toned leather top in good condition with gold leaf border. It is extensively carved and underneath the table there is also a lot of carved detail. The faux drawers in the back match the front and the sides are in very good condition. Making this desk beautiful in the middle of a room. It's easy to move around, because it is on brass wheels and just about any lamp looks good on it. Massive Georgian style partner's desk coming directly from a local four million dollar estate where it was used in a huge study. I believe this desk had been purchased many years ago from ABC Carpet in New York City. This is a true partner's desk with functioning drawers on both sides. Large enough for two people to work comfortably. Made from mahogany with a green leather and gilt tooled writing surface. One side features two hanging file drawers while the other has nine small drawers. Includes two keys which operate all of the drawer locks. No maker's marks. Locks are marked Secure Lever. Hi, This is a beautiful antique desk. It was handed down to me by friend who's grandfather had past away. it does need a little work its missing a knob for the drawer. But all the drawers lock with the original key. which is pretty cool. it is solid oak wood no veneer. Genuine leather top still in pretty good condition. What a beautiful find here I seen a desk just like this go for a $750. I am letting this go for as little as $100 this must be picked up in Roseville. OH 43777 however, I can work with you on the hour and day that you would like to pick up. This has several drawers they are dovetailed and each drawer is intact. it's a sturdy beautiful desk. There are minor scratches which can be polished out the middle drawer is missing it's knobs which is also an easy fix and there is an ink spot in the drawer I'm only being detailed. It is a true partners desk with drawers and a cabinet on each side. The unique brass corners and inset brass handles are what give this desk its campaign appearance. ... moreCampaign furniture was originally used by officers in the military and was fashioned to be broken down and moved easily from base camp to base camp as the officer progressed. The style has become more popular as time has gone by. While having been made around 1940. This partners desk was probably not used by the military, but was made in that style. Both sides are identical and consist of a large cabinet in the left pedestal and a bank of regular drawers in the right. The middle drawers have locks but no key remains. The top is a lovely black leather that appears new. This leather has a lovely gold tooling around the outside. Leather makes a fabulous writing and work surface and has an incredibly handsome look. Mahogany is the wood used to construct the desk and it has a lovely grain and color. This antique campaign desk does separate into the top and two pedestals for easier moving.
