This is a beautiful and useable desk and chair from Stickley. It's been in our family for years and cared for with love. Gorgeous color(photo is terrible) and wood grain; quarter sewn oak and fine details like dovetailing.Wood nails/pegs, etc. Original everything to the best of our knowledge. Wisconsin about 1905, this Arts and Crafts or Mission Oak period desk marked"Pat. 1905" has fascinating features. On the left is a shallow drawer with a tin bottom for metal type. Below is a file drawer with a front that tilts open and the adjustable pusher tilts back for easy access. Six shallow drawers were made for large wooden type and advertizing logos. At the bottom right are two 3x5 card file drawers with pushers. Deep drawers glide smoothly and have dovetailed joints. Brass feet protected the legs when floors were mopped. We are pleased to offer this antique desk. This is a beautiful old desk dating to the early half of the 20th century. The desk is made of solid oak in the Mission. Arts& Crafts style. It is"Stickley" styled with a clean, simple design. The desk top is compromised of 2 planks which provide a generous work space. It has a single center drawer for pens, pencils, etc. Each side features two, open shelves for paper/file storage. The legs are simple and slightly supercede the height of the table top. The desk has wooden buttons which cover the screws/nails. It is in very good antique condition. There is a very slight bow on the top which is neither severe or distracting. There are some minor nicks and dings from use, but again, nothing too obvious or distracting. There is one screw cover that is missing on the back of the desk(see ... morephoto 10) The desk is sturdy and the screws can be tightened if they loosen. You are bidding on a RARE Antique STICKLEY Style Arts& Crafts Oak Glass Display Desk made in Grand Rapids. Michigan by the Grand Rapids Manufacturing Association(GRM) probably between 1900 and 1910. One corner block broken and one desk slide is missing(see pictures) Both seem like easy repairs. Also, 2 drawers inside the desk are missing(see pictures) The entire piece breaks down in the parts for easy moving and storage. WOULD BE A GREAT PIECE AS A DISPLAY CABINET FOR A HOME OR BUSINESS.

A lovely example of a by gone era. This may in fact be late 19th century. But I strongly suspect it's very early 20th century. It's cast-iron and Oak. Quite heavy for it's size. As seen in the photos, Lettering appears as"Eclipse" 5" twice per side& Cleveland" The seat and desk heights are fully adjustable by a range of about 6 1/2" It must have been touched up or restored at some point with flat black paint, because it has no sign of being adjusted. Other marking in a circle: T Kundtz Cleave O" and further numbers"5& 6 LB" The desktop is about 19-1/2" x 12" for scale. The height of the highest point of the desktop, as it is shown, is about 24" It's quite a nice piece for an early collector. Just that glue line is the only really flaw. The first is a huge wooden drafting table or desk with a slightly slanted front and pen slot(the top does not lift but is slightly sloped) The desk measures approximately 72" or 6' across. 38 1/2" high and 33 1/3" deep and comes in two pieces which are pegged together. The desk has three large functioning drawers across the front, each with a key hole(and no, I don't have the keys) It is in nice condition with great patina, though the top has some staining. This antique writing desk was manufactured by the Cadillac Cabinet Company in Detroit sometime between 1906 and 1908. It is made of white oak and features a pull-out drawer with a writing surface on top and storage beneath. It has seen some use. There a few scratched spots and other marks on the top and legs(see photos) but is a really nice serviceable piece of furniture. I've made no attempt to restore it. The top measures 22" x 30" and it is 29-1/4" tall. The manufacturer's label on the underside of the writing surface identifies it as a Cadillac"Desk-Table" and lists four patent dates from 1906 through 1908.
