It has a China export stamp in red on the base- such stamps were common on all pieces intended for export from around 1891-1915. They are decorated with a black and orange yellow transfer printed Boar hunt scene. They measures roughly 4 1/8" tall x 2 3/4" wide at their widest. The base diameter is 2 1/4" The condition of both pieces is very good. One has a small chip on the underside of the baser rim(see5th image) The other has a bruise on the underside of the base rim. Rare Large Hand Painted Satsuma Vase Signed Birds & Flowers 12"high 7"wide
This is an auction for a vase I found at an estate sale. I searched the internet and ebay and could not find anything this shape. As you can see on the bottom it says"Hand Painted Satsuma VJCKC.SATSUMA" it is signed M or W. No one could tell me anything about it. I have no idea how old it is. There is a lot of crazing which I noticed is similar to the other vases for sale. There was another vase same shape and same flowers inside the top but had a different painted scene. I can probably pick it up if there is any interest in this one. It is 12" tall and 7" wide at the top of vase and weighs 2 pounds 9 ounces.

Leonard Vienna Austria hand painted yellow rose gold gilt 6" hair receiver 1908
I have for auction this evening a stunning piece of porcelain by P.H. Leonard from Vienna Austria. This stuning piece as the most unusual and totally unique mold shape that I have ever come across with its four thickly gold gilt corners flairing out from the sides and its uniquely molded scrolled body shape. The piece is made of fine porcelain and completely hand painted with dainty yellow roses in sprays with foliage around the roses and as filler for the remaining spaces on the piece. The blown out mold is gilded to highlight its features and the piece is heavily gilded on the four corners and the trim elements. This is a stuning piece and will make great addition to your collection. Item dimensions and dating. All measurements are approximate. This piece measures 6.25" at its broadest point with a center diameter of around 5" ... moreand the piece stands close to 2" tall to the corner. This piece dates from the early twentieth century by the mark and design elements. Condition report: This piece is in excellent antique condition with no chips. Cracks or crazing. There are a couple of nicks off the inner rim of the base but nothing that can be seen with the cover in place. The colors are as fresh and vibrant as the day the piece was first painted. and the gold gilt appears to be fully intact. The ornate and odly shaped cover does not sit perfectly on the piece but with the way it is shaped I cannot imagine how it could. Buyers note: The display stand is not part of this auction. Weyman's Snuff Jar. This snuff jar is just a little over 9 inches high and about 6 inches in diameter. This was purchased at an estate auction so I do not know if tin lid is original to jar. Only flaws are small chips around opening of jar. This jar has no cracks and overall is in very good condition. The mark on bottom of jar seems to be a normal mark from the jar being made. This listing is for a MINTON Rose condiment jar or pot which could be used as a jam. Jelly jar or mustard pot. The piece has the older Globe Backstamp. This is pattern#A4807, ROSE with floral swags, which has been in existence since 1867. In addition to the"Crown over Globe" marking, the piece has the"S& C GUMP" stamp from the prestigious store in San Francisco. It is an early store mark encircling the California Bear state emblem. Included is a sterling silver spoon applicable to mustard or jam. It weighs 17 grams and measures 5-5/8 inches in length. It is marked"STERLING" There are no other marks. The condiment set sits 4 inches from the bottom of the saucer to the top of the finial. The pot itself sits 2- 3/4 inches tall. With a mouth diameter with rim of 3- 1/2 inches. The top of the body is decorated with lovely reticulated flowers. The cover is decorated with floral designs and a figural finial. It is signed on the bottom and dates from the Meiji period. It measures approximately 9 + 3/8 inches in overall height and 7 inches across the handles. For your consideration is a Porcelain Dresser/Powder Box with Lid and a matching Hair Receiver. The Powder Box is marked Olivia Bavaria but the Hair Receiver is not. They are decorated with Lily of the Valley and green leaves and measure approx. 4 1/2" round and 2 1/2" high. The color I would call a very pale lavender with white flowers and green leaves. Their condition is very good with no cracks or chips. There are marks where the lids rest on the bottoms that I would say is consistent with years of usage. Up for bid is an Amazing and Beautiful Antique Porcelain Cookie Jar or Lidded Dish. This lovely piece is embossed on the sides and lid. It has gold trim around the edges and a white with orange and purple flowers design on the sides. This is unmarked. But looks a lot like Dresden. It does have a number'267' handpainted in gold on the bottom. It is approx. 7.5 in tall by 5.5 in wide. It is in good condition with a couple of tiny nicks to the rim of the lid and a small shallow chip on the rim of the bottom piece. There is also slight overall finish wear to the paint and gold trim. UM Antique Ornate Cracker Jar Biscuit Barrel Cobalt Gold Roses Nippon? Limoges?
We have been on a buying trip and we are listing new items as quickly as we can. We will be listing them daily as time permits. Th ese pieces are nice. You won't be disappointed. We are always happy to co mbine items. When possible, so buyers can save on the shipping costs. This is a cracker jar. Or biscuit barrel. Basically. It's what a cookie jar was before we had supersized meals. Don't think chocolate chip cook ies bigger than a dinner plate; think animal crackers. Usually we tell you who made an item(Nippon. Limoges, Austria, RS Prussia) But, this time, we just can't tell you exactly who made it. The painting looks like Nippon, and we can find tons of items painted like this in our Nippon books. Likewise, Limoges& Austrian items can be found with this shape, the"plume-looking" blown-out bottom and area around ... morethe lid. We have seen cups and chocolate pots with this design. Since Japanese potters of the Nippon era were trained in the European style and imitated the work of Limoges, RS Prussia/Austria and German pieces, this is just a stab in the dark for us.but we think lots of you collectors will know! The crac ker jar is white. And as mentioned above. The lower area of the jar has a blown out plume or acanthus leaf design. This design is repeated around the inner part of the lid. The handle on the lid, the rim areas of both the lid and jar have an irregular cobalt area. There are handpainted pink and purple roses with green foliage painted near the cobalt areas. The"plume-like" areas have smaller pink and purple flowers. There is gold! Oh yes, if you are one of our regular buyers, you know we love gold! Gold flourishes are painted over the cobalt areas. Gold outlines the leaves/plumes and outlines the areas where the blownout part of the mold begins. There are also gold flourishes in the white area of the jar. This thing is gorgeous! VIntage All Bumpy Gold Footed Cracker/Buiscut Jar - Circa 1920's- 6" Tall
This I was told was a cracker or buiscut jar and it is circa 1922. I don't know the maker but the bottom marking in the center looks like it says 24 kt. It is what I call a bumpby gold finish all aroun. It is footed and has a finial top. It meaures 6" tall and is 3 3/4" across the opening at the top. The inside of the jar and the lid look like a paste like heavier china. It displays beautifully and there is only minor wear in a few spots of the gold decorating.
