Antique Stoneware Syrup BENNETT'S Jan 23. 1873 PATENT TANKARD w Blue Heron NR! Description. Here is a SWEET one for you! A tall syrup in a slim tankard ... moreform with gorgeous conical lid in stoneware. It has Aged extremley well. Near Museum quality in our opinion and look at the shape. Slight underglaze darkening but glaze beautiful. gorgeous loop hangle with thumbrest. Lid immaculate. Hinge immaculate. Original gold lines on rails bordering collar almost completely cleaned off but an easy restoration. Magnificent the way it is. There seems to be the slightest rub of the lid on the backside shoulder edge and a nick. Perhaps but otherwise, near museum quality to me. The glaze on the top edge of the tankard looks poured on. Image 12 shows the depth of the glaze and crackling depth. Polychromic Hand colored transfer of a stylized water bird resembling a Great Blue Heron wading in flowered wetlands decorating each side of syrup body has great color and is in beautiful condition. Interesting thumb lever appears to be styled or formed as the back of a book and is serrated in a chevron on the thumb side for a sure grip while pouring. Stands 6 1/2" to the top edge of the slim tankard. And 8" to the finial on beautiful conical lid. Handsome slim tankard form with beautiful classic loop handle with great thumbrest. You will not find many of these around in this condition. Stamped"BENNETT'S/ JAN 23. 1873/ PATENT" I would be interested in the patented feature or innovation represented by that patent. Magnificent slim tapering form. Great loop handle, outstanding lid and outstanding condition make this one you will REALLY LIKE. We cleaned the exterior. Inside is very clean. I doubt that any syrup was ever in this great piece. We see no evidence of it inside. And Now. The"fine print" We are not experts in any field. And not doll experts. Please bid according to what YOU believe the item to be, and not on what OUR OPINION of the item is, as our descriptions are what WE BELIEVE the Item to be. I

Beautiful cobalt decorated stoneware crock. It has fabulous decoration which looks like leaves on a vine. It also looks like hearts. It is marked on the ... morefront and I believe it to say West Troy Pottery. It measures 7.5 tall and 8 inches across the top. It has a couple of OLD chips on the front and a couple of very small flea bites on one ear. There is also a tight crack on one side. There are lots pf pictures. None of this distracts from the appearance. This stoneware crock is not in mint condition so if you are wanting mint please don't bid. This is an old utilitarian piece and used as such. All sales are final. Insurance is included in my shipping charge. If it seems high. Please don't bid. I have this packed professionally and shipped ups so it gets there in one piece. Antique Stoneware Brownware Flower Pot Planter Attached Saucer American Pottery
Up for auction is an antique stoneware fluted flower pot with attached saucer recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia PA area. It is found in good used condition. The clay is a darker brown. Almost a cross between stoneware& redware. The pot is glazed with an Albany Glaze with the saucer and bottom unglazed. There is a stone ping on the outside exterior of the pot, best seen in photo 6, these usually occurred in the kiln and does not affect the overall durability of the piece. There is some staining in the interior consistent with planter use but not bad condition. The bottom and saucer unglazed appearance is more indicative of vintage vs antique. The opening diameter is approx 5" with an overall of 6.5" with a base of 5.5" and approx 5 7/8" tall. Nice addition for any country setting, indoors or out. ... moreBest of luck in bidding. Antique Stoneware 1/2 Gallon Hand Turned Crock Preserve Jar with Handle
For your consideration is a hand turned stoneware preserve jar. The capacity is slightly more than 1/2 of a gallon. There are 0 cracks, however on the rim is a very minor blemish; I cannot decide whether this minor blemish is a chip or a glaze skip. I assume that a lid should sit on the inner rim, but I have 0 lid. Please examine the pictures carefully, as the pictures are part of the description.
