Offered is a rare and hard to find hand painted antique lidded lady's cosmetic lip baume pomade cream jar made by the French Limoges company of William Guerin between 1900-1932. Hand painted with pink flowers and green leaves on a blue and yellow background. It measures just over 1.5 inches tall and about 1.5 inches wide. It is in excellent condition with the only thing I can see is a small flea bite on the inside of the lid rim which does not show on the outside. Offered for your collecting pleasure is this very sweet hand painted French faience two handled condiment pot. This will go with many of your east of France faience items as this lovely pot has the same kind of colors and flowers as were made by the factories such as Luneville. St. Clement and Strasbourg. The handles are in great condition. The lid has a button handle or fineal. It measures 3 inches tall with lid and about 4 inches wide from handle to handle. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. It has 3 stilt marks on the bottom and one on the back next to the handle which is from being fired in the kiln and some light wear on the bottom from use and age which is normal. 2 Antique French Porcelain Tea Caddy Jar HP Crossed Feather Arrow Jean Petit ?
2 beautiful antique. Matching, hand painted porcelain jars or tea caddies. Marked. Made in France Hand Painted in red script, but worn. Also marked with the 2 crossed arrows or feathers or wheat stalks. There are a number of porcelain makers that use those marks in several countries. There are at least 3 different companies in France that use them as well. The mention of the country of origin in backstamps indicates that these pieces were made after 1891. Dimensions: 4" tall to the rim. 5" long, 2" wide. The opening ins 1.75" diameter. Condition: Excellent. No chips or cracks or hairlines. There is notable image loss where the lid sits that is visible when the lid is removed. I think this is expected with this type of piece. The underside is pretty dirty. This is also pretty normal for unglazed porcelain.

I purchased this from an estate auction and found myself caught up in a bidding war. I had to have it" type of of thing. I did not know what I was buying except that i loved it for my french decor. And shows the usual"glaze crazing" for these old pieces. This fabulous old salt-glazed stoneware confit pot(circa 1930s) comes from BETSCHDORF(6th picture) in Alsace(near Strasbourg) From the lightly pebbled grey background to the cobalt blue artwork. Everything about this charming piece speaks volumes about the craftsmanship and knowledge that has been going on into salt-glazed pottery produced in the region since the early 1700s. Betschdorf’technique: while it is baking in the oven at about 2.200 degrees Fahrenheit, salt is added to the oven for the glaze. This makes the pottery very durable. And because it is durable, it is(or was) often used to store things like sauerkraut and spirits. Before plastic took over. The salt-glazed pottery was even used to make pipes for plumbing. However, it is a delicately painted porcelain jar or canister with ormolu mounts. It is pre-1850. There are two floral sprays painted within two cartouche and small flowers painted in small cartouche around the upper part near the opening. This gorgeous handpainted jar is in marvelous condition. There is crazing on the inside and bottom. The lid and exterior are beautifully handpainted with roses. Leaves, and gilt. I believe it is very old. The only mark I could find that matches the crown exactly was for Clignancourt, France, Est. 1771. But this crown has a star under it, not a letter. You are bidding on a cute little antique FR EN CH pharmacy ointment pot. It shows the usual glaze crazing for these old pieces. Great little under-glaze transfer with the image of the guy who originally compounded the mixture. Together with all kinds of information and print, including awards at various World Fair's etc which is advertised on the pot! The pot stands about 2 1/2" in height and is in good condition. Antique unique Sevres celeste blue mug with hand painted portrait of the probably French Queen Marie Leszczynska wife of the Louis XV. The opposite site is decorated with hand painted flowers surrounded by gilded scrolls( minimal wear to the gilt) Great condition. No chips, no hairlines. Size almost 3" tall. 3" in diameter. But I am told that the name on this pot is" Queen of Creams" and must have contained a cosmetic preparation of sorts. The pot has it's original lid. Which are generally difficult to find, is quite small in size standing just 2 3/4" when the lid is in place on the jar. This auction is for an antique pottery French mustard jar. It is marked on the front and back as shown and measures 3 3/4" tall. There is some discoloration around the top and bottom of the jar.
