It has a shiny brown glaze inside and out. It is about 10 inches tall. And 6 1/2 inches across the widest part. There are some flake chips on the inside of the inner top rim. And some chips along the bottom edge. See photos. This would be nice for display in your vintage kitchen. Or use for a silk or dried flower arrangement. BRAND OR MARK: Unmarked. SIZE: It is about 10 inches tall. And 6 1/2 inches across the widest part. The top is about 4 3/8 inches overall, with an opening of 3 inches. For sale is a Antique Primitive North Carolina Albany Slip Wax Sealer Jar or Crock circa 1900. The jar is 5.75" tall and about 4.5" in diameter at the shoulder. the jar is in good antique condition with a few tiny chips around the lip(see photo#5& 6) and normal glaze slips. These jars were still in use around the turn of the last(20th) century because glass jars were still quite expensive. They were also hard to come by in the mountains of North Carolina. ANTIQUE EXTREMELY OLD 18th-19th C PRIMITIVE HANDMADE GREEK OLIVE OIL JAR URN
This is a one of a kind. Unique, handmade and extremely old antique Greek olive oil jar or urn. It was brought back from Greece in the 1950's by a relative. It is definitely at least early 19th century but I think it could be much older. It shows much signs of wear at the bottom and possibly buried at some point. There are a few chips to the top rim but all expected for its age and gives it much character. Size is 14" tall and 10" across handle to handle. I guarantee that this is not any kind of reproduction. Antique Redware Ovoid Storage Jar Rolled Lip Crock Primitive American Pottery
Up for auction is an antique manganese glazed red ware pottery folk art storage jar recently found at auction in the suburban PHiladelphia PA area. It is found in good used condition but has several chips(photos 3& 4) along the lip but is free of cracks. This redware jar is covered with a manganese glaze prior to firing giving it a great brown glaze. There are finger marks at the base from being dipped in the manganese. Bedt seen in photo 7. The top is rolled and flared and approx 4" with a base diameter of approx 4.5" The piece measures approx 8.5" tall. The top was probably secured with a cork in its day. PRIMITIVE ANTIQUE 19TH CENTURY MINIATURE EARTHENWARE UNGLAZED STONEWARE JAR
This tiny. Miniature earthenware unglazed stoneware jar is antique 19th century. Jars of this size could have been used for many purposes, including medicine, spices, etc. The tiny cork may or may not be original, but it fits perfectly. The jar measures 2" high x 1 1/2" wide at the widest point. With a 1" diameter base. The clay is the color of redware; the unglazed finish is a nice warm brown. It is in good condition overall, with no major chips or cracks. There is some wear to the base, as expected for its age. It's just a neat little stoneware jar, with a pleasing form and a nice patina.
