This hair receiver is has a piece of surgical tape underneath m arked 1912. There may be a makers mark under that but I don't want to remove it. Great condition with no cracks or repairs. there are a couple of tiny dots of paint loss. White background with s hades of bright pink flowers and greenery. Leonard Vienna Austria hand painted yellow rose gold gilt 6" hair receiver 1908
I have for auction this evening a stunning piece of porcelain by P.H. Leonard from Vienna Austria. This stuning piece as the most unusual and totally unique mold shape that I have ever come across with its four thickly gold gilt corners flairing out from the sides and its uniquely molded scrolled body shape. The piece is made of fine porcelain and completely hand painted with dainty yellow roses in sprays with foliage around the roses and as filler for the remaining spaces on the piece. The blown out mold is gilded to highlight its features and the piece is heavily gilded on the four corners and the trim elements. This is a stuning piece and will make great addition to your collection. Item dimensions and dating. All measurements are approximate. This piece measures 6.25" at its broadest point with a center diameter of around 5" ... moreand the piece stands close to 2" tall to the corner. This piece dates from the early twentieth century by the mark and design elements. Condition report: This piece is in excellent antique condition with no chips. Cracks or crazing. There are a couple of nicks off the inner rim of the base but nothing that can be seen with the cover in place. The colors are as fresh and vibrant as the day the piece was first painted. and the gold gilt appears to be fully intact. The ornate and odly shaped cover does not sit perfectly on the piece but with the way it is shaped I cannot imagine how it could. Buyers note: The display stand is not part of this auction. Vintage Antique Handpainted Olivia Bavaria Porcelain Powder Box Hair Receiver
For your consideration is a Porcelain Dresser/Powder Box with Lid and a matching Hair Receiver. The Powder Box is marked Olivia Bavaria but the Hair Receiver is not. They are decorated with Lily of the Valley and green leaves and measure approx. 4 1/2" round and 2 1/2" high. The color I would call a very pale lavender with white flowers and green leaves. Their condition is very good with no cracks or chips. There are marks where the lids rest on the bottoms that I would say is consistent with years of usage. I have for you this evening a very delicate and elegant dresser set consisting of a covered powder jar and hair receiver made at the factories of La Porcelain Limousine in the early twentieth century. This set is made of extra fine porcelain and is cast into classic mold shapes. The outer bodies are glazed in a matte or buff pink finish and the rims of the covers have been left white and gilded with a deco style design. This set is just beautiful and will make a lovely addition to your cabinet and dresser top. Item dimensions and dating: All measurements are approximate. Each piece measures 3.75" at their widest points and the hair receiever stands 2.5" tall with the powder standing 3" tall to top of finial with cover in place. This is an antique/vintage. Porcelain hair receiver with blue Forget-Me Not flowers on the cover. It may be hand-painted) It measures 2 1/2" across the footed bottom; has a 4 1/4" diameter across the open bowl; the lid diameter measures 3 7/8" and the height is 2 1/2" The bowl sides are scalloped and edged in gold. One manufacturer indent flaw is shown in photo with pen. The footed base is rough but I couldn't detect any visible chips. No other visible chips, cracks or fissures but some of the gold edge paint has worn away. The bottom is marked with the green logo"Z.S. Co. Bavaria" which dates this piece to 1880-1918. Beautiful! Hand painted moriage hair receiver, pastel floral, gold gilt, Japan, hallmarked
Offered today is this lovely pastel floral hair receiver. Hand painted, made in Japan. wine and pink colored cabbage roses surrounded by lavender buds and green leaves. So delicate and feminine! The raised moriage gold gilt scrolls and beading accent this piece so nicely. Minimal gold loss- see pictures to assess. Please note there are two small flakes or nicks on the inner rim edge of the base. Also shown in picture# 9 is a tiny dark spot with a thin line under the glaze. It measures 5 inches across and is 2 1/2 inches tall. Cannot be felt, I don't think it is a crack but something within the composition. Offered for your collecting pleasure is this beautiful set of antique Limoges powder jar and hair receiver made by the William Guerin porcelain company in Limoges. France. The William Guerin white ware mark in green dates this pieces to have been made between 1891 and was hand painted in 1896. The powder jar lid has a nice scalloped edge in gold and has lovely hand painted purple violets and green leaves on both the lid and the body of the jar. I especially love the double scrolled handles on the lid. The two piece hair receiver features hand painted violets and green leaves and gold scroll work on the lid and gold on a light yellow background on the bottom half. Offering an antique Victorian PORCELAIN Hair Receiver c.1880s Carl Schlegelmilch CS Prussia. The hallmark is from the Carl Schlegelmilch factory. Prussia Germany. According to Mary Frank Gaston, the C.S. Prussia Suhl factory was only in business under Carl's ownership from 1882-1912. The mark you see on these is from that time period. The lack of many examples with this mark(CS Clover mark) indicates that little was exported to the United States. Six sided/ hexagon in shape. Measures approx. 3 1/2" wide outside lip to outside lip x 2 1/2" tall(with lid on) Nicely done in a soft pastel colors of pinks and greens and trimmed in gold ... morepattern. Overall great vintage condition. Normal age wear. Scuffs, scratches and hardly any gold paint loss(one gold spot on edge has a teeny nick) No chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs noted. Hallmarked on bottom with green stamp. Nice example of early hair receivers being offered at no reserve! Up for sale is a Vintage Porcelain JS Germany Hair Receiver. This is fairly large for a hair receiver. At approx. 4.5 in wide by 2.75 in tall. It is marked Germany under the lid. And JS Germany on the bottom(very hard to see) It is in great condition with no chips or cracks. But does have a small but deep scratch to the bottom inside.
