VIntage All Bumpy Gold Footed Cracker/Buiscut Jar - Circa 1920's- 6" Tall
This I was told was a cracker or buiscut jar and it is circa 1922. I don't know the maker but the bottom marking in the center looks like it says 24 kt. It is what I call a bumpby gold finish all aroun. It is footed and has a finial top. It meaures 6" tall and is 3 3/4" across the opening at the top. The inside of the jar and the lid look like a paste like heavier china. It displays beautifully and there is only minor wear in a few spots of the gold decorating. VINTAGE A G HARLEY JONES WILTON WARE PORCELAIN GINGER JAR circa 1923-1928
This is a delightful vintage Ginger Jar manufactured by A.G. Harley Jones company under their Wilton Ware brand in Fenton. Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, England. Wilton Ware was produced between 1903 and 1934. According to some research, this particular pottery mark dates from the period of 1923 to 1928. This beautifully enamelled vase has what appears to be pattern number 5494? only the painted"5" is still visible, with"494" still barely visibly etched) and is in good condition. The jar is in really good condition with some crazing in the glaze, and the lid has had a mishap(thanks to the wagging tail of a dog! but has been repaired, as is noted in the above photos.The front of the jar features two birds, one on the ground and one flying, with lovely flowers in crimson, blue and yellow, along with green foliage. A Good Circa 1900 Victorian Antique Handpainted Porcelain Cracker Biscuit Jar You are viewing an exquisite late 1800's- early 1900's porcelain biscuit jar with underglaze handpainted flowers on a cream colored diagonally ribbed body. It has a ruffled rim. The jar is in very good condition with the exception of a chip on the underside of the lid and on the rim of the interior of the jar. There exists some crazing as typical of a piece such as this and some minor fading of the gilt trim. There are no backstamps so I do not know the origin. On the bottom of the jar there are only some numbers. Measurements are 5 1/2" tall and 5 1/4" across the top of the ruffled edge rim. Antique Ott & Brewer Co Biscuit Jar Circa 1900 Cobalt Blue Gilt Trim
You are purchasing an Ott& Brewer Co Biscuit Jar circa 1900. This is a great piece in cobalt blue with gilt handles and trim. The trim around the neck of the jar is a scroll and sunburst pattern. With an Asian inspired floral design on the lid and body of the jar. The gilt floral pattern on the body of the jar is faded from age, there is some crazing on the inside of the jar but is otherwise in very good condition with no chips or cracks. The lid of the jar has one very small chip on the inside rim and a superficial hairline crack on the inside of the lid, that does not detract from the appearance. The mark on the bottom of the jar is sunburst pattern with rising sun in the center and Ott& Brewer Co Trenton NJ. Also on the bottom is the marking O.B. China and 105. Antique Biscuit Jar - Side Handles-Roses Pattern-German?-Circa 1910
I know that is antique biscuit jar(as Grandma called it)and is at least from 1910 but it could be earlier. She told me it was German but I only see a fainted green mark on the bottom of what looks like two 9's joined together with some leaf in between. It has a great large rose transferware pattern. Some raised work around the top edge and ornate side handles. No chips, cracks or repairs but the gold around the top edge and on the lid is worn. Still a beautiful piece that is very collectible. It is an off white delicate china background with a slightly footed bottom The open handled lid measures 4 3/4" across. The jar itself stands 4" tall and has a scalloped edge. Rose Medallion covered dressing cosmetic jar circa 1900. This sweet little jar measures 2 1/8" in diameter and 2 1/8" in height including the cover. It is marked CHINA inside a diamond shape in red on the underside. The design is enamel over glaze in two medallions around the circumference of the jar. One medallion includes two people looking at each other. One is seated inside a building and the other seated outside and holding a calligraphy brush. A similar design is repeated on the lid of the jar. The other medallion contains the typical peony design with a butterfly or bird. The design is done in pinks. Blues, shades of green, yellow, orange, black and brown. The details are fine and the facial features delicate and clear.
