Primitive Unglazed Stoneware Canning Jar Crock Bail Wire Wood Handle w Spout
Up for auction here is a nice old and primitive Unglazed Stoneware Canning Jar Crock Bail Wire Wood Handle. It has a porcelain jar inside and this can be seen from the top. Outside top shows a spout that I believe once had a cork stopper. Neither lid or stopper are here. The heavy wire and wooden bail handle are also in nice vintage condition with the black paint showing little wear. It moves freely to carry the jar. The piece is in nice condition. I find no cracks or chips on the outside. Not certain about inside as I can't see in there. Straight from a mid western estate cellar. It will need a good clean up to be used. I weights just over 5 pounds so it is a heavy one. Makes a great display piece.
