Antique 1800's CROWN MARK Mt. Washington Wave Crest White Satin Biscuit Jar
Stunning Mt. Washington glass biscuit barrel/jar in a beautiful"wave crest" design. This piece was produced in the 1880's. It is marked on the bottom with the Crown Milano"CM" logo and the number 735. It is a bit hard to read. But it is there. It is made in a lovely white satin glass with a light pink border around the top. Beautiful handpainted flowers all the way around. Stands 4" tall(not including the handle) Fantastic condition. Just a little normal wear to the paint in a couple of spots. The silverplate needs to be polished or left as is if you like the aged look. Please review all 7 pictures. Check out my! Antique Tobacco Jar Taylor & Tunnicliffe c.late 1800's Dickens characters, cool!
Up for auction is a china tobacco jar manufactured by Tayor& Tunnicliffe circa late 1800's. The jar is 7" high X 4 1/2" in diameter and has the T& T crown marking at base. The color of the jar is a lovely cerulean blue and features characters for Charles Dickens stories- Mr. Turveydrop form Bleak House. Dolly Vardon from Barnaby Rudge, The Marchioness form Dick Swiveller, and Captain Cuttle form Dombey& Son. The top is heavy china with detachable dryer disc and fluted metal know with china insert imprinted with picture of white bulldog. The jar has some damage, most notibly a missing piece from the rim, and lesser scratches and wear-and-tear on surface. It is a very charming piece!

1800's Antique Hand Painted Blue on White Jar with Lid Unusual Trademark
This is a jar with lid. It is definitely hand-painted with blue designs. One of a structure and the other side looks like flowers? This piece stumps me. Look at the trademark. Do you know what this is? Is it really from the year 1818? The number'47' is also written on the base. It's in perfect condition. I purchased it at an estate auction. There had been several similar blue on white porcelain pieces that sold before I got there. This was the only one left that wasn't damaged. It measures about 6.5" high with the lid. It's base is 2.5" in diameter. I put my finger inside the rim and it's a little irregular. That tells me it's not a reproduction tourist item. ANTIQUE PORCELAIN HAND PAINTED LILY OF THE VALLEY 6" BISCUIT JAR 1800's
From the later 1800's. This pretty biscuit jar is 4 1/2" tall, 6" with the lid; x 4 1/2 across the top with a 3 1/3" base. Has hand painted purple violets and lily of the valley with gold leaf accenting around the rim which is somewhat worn off. Real pretty scroll design on it and there are no chips, cracks or crazing, a few minor mold flaws as is typical of porcelain this old. The difference between biscuit and cracker jars is that cracker jars typically have handles, biscuit jars ususally do not. Please look at the pictures. They are part of the description. Antique Mid 1800's Japanese Hexagon Tea Caddy Lidded Box Jar Scenic Village 5.5"
This is a gorgeous lidded jar most likely made Japan. Although the cover looks like Satsuma. I have seen many mid 19th century Chinese pieces with similar designs. It appears to be a mid 1800's piece of porcelain. It has an unusual style similar to both Kutani and Satsuma. It has six sides. The porcelain is on the thin side, although it is neither eggshell nor a fine bone china. It does have some see through qualities when held to the light. This jar features a village scene with trees, birds, mountains, the sky and water. The same design carries right through the entire six sides. The scene is lovely and is done in raised enameling throughout. The lid is flat with a round central handle. The lid is covered in raised oriental enamel designs with the emphasis on gold gilt. It rests inside the top of the jar on a thick unglazed white porcelain ... moreedge. The very top outside rim is also covered in the same raised enamel and gold gilt designs as the cover. The six sides are even all the way around. They gradually get only slightly wider from the base to the top. This piece has a very attractive style and great colors. It was made by a very skilled artisan. I believe it was made for the export market long before 1880 when it then became law to mark the country of origin for porcelain wares. I found this jar at the estate sale of a life long antique dealer. I have taken several pictures for your better understanding. I will be happy to answer any questions you might have. As to the condition; There are no chips. There are four tight spider hairlines on the sides of this jar. These are strictly age related and very possibly caused by the way it was made. There is slight wear to the gold gilt on the lid's handle. But very little anywhere else. Everything is clearly shown in the pictures. In spite of the hairlines, I would say this is a great looking mid 19th century oriental antique. I did not spend a lot of time cleaning it, so I am sure it would look much nicer with a little effort. It has the normal pitting in the

JUST OUT OF AN OLD ESTATE I FOUND THIS NICE UNUSUAL MID TO LATE 1800'S PORCELAIN POT LID FOR BOOTS CASH CHEMISTS. IT IS PERIOD AND AUTHENTIC AND DURING THE 1940'S OR 50'S THEY HAD THIS PROFESSIONALLY MOUNTED INTO A WOOD AND GLASS SHADOW BOX FRAME. THE LID IS COMPLETE AND I LOOKED AT IT AT AN ANGLE AND THE SMALL LIP IS ALL THERE ON IT AND I SEE NO CHIPS ON THAT LIP. SHORT LITTLE AGE LINE ON EDGE THAT LOOKS TO BE MORE OF A SLIGHTLY STAINED CRAZE LINE BUT COULD BE A LINE NONETHELESS. IT IS SHOWN AT BOTTOM PART IN PHOTO 2. NO REPAIRS. IM NOT REMOVING IT FROM THE FRAME. LID ALONE LOOKS TO STAND ABOUT 1 1/4 INCHES HIGH 1 7/8 INCH DIAMETER. FRAME IS IN EXCEPTIONAL ORIGINAL UNTOUCHED CONDITION AND IS 7 1/4 HIGH 7 1/2 WIDE AND TOTAL DEPTH INCLUDING THE BACK WHERE IT BULGES OUT IS 1 7/8 DEEP. Antique Pitcher by M. Z, austria, The Back Mark Dates it to the Late 1800 s.
Beautiful antique pitcher. By M. Z. Austrias, and dates back to the late 1800s. The pitcher is hand painted, the body is shaded greens with what I believe to be a water lily with a bud on either side of the pitcher. There is gold trim on the pitcher and the handle. It probably started life with a gold handle. The condition of this piece is overall excellent, with no flaws or defects. It is now, after all these years, a soft beige, which I honestly think it looks great. It blends On with the colors perfectly( see photo# 7. The top of the pitcher is beautifully scalloped. This is a very graceful and beautifully decorated pitcher. This piece measures 6 3/4 in high, And is 7 in from handle to spout. It measures 20 in around the widest part, and the mouth opening is 5 in. The weight is 2 1/2 lbs.

You are bidding on an antique. Ceramic, Woods Chemist toothpaste container or"pot lid" as they are known. This design was first produced in 1880 and continued until 1914. This item would date anywhere between those two dates. Probably safe to say late 1800's. The advertising transfer on the lid is under the glaze and is very bold. Sharp and clear. 1800's Antique Moser? Glass Enamel Box Jar Dresser Patch Powder Jewelry
I don't believe this is a Moser. But it was the closest thing to a valid description I could find. It has an original label on the bottom, from the old Siegel Cooper department store in Chicago. That store opened in 1887, and closed in 1915. This clear box with hand painted enamel Japanese designs, is 6.50" wide and 2.50" tall. The condition is wonderful, with very minor wear for it's age.

I found this in the east of France so it could be French or German as it is not marked with the country of origin. It was made before 1891 and the McKinley Tariff Act. This lovely antique match holder is in the form of a tree trunk with green leaves on a branch on each side. It is in excellent condition for its great age. It has some light wear on the rim which is normal for antique majolica. It measures about 2.75 inches tall and 2.75 inches wide from nub or acorn to the other nub or acorn. Colorful, and highly collectible, this biscuit Jar is stamped'New Amsterdam 1315' on the bottom of the lid, and if it's not unique, it is extremely rare. Dating back to the early 1800's this beautifully hand painted flower pattern is in amazing condition given its age. The lid is both intricate. Has detailing of Chinese people that appear to be dancing. Also is abundance floral art patterns. The top has a sword sticking thru a vase surrounded by beautiful colorful flowers. I researched the symbol on the bottom and it appears this was 1890's piece if I'm not mistaken. There are no chips or cracks. The top fits nicely on the crock.
