EARLY WOOD AND SILVER BISCUIT/ CRACKER JAR You are bidding on a lovely oak and silver plate trimmed barrel biscuit or cracker jar. It is porcelain lined ... moreinside with silver trim bands. Lid and handle. It is marked EPNS in several different places and hallmarked with a bee symbol. I used silver cream on the silver- wanting to be sure the plate did not have wear. While there is still patina, it does clean up beautifully. I did not detect any dents or scratches of any significance but did note(as seen in pictures) that the seams in the wood barrel are not tightly fitted together. SHIPPING: Buyer pays postage via first standard mail. PAYMENT: Paypal or contact buyer for other arrangements. RETURN POLICY: Returns accepted with full refund. Excluding postage and any other shipping costs, if buyer is not satisfied with purchase. NOTE: NO SHIPPING OUTSIDE U.S. Powered by The free listing tool. ANTIQUE LATE 19th C.ENGLISH LG.PORCELAIN BISCUIT JAR-"GAUDY WELSH" STYLE COLORS

There are four alternating angled panels of"Gaudy Welsh" style orange and blue flowers, with gold trim. The jar is not marked except with the pattern number#160. All the colors are hand-painted over the glaze and are in lovely condition with no areas of worn off paint. The ... moresilver top, rim and handle are not marked except inside the lid, where there is a#6 and beneath that S 7474. The metal is all silverplate and in very good condition. The top of the handle is adorned with a silver ball and the lid is topped with an ornate silver finial. Antique Vintage English Biscuit Jar/Cracker Barrel Hand Painted Artist Signed
A beautiful antique/vintage hand painted artist signed ceramic and metal(the metal looks to me like silver plate) English biscuit jar or perhaps a cracker barrel with gorgeous floral designs and wonderful colors! The piece measures to be about 7" tall( about 9" with handle up) x about 7" wide x about 7" deep. I am not an expert. But I believe the piece dates from the late Victorian era or Edwardian era, but it is possible for the piece to be a bit later. Please note this piece is being sold for decorative and/or collection purposes and is not intended to be used to actually store or serve food from. I could not find any mark identifying the maker of the jar itself and I could not make out the artists signature. However there is a mark on the lid which says"B.H.A. MANUFACTURED IN ENGLAND" I did some on line research ... moreand found there was a notable English silver smith by the name of Barnett Henry Abrahams. Which used the initials BHA, and which apparently made lids for some of Wedgwood's biscuit jars. I do not think this biscuit jar was made by Wedgwood and the mark used by Barnett Henry Abraham had rectangles around the B, the H and the A, instead of periods after each letter, like the mark on our lid. But I think there is still a good possibility that Barnett Henry Abrahams, which operated in the same period I believe this jar was made, might have been the producer of our lid. Though the exact pedigree of this biscuit jar is not clear. What is clear is that it is an exceptionally beautiful piece and it is in very good antique/vintage condition! Like all items of significant age and use, it does have some minor faults including: craquelure and small surface cracks, chipping, rubbing, discoloration including some stray paint marks, paint loss, scratches, discoloration and tarnish. Please look carefully at the photos to see some examples of the condition of the biscuit jar. Please note some things are too small to record in the photos and the series of fine horizontal lines seen in t

Antique 1800s English Pottery Coffee Pot Lidded Biscuit Jar Ceramic British Mark
Antique Coffee Pot with Matching Lidded Biscuit Jar. The base mark dates this to the 1800s. As from 1842 to 1883, the British Patent Office issued registration numbers inside of a diamond so that the public could be assured of quality and a true British design. Unfortunately, the mark is now mostly unreadable, and we cannot ascertain the date of registration. The top mark is definitely the Roman Numeral IV, and therefore that assured the customer that this material is Clay Ware. The Coffee Pot Measures approximately 8-1/2" tall including its lid. English Oak and Brass Biscuit Barrel Jar
I am selling an early 1900's antique English Oak/Brass barrel shaped biscuit keeper. It has a ceramic liner with a metal lid. It is 7 inches tall by 6 inches in diameter. I have posted photos which show the only marking on this item: stamped in the metal rim at the top is a small logo with the letters EPNS. Good condition except for a small crack separation along the bottom edge of the barrel. Minimum bid is $20. Shipping box is 10" by 61/2 by 6 1/2. Weight is 3 pounds, shipped from zip code 99208. Shipped to U.S. addresses only.
