ENGLAND CERAMIC BISCUIT JAR EPNS ORIENTAL JAPANESE PATTERN
This is a darling little biscuit jar. Made in England, marked on the metal rim(see sixth photo) The jar is also marked on the bottom(see fifth photo) but I'm not sure what it says because the ink has sunk into the ceramic. The pattern of the jar is oriental trees and Japanese lanterns. It is very pretty but needs some additional cleaning. It is in good condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. The jar part measures 5" square and 5 1/2" high with the handle extending above that another 3" If you need additional information, please contact me.

Bristol English Ware Biscuit Barrel/ Biscuit Jar Estate Find! This auction is for a Beautiful English Biscuit Barrel or Jar with pink and white flowers and decoration on a light sand/beige ground. I believe this Biscuit Jar is from the early turn of the century 1900s. Possibly a little older. I have seen one other of these on Ebay. It was traced back before 1920. It was marked Bristol English Ware. This one is also marked"Bristol English Ware" but is very difficult to read. The lid is marked"N.S. Nickel Silver. The barrel is marked at the bottom Measurements: 9" tall. Base is 6" in diameter. The condition of this jewel is in Excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Light overall crazing adds to it wonderful Patina. The Silver could use a polish but I will leave that to the new owner. This is part of a lot of antiques purchased from an auctionat the historic Rattle& Snap Plantation in Mt. Pleasant. Tennessee. Please see my other listings. Vintage 1930's Ceramic Biscuit Jar/ Cookie Jar with Rattan Handle Black& Gold in color Marked: Made in Japan Measures approximately 6 inches high(not including handle) 5 1/4 inches in diameter. There is a hairline crack from top about 2 inches(see last 2 photos) There is also some crazing and color fade. Some of the binding on the rattan handle has worn off. This all adds to the vintage character.

Ceramic Vintage Clown Biscuit Jar Cookie Kitchen Canister
This is a great little clown biscuit jar. It is from the forties or fifties. It is in great condition with a small chip on the front of his collar on the bottom. The paint on the nose is kind of smeared but it was made that way. It has crazing all over. Great for its age though.It is hand painted so it has a few small flaws in the paint but it is original. It is 5 1/2 inches tall.

The best way to describe this piece is thinking of it as a puff jar due to the unique design. There are little round gold gilded buttons adorning this piece. Up for auction is a beautifully hand-painted. Rose motif biscuit/cookie jar, with lid. The roses are a pinkish/mauve color. The knob on the lid of the jar is shaped like a rose. The swing handle, of woven wicker, are attached to roses on the sides of the jar, as well. The jar is six-sided, with each side measuring 3 1/2" Total circumference is 21" The jar is 6" tall and 7" wide. A stamp on the bottom of the jar indicates that the jar was made in Japan. It was given to my mother in the 1930's. This lovely jar is in excellent. Vintage condition. There are no chips or cracks. No modifications or repairs have been applied to the crackle finish. Antique W&R Carlton Ware Ceramic Pottery Biscuit Jar Here is a very pretty antique biscuit jar by W&R(Wiltshaw& Robinson) the maker of Carlton Ware Pottery between 1898 and 1958. Marked on the bottom: Rd No 157109 POPPY/ W&R STOKE ON TRENT with the Swallow insignia. Jar itself stands 6" tall and about 5.25" diameter with the exception of where the jar flares out just shy of the bottom by design. That is where a wonderful intricate pattern lays all around its body. The poppy design is in a slate blue/gray color over an off white ceramic glaze. The design extends beyond the intricate pattern but does not lay on top of that section which I find wonderfully intriguing. There is no mark on the top indicating plate or sterling. As shown in the picture there is some pitting along the edge of the top and some discoloration. ... moreAs you can see it is shining rather nicely and would display just fine. Still has its lid and that is neat and clean. Looks as if there was a hallmark along the top rim at some point. But very poorly incised so it can not be read. As from 1842 to 1883, the British Patent Office issued registration numbers inside of a diamond so that the public could be assured of quality and a true British design. Unfortunately, the mark is now mostly unreadable, and we cannot ascertain the date of registration. The top mark is definitely the Roman Numeral IV, and therefore that assured the customer that this material is Clay Ware. The Coffee Pot Measures approximately 8-1/2" tall including its lid. You are purchasing an Ott& Brewer Co Biscuit Jar circa 1900. This is a great piece in cobalt blue with gilt handles and trim. The trim around the neck of the jar is a scroll and sunburst pattern. With an Asian inspired floral design on the lid and body of the jar. The gilt floral pattern on the body of the jar is faded from age, there is some crazing on the inside of the jar but is otherwise in very good condition with no chips or cracks. The lid of the jar has one very small chip on the inside rim and a superficial hairline crack on the inside of the lid, that does not detract from the appearance. The tea pot measures approximately 7-1/2 inches from handle to handle. Is 4-3/4 inches wide and stands approximately 6-1/2 inches high. This dainty piece has a crack on the corner(see picture) the mouth is pretty chewed up and there is a hairline crack on the bottom. The only chips are around the mouth. None of the cracks would affect this jar's use. I don't know specifically how old this piece is; but it is very lovingly used. The price is low only because of the cracks/flaws. W. Wood and Company marked and numbered circa 1910. Ceramic biscuit jar with lid. Decorative transfer roses on sides with handle. Metal rim is corroded and I did not want to polish but should clean up. Sold in"as is" condition. Height 6 inches(base to lid finial) Width 6 inches. Base diameter 4 inches. Weight 1 lb 8 oz. The name" Cichorien" is in Old English serif lettering. It is lidded. With a recess for the lid to fit. The lid has been broken but has been beautifully fixed professionally. please check pictures number# 9, 10& 11) More than likely this started out as a coffee jar since"Cichorien" chicory is a drink(a coffee substitute with a Blue flower) Victorian style muted floral design adorns all around front& sides with lid and jar; with a raised repoussé motif around the top& edges. Around the base rim of the jar is a raised motif. The barrel measuring approx.16” around fat part of base. And approx. 6" across base& approx. 7 1/2” ... moretall to the top of the finial. The lid has the matching floral raised motif pattern with finial. Colors; Blue flowers With Green leaves& Gold trim. Antique Ceramic Biscuit Jar Brown Transferware Country Scene Figures
Offering a ceramic transferware cracker or biscuit jar made circa 1900. Probably in Germany. It measures 6 3/4" high to the top of the finial and is 5 1/4" across. Light tan ceramic porcelain glazed inside and on the bottom. Yellow and green background all around. Decorated with brown transfer of a countryside scene with two ladies and two soldiers by a river across from a grand manor. The transfer wraps half way around the jar and is repeated on the other side. A matte finish. Has a brass collar. Handle and lid. Ferns engraved on the lid. No company stamp. Excellent antique condition with crazing noticeable on the shoulders. No chips. Cracks or repairs. The finial spins and cannot be tightened as the screw holding it on is frozen.
