These 18th century jar lids are fairly rare compared to the number of jars found. This is a very good example in dug condition. Still has most of the glaze. It had a rim off that has been glued back on and some typical chipping on the surface of the base as seen in the photos. It is a small size measuring 3" across. Nice piece if you have a jar.

18th century French Porcelain Apothecary or makeup jar Creme Ambree
This colorful old jar was most likely made in France during the 18th century to resemble Chinese export ware. It has an interesting what looks to be an'H' mark on the bottom along with an old collection label. Unfortunately the piece has been broken and then glued back together. There is one small peice missing and filled as visible in the picture. The jar measures 4 1/4 inches tall including the top by 2 inches wide. Satisfaction is garunteed. So bid with confidence!
