ANTIQUE FOLEY ENGLAND BISCUIT BARREL GOLD BLUE WILLOW TRANSFERWARE COOKIE JAR. This is a very nice Foley Marked English jar in a very dark blue willow and gold trims. It is 9 inches tall with handle up and 6 inches wide. Good shape no chips no cracks slight ware to the gold and normal ware to the silver plate top. Great item very hard to find. Antique Blue and White Porcelain China Lidded Box TRANSFERWARE Old Has Damage
This very old lidded jar or box is in rough shape. With some old repaired breaks, staining inside, a missing handle/knob at the top, and some old chipping. It features a blue and white floral pattern on the body of the piece, with flowers and seashells on the lid. I don't know if the dots on the underside represent a maker's mark of some kind. It measures about 4 1/2" high, and 4 3/4" wide at the widest. This came from an estate sale, and the owner had collected a lot of antiques, so I thought that this one may be of interest to some collectors out there. Antique ENGLISH 8-Sided 7" Biscuit Jar HAND PAINTED Purple ZAMARA Transferware
This beautiful antique biscuit jar or master sugar is marked ZAMARA on the bottom in a beautiful. Flourishing cartouche. I have owned this for many years and have tried to find another piece that has a similar mark, but without success. The jar measures approximately 6.5" wide from handle to handle, and is over 7" high to the top of the lid. It is in excellent antique condition, with only natural aging and no damage. Antique Sarreguemines Transferware Dijon Mustard Pot
For your consideration. A Transfer printed Mustard Pot, made by the French pottery, Sarreguemines, c. late 1800– early 1900. This heavy potted& thickly rimmed piece reads, Dijon Grey-Poupon Moutarde, Paris 1889& shows a French Crest. The black printing is seen on opposite sides& around the neck of the clear glazed earthenware body. This mustard was used widely in France during this period, to mask the spoiled flavor of food that was perhaps not kept quite fresh. Of course it is still very popular today. 5″ high X 3″ wide. Antique c.1897 English Transferware Polychrome Biscuit Cracker Jar Aesthetic BIRDS Flowers Front click picture to enlarge Description Wonderful globe shape. Great aesthetic movement transfer design with hand coloring. The scene is of a small bird(like a swallow or similar) returning to the nest with blue eggs. The nest sits amidst branches with green leaves and pink flowers. The nest scene appears twice(on front and back) The bird appears once on the front scene. The circumference is about 17 1/2" Which translates to about 5 1/2" wide. Stands about 5 1/2" tall. Original lid. English registration mark dating to the 1890's on underside. CONDITION: There is one noticeable blemish on the bottom rim. It is shown twice in the photos(two different views) Oddly. With a 25x loupe, it looks like this may be as originally made, as ... morethe pottery appears to have a shiny finish, like the glazing was over the flaw, but not 100% certain. Otherwise, just a few tiny blemishes, one tiny surface loss on one blue egg, a few smudge marks, a little cracking in one spot on top rim. Crazing is minimal. Notwithstanding these flaws, it presents beautifully! Here is a beautiful very old transferware biscuit or cracker jar. Possibly used as a tea cannister. It has the maker A. Bros. on the bottom with VICTORIA pattern name on a ribbon and a crown logo. Probably made in England. A Brothers is for Ashford according to replacements.com This is quite special to have different colors in it. The outlines are brown. There's blue flowers probably violets and yellow florals plus pink. Wow! plus there's leaves and what looks like wheat. There's even a bug looking like a bumble bee on the back. It may have been used for cookies as the lid has a tea color stained area around the inside. There's also a chip on inside of the base at the top area. This displays gorgeously as the lid hides the chip and when lid is on it hides the staining. Otherwise in wonderful vintage condition. Antique Ceramic Biscuit Jar Brown Transferware Country Scene Figures
Offering a ceramic transferware cracker or biscuit jar made circa 1900. Probably in Germany. It measures 6 3/4" high to the top of the finial and is 5 1/4" across. Light tan ceramic porcelain glazed inside and on the bottom. Yellow and green background all around. Decorated with brown transfer of a countryside scene with two ladies and two soldiers by a river across from a grand manor. The transfer wraps half way around the jar and is repeated on the other side. A matte finish. Has a brass collar. Handle and lid. Ferns engraved on the lid. No company stamp. Excellent antique condition with crazing noticeable on the shoulders. No chips. Cracks or repairs. The finial spins and cannot be tightened as the screw holding it on is frozen.
