Offered is a rare and hard to find hand painted antique lidded lady's cosmetic lip baume pomade cream jar made by the French Limoges company of William Guerin between 1900-1932. Hand painted with pink flowers and green leaves on a blue and yellow background. It measures just over 1.5 inches tall and about 1.5 inches wide. It is in excellent condition with the only thing I can see is a small flea bite on the inside of the lid rim which does not show on the outside. It is in excellent condition- painting is vibrant and there are no chips. Cracks or repairs. Not sure what kind of flowers are on jar- if anyone knows, I'd appreciate hearing from you. There is no makers marks on the jar, which I believe is an indication of its age. In 1910 a law required makers marks on imports. So jar should date to before 1910. It looks like the lid contains initials of artist. Either"aag" or"aay"

This beautiful mustard pot or jam jar features a hand-painted pink roses with green leaves on blue and white iridescent lusterware. The jar is embellished with bands of gold on the rim. Cover, and finial. The cover has an open slot on the side for a spoon. The jar is 2 1/2 inches wide and 2 inches high without cover, 3 inches high with cover on. It has no identification mark, but is estimated to be late 1800s or early 1900s. The jar is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Antique pair of hand painted floral jars Royal Vienna style beehive shield mark
This pair of jars is each 10 inches high and 5 ¾ inches in diameter at the widest point. The jars are excellent quality and are quite similar to the floral pattern of porcelain made by Meissen. The jars have a small beehive or shield mark on the bottom quite similar to that used by Royal Vienna. As the mark was copied by many companies. We do not know the manufacturer of these. We believe they were made in either Germany or Austria and date to the early 20 th century. They are in excellent condition with no chips. This is an outstandingly beautiful antique hand-painted cracker/biscuit jar. The gold moriage accent against the navy blue edging really sets off the beautifully detailed floral on this jar; the artistry of this item is exquisite. The twisted flute of the body mold adds another layer of intricacy to the item. The item is unmarked. But I do believe this to be either German or Bavarian porcelain prior to 1900. I did notice upon very close inspection that there appears to be a glaze drip issue that looks like it could be a hairline crack. Upon holding it up to the light and under magnification. I cannot confirm if this is a true hairline crack that has not gone through or a glaze drip. I do believe that it is a glaze issue and not a crack, but I cannot confirm with 100% certainty that this is NOT a hairline crack. Antique Vintage English Biscuit Jar/Cracker Barrel Hand Painted Artist Signed
A beautiful antique/vintage hand painted artist signed ceramic and metal(the metal looks to me like silver plate) English biscuit jar or perhaps a cracker barrel with gorgeous floral designs and wonderful colors! The piece measures to be about 7" tall( about 9" with handle up) x about 7" wide x about 7" deep. I am not an expert. But I believe the piece dates from the late Victorian era or Edwardian era, but it is possible for the piece to be a bit later. Please note this piece is being sold for decorative and/or collection purposes and is not intended to be used to actually store or serve food from. I could not find any mark identifying the maker of the jar itself and I could not make out the artists signature. However there is a mark on the lid which says"B.H.A. MANUFACTURED IN ENGLAND" I did some on line research ... moreand found there was a notable English silver smith by the name of Barnett Henry Abrahams. Which used the initials BHA, and which apparently made lids for some of Wedgwood's biscuit jars. I do not think this biscuit jar was made by Wedgwood and the mark used by Barnett Henry Abraham had rectangles around the B, the H and the A, instead of periods after each letter, like the mark on our lid. But I think there is still a good possibility that Barnett Henry Abrahams, which operated in the same period I believe this jar was made, might have been the producer of our lid. Though the exact pedigree of this biscuit jar is not clear. What is clear is that it is an exceptionally beautiful piece and it is in very good antique/vintage condition! Like all items of significant age and use, it does have some minor faults including: craquelure and small surface cracks, chipping, rubbing, discoloration including some stray paint marks, paint loss, scratches, discoloration and tarnish. Antique Hand Painted Limoges Powder Jar & Hair Receiver Will Guerin c1891-1896
Offered for your collecting pleasure is this beautiful set of antique Limoges powder jar and hair receiver made by the William Guerin porcelain company in Limoges. France. The William Guerin white ware mark in green dates this pieces to have been made between 1891 and was hand painted in 1896. The powder jar lid has a nice scalloped edge in gold and has lovely hand painted purple violets and green leaves on both the lid and the body of the jar. I especially love the double scrolled handles on the lid. The two piece hair receiver features hand painted violets and green leaves and gold scroll work on the lid and gold on a light yellow background on the bottom half. The hair receiver measures 4.25 inches wide and 2.25 inches tall. The powder jar measures 3.5 inches wide and stands 3.5 inches tall. Both pieces are in excellent condition with ... moreno chips.
