Antique Small Folding Footstool Stepstool-Needlepoint Top-C.1920-30's
A nice old folding stool which I was told was to be used as a step stool for climbing up into old cars from the 1920-1930 era. I don't know if the needlepoint top would have been used then or if it is something which was added later. The needlepoint is old. Has faded some and does show some wear but there are no holes in it. Two of the corners have been stitched over to cover the wood but two corners have not. The stool is made of wood, the legs fold under and there is a bar which'locks' the legs in place. The piece measures approx. 9 3/4" x 4 3/4" x 4 1/2" tall when opened. This makes a very nice stand for display and really cute for displaying dolls. Great little stool.

The stool is sprung and most likely stuffed with straw I did not take apart to see however its not just fabric covered board. Lovely Rustic Antique Footstool Split Cane Oak or Willow Late 19th early 20th Ce
Here is an antique footstool that comes from our old New England homestead which had been a small family farm. The frame may be pine because it is light weight and the woven cane seat may be split oak or perhaps willow. I do not know for sure. The stool is 12 ½” wide. 10” deep and 10” high measured according to the framing. The frame is in excellent condition with no wiggles. The seat portion does have some loss on the edges as you can see in the photos. You may decide to either keep the stool as it is and use it as an accent piece in a country motif or you might even consider getting the split seat repaired. I suggest repaired rather than replaced because so much of the beauty in this stool is in its antique split cane seat. It is a pretty special stool and served our family for many generations. We no longer have the room to keep all ... moreof our family pieces because we had to move after being in our homestead since the mid 1880’s. Vintage stool bench Wood with mustard yellow velvet? Padded upholstery Tacks
The legs are 15 3/4" tall; the padded area puffs up a little higher. About 18" by 13 1/2" wide and deep. Amazingly. The fabric on top is not stained or torn. It is dusty down in the buttoned areas. There is one area in the velvet(not sure that is velvet, but it looks like it is) that looks like it was rubbed thin or matted down maybe. That one is in the middle of the top. There is another spot, gunk or something, that you can see in picture# 10. I think that will clean off okay. There are scuffs and shallow scratches in the wood, examples shown in the pictures, but no deep chips. The stool stands firmly, no wobble to it. None of the upholstery tacks are loose. The lining on the bottom has torn in one area, shown in the last picture, but it does not hang loose there. Also on the bottom, a stain, bottom center, in the second ... moreto last picture. This remarkable ca. 1905 richly figured quarter sawn oak stand features pleasing. Broad flat surfaces with unusual decorative cuts on the stiles bracing the dramatically tapered legs. This oak stool is in very good condition for it's age. I am thinking turn of the century from it's design. I love it's design. The curved legs and wood foot rest.It swivels and is 31" down and 35" up. You need to do a lifting spinning motion with the seat to get it to rise. It can actually go a little higher. But I didn't want it to spin out totally. The seat is wood underneath, but has been recovered with a piece of leather. original horsehair underneath* Old seat was totally worn. There have been a couple of repairs done, but it is solid. Legs are 21" across-foot to foot. There are trusses built in the cross braces at the bottom, 10th picture shows. I would prefer local pickup, but I will ship it. Not sure what it's weight will be once packed, weighs 12 pounds as is. Antique Primitive Floral Needlepoint Child's Stool 8.75" L X 6.5" W X 6.5" T
This little primitive needlepoint child's stool is in very good antique condition with original finish- has a couple of tiny mends to the needlepoint. One mend looks like a light spot- but this is just a slight variation in color of the yarn used when the mend was made- see photo 3. The stool is 8 3/4" long X 6 1/2" wide X 6 1/2" tall. This piece is hand made and is crudely built using pine wood. I can imagine a father or grandfather making the stool and the mother or grandmother stitching the needlepoint cover. It is a charming accent piece.

I am offering a wood telephone gossip bench that I have owned for many years. It is in great condition with a beautiful tapestry upholstery covered full seat. I believe that the wood has been refinished but don't know for sure. It is exactly as I purchased it. There is one scratch on the side of the wood as shown in picture three. On the underside of one bench was a bank book from the National Bank of Athens which had opened in 1917 and has since become non-existent. Vtg Industrial Steampunk Adjustable Swivel Cast Iron & Wood Stool - Late 1800's?
Vintage Wood& Cast Iron Stool This great old stool came from one of the old tanneries in Milwaukee. It likely dates from the mid to late 1800's from what we know about the age of buildings in the area that it came from. It has the unmatchable patina of a well-aged piece. With loads of character to boot! Each of the leg bottoms have some degree of chipping on the outer corners, and a bit of the screw threads for the seat adjustment has broken loose. At its lowest setting, it measures 27" high. The stool adjusts upward several inches by turning the adjustment wheel underneath the seat. All of the joints are tight. The bolts and screws are a variety so do not know if they are original. One on the bottom of seat is not for sure. The metal is rusty. The wood has darken from use and age and the chair has great lines. Attractive industrial chair! Weight is an estimate.
