You are buying a very nice industrial machine age stool. It is made by the Modecraft company. It has a swivel adjustable top. The metal legs have some nicks and scratches. The previous owner put this fabric on the seat. It does not have any stains. The fabric is a very thick material. There is a little musty odor to the fabric. We have for sale a Vintage Industrial Machine Age Adjustable Drafting Oak Wood Cane Seat Swivel Stool. The seat adjusts from 17 inches up to 22 inches. It has a round cane seat. Stretched just slightly but in great condition(no breaks) The stool is in very nice condition, there are a couple splits in the small round circle under the legs(See Photos) These splits do not hurt the integrity of this stool. I added some additional photos to the end of this auction showing a couple additional flaws such as a wood plug missing on one leg, some small holes around the edge of the seat, and a scape on one of the feet. Most of these flaws are easily fixable but to me also add charm and a vintage look to the stool. Please check all the photos and decide for yourself. Antique Machine Age Industrial Chair Stool Steel Do-More Casters Adjustable UHL
Here we have a great Machine Age industrial chair. This chair is made of steel and I have seen people listing them as UHL Toledo and also as Do-More stools. I have not seen any markings on this chair to indicate either of them as being the brand. The casters are Bassick casters and as you can see from the photos there is some wear and chipping to the wheels. Photo 10 shows the worst of the chipping to one of the wheels. As you can see from the photos this chair has been repainted and maybe recovered but it was obviously done awhile ago. The back rest of the chair is about 31 inches tall and the back rest is about 15 inches wide. The seat is about 17 1/2 inches tall and is 12 1/2 inches by 16 inches. This is an absolutely killer industrial chair/ stool. With adjustable seat back. The two things that really stick out to me as unusual with this are the seat back assembly and the splayed out feet. The height of the seat is approx. 18" With the seat back(as configured currently) at 31" though it can adjust higher or lower to desired height. The feet create a rectangle of approx. 13 1/2" x 14 1/2" The seat is approx. 14 1/2" in diameter. The only minor issue I can discern is that the front piece of the seat is seperated(totally stable as is. Legs are iron with an olive green finish. Legs are adustable and back rest can be easily removed. Height to top of seat varies from 21" to 27 1/4" It is 14" from seat top to top of back rest. Seat is 13 1/2" in diameter and the back rest is 6" x 12" There is some wear on the olive green finish on the legs. Seat and back have some varnish wear spots. Some paint splatters, light scratches& nicks. VERY solid. No loose rivets, does not wiggle at all. There is an ink stamp on the back of the seat back that is partially worn off. This auction is for an antique industrial. Adjustable stool made of wood and cast iron. I think the top was originally a woven cane seat. Someone added a round piece of wood and tacked a leatherette cover over it. It appears to be a fairly old repair. It ranges from about 25 1/2" to about 30 1/2" tall and the base measures about 14" x 14 1/2" It has been repainted. and the legs show some wear, but it still solid and strong.
