I was told it was an artist or drafting table but also told it was a operator or engineers stool. Measuring approx ... more31.5" without raising it up(this includes the high of the metal pad( on the bottom which was obviously not original to the piece but could be removed) Legs measure approx 19.5" across(at bottom) and stool seat is just over 14" in diameter. I wish I could read the original tag on the stool(see pictures. Tag is slightly better than pictured but hard to read) I can read the word mahogany on the tag but there is also a word preceeding it which I cannot. I am having trouble reading anything inside the company insignia. It appears to be a person standing in the center but again, I am unsure. I would LOVE to know where it came from but have come up with no results. The leather cover on the seat(seat is not solid. It is a wooden rim with hollow middle) is tattered around edges. It appears to be a blue type fabric underneath it, looking from the underside I do not believe it is original. The mechanics of the chair appear to be in working order. Chair raises and lowers with a bit of play. The wooden arched foot rest has 3 spots of cracking but it is solid and this appears to only be through the outer layer of wood with the deepest of the cracks less than half way through the wood. It does not seem to affect the integrity at all. One of the wooden plugs on the bottom of the legs(covering an old flat head screw) is gone, the other 3 are in tact. If you have any further questions. Please DONT heistate to ask! I AM NOT AN EXPERT and am only going of a layman's observation! Thank you so much for viewing my auction! Completely manufactured of solid high gauge steel throughout with original Brown enamel finish. All very well engineered and machined. Manufactures decal marking is evident on the backside rail of the desk. Although it is worn it is legible as the early shield/scroll design logo. This is an antique stool with metal legs and rolling wheels. It has a leather seat. On the underneath wood is written the date 12-20-37 and the price of $7.50. The stool is in very good condition with no missing or broken parts. The wheels work and roll. The leather seat is not split but does have scuff marks on the corners. Rare find. A 1930's Angle Steel Stool Company Posture Stool. I believe it is the No. 276. It has the original leather intact and is in excellent condition! All of the other images I have found of this stool are bare wood, because the leather deteriorated. This chair sat in a dry cool basement for the last 80 plus years, mostly unused and it is in great shape. Toledo Uhl Art Steel Industrial Stool [cir. 1930's] RARE
Cir. 1930's antique American industrial adjustable height factory workshop stool. Designed and patented by Clement Uhl for the Toledo Metal furniture co. Toledo, oh. This workhorse was in service for over 80 years at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. Last year. It was rescued and painstakingly restored. The stool features a distinctive steel base containing four stretchers of concave metal straps connected to the legs and joined by a circular strip in the center or"spider" The frame was stripped of the factory enamel. Leaving a beautiful brushed steel finish and sealed to prevent oxidation by a clear commercial grade lacquer. This is an antique medical or dental examination stool. This stool is not marked. But we believe it was made by Ritter company and dates to the 1930's. It's called a"rest and relief" stool because it swivels and tilts in any direction. It has a black vinyl upholstered seat. Which swivels easily, and a weighted metal base, with some nice chrome details. The entire stool measures about 30" tall. But the height is adjustable. It is in very good condition- the base is clean and sturdy. The seat does have a small 1/2" tear in the vinyl(this can be seen in the photos. but it is hardly noticeable. These stools are old enough that rivets were used to construct each stool base. Each stool is very sturdy. The legs are painted an“industrial” green color. I can also see that these stools were at one time painted red. The seat material, a very darkish-red wine color, may or may not be original to the stools. Each seat has a great patina to it. The overall height of these stools is about 27 ½” tall. The seat width is almost 15” I added the“feet” to the bottom of each leg and installed a felt pad. These stools look totally awesome in person… what can I say. There are no markings on the stool. Appears to have been made between the 1930's and early 1950's. The dimentions are 31" high. 12" X 12" seat and 14" X 14" at the base. Paint is not original with chipping in places. Some oxidation where the metal is bare. Some bending to bars along base and it appears that some repairs have been made. This would make a fun little stool for boy's or girls's to watch Dad working in his work shop!

You can not replicate this wonderful silver gilt work, and on this piece its in such good condition with light signs of wear. It measures 16 X 13 X 18 inches. The top is oval in shape with slender splayed legs. No springs just a weaved burlap strapping. There is some old ruffled and pleated material that is somewhat shabby and deteriorated. Antique Early 1930's Carved Mahogany Spindle Legs Bench, Stool, Gorgeous
This gorgeous footstool or bench is in good condition. Especially for its age. There is one small chip at the bottom of one leg. See the 11th picture. The fabric and trim are getting rather tattered and showing their age but should last a few more years. The metal braces underneath makes this item very sturdy. It measures about 9.5" in Height X 12.5" in depth X 21.5" in Length. I truly believe this is from the early 1900's. Notice the metal inserted in the ends of each leg.
