This auction is for a great original vintage stool(maker unknown) Stool is adjustable from 22" tall to 27 1/2" tall at the seat. The seat is 15"x15" Back rest is also adjustable. Stool's base is a fantastic piece of industrial furniture has flared legs. Ball& socket feet, ringed foot rest, and height adjustment mechanism. Stool seat is a walnut colored bent plywood that goes well with the original patina gray paint. chair is all original. Vintage Industrial Toledo UHL Draftsman Stool Machine Age Chair Steampunk
Offered is an Uhl Toledo Stool. The label is on the wood seat so we know the seat is original. There are scratches and stains on the seat. There are scratches on the paint but overall the paint is pretty good. Mechanically it is complete and operates properly. The swivel pads are intact and work well. Overall condition is very good. VINTAGE TOLEDO STEEL FUNITURE This auction is for one used vintage Toledo drafting stool/ chair This unit is in great condition for it's age back rest& seat are some type of resin. The fram is made of all steel. Measurments are: at it's highest setting seat to ground is about 20 1/2 inches and backrest ajusted to it's highest setting about 35 1/2 inches to ground and the lowest seat to ground is about 15 3/4 inches and with the back still ajusted to it's highest setting with seat at it's lowest is 30 1/2 inches to ground. Hardboard top has some paint chipped here, some rust there and scratches on the seat, but it is still very solid and a great, simple piece to look at. Overall this piece measures approximately 31" high. Floor to top of seat is approximately 18” high and the seat itself measures approximately 14” x 14” Stamped. Lyon Metal Products, Inc. Aurora. Illinois” There are no breaks in the welds or the seat… again. Very solid. There was some surface rust on the bottom of the seat. But I wire brushed it revealing NO crazy eaten away metal. Here we have a great Machine Age adjustable and reclining chair made by Heywood Brothers& Wakefield Co. As you can see in photo 12 the chair is signed on the knob as well as stamped in the wood above it. This chair has a great look with cast iron. Steel, wood and the seat is woven. The seat is about 16 1/4 inches in diameter as shown in the photos the back of the chair is about 34 1/2 inches tall and the seat is about 18 inches high but it seems that the chair's height can be raised and lowered. As you can see from the photos there is some damage to the seat of the chair and the back of the chair is a little wobbly. Also there is a crack and the wood that can be viewed in the last photo. Because of it's size and delicate nature this item can only be picked up locally. This chair is an excellent specimen from the early 1900's exhibiting the industrial style furniture that was produced during that time. The back rest swivels as well as the stool. There is very minimal rust and what little rust there is. Is just surface. The metal is in sound shape and is ready for reconditioning or leave as is. This would also be a great project for Steampunk theme furniture. These chairs are very rare and this particular style is even rarer. We believe it is wrapped with suede leather but do to age and wear it is now coarse. There was a hard plastic trim that went around the front and sides between the cushion and base but has since deteriorated as seen in pictures. This old farm stool is truly distressed or shabby or whatever you want to call. It's made of metal- steel. It is very sturdy. And it has several areas where the paint is chipping off and there's rust- but it's a wonderful piece for repurposing or using as is- just needs to be cleaned up. It's being sold as is. 2 areas on the edge of the seat back rest where the metal has been bent slightly. See photographs. The seat is 20 1/2 inches from the floor. The top of the back is about 30 inches from the floor. The round seat with the unusual(almost heart-shaped or tooth shape back) is about 11 inches in diameter. The tags is still on the chair that reads Toledo UHL as shown in pic. Vintage UHL American industrial"posture line" factory industrial chair. Please refer to pictures as they are a big part of the description. Chairs are in very good structual condition. Walnut chair seat and back are in great condition in relation to these chairs age. Metal shows surface rust in places as pictured. But I have decided to leave them in as found condition with the green paint with light rust as some prefer the patina ... morethat comes with age. Original rubber feet with the words"Pussyfoot" and"Toledo Metal Co. are imprinted into the rubber. Shadowline Co. lingerie was their manufacturing bisusness) used these chairs in their company, but have been out of business for years. Chairs have been stored all this time. My father worked there in the 1960's and 70's. These chairs fabricated around 1922-25 by The Toledo Metal Furniture Co. This factory office chair was made according to the recommendations of the American Posture League of New York City. Its use brings the pelvis in right relation to the spine. So that one's weight is distributed over the pelvis and thighs. Nearly all parts of the chair are comprised of steel, cold rolled and die formed. The base is rigidly braced and has long wearing quality. The braces which make the base rigid are held in place by retainers set inside the"u" shaped legs, so that there is no pivoting motion to weaken the construction. The back wire or spring support is made of spring steel and yields pleasantly to the pressure of the body. Four bolts with large size wing nuts hold the seat and"spider" in the base of the ch

VINTAGE INDUSTRIAL AGE ROLLING SWIVEL CHAIR ~ STOOL ~~ Great Steampunk Look ~~ From a local estate Chair height is adjustable I had to remove bottom bolt end with wrench to move up. Chairs back support also adjustable. And distance from seat to back is adjustable. Chair adjustments on bottom. And back. With original rollers Chair base is 18" high in its current position but can be adjusted. Many of the parts are cast aluminum. Seat, legs, seat pan back and removable back plate. I would guess this to be WWII vintage stamped union made on base and has sort of an aircraft look and feel. I took off the seat and back cushions to get better look at construction of chair these can be used as a pattern to make new seat covers. Some surface rust great original look I would leave it. She said the chair is very rare and it has a Toledo spindle that adjusts the chair. I thought it was so awesome. That I had to buy it. it just never gets used, and we are selling it. It is a great tiger oak, it has 5 wooden spindles, it has wooden legs and the chair has the metal/adjustable spindle. This chair measures: 30" tall, 14" wide and 14" deep. This is a great quality chair and would make an excellent addition to have in any home decorating in a machine age/steampunk design, or for someone looking for a good quality child's chair. Unusual old metal stool or foot stool in the style of the 20's version of Simmons bedroom furniture but could be by Doehler and made into the 1930's. With casters it stands 15.25" tall and without them it is about 13" tall. Has the look of the vanity or student desk benches they made but I have not seen another one this low or small. Could be stripped and polished for a more modern look. Seat support is original wood and has the original cotton padding.
