Vintage Industrial Adjustable UHL Toledo Drafting Stool w/ Backrest and Footrest
UHL Stool This vintage UHL stool dates from 1940-1950. The stool adjusts up and down and adjustment works perfectly(height of seat from 16 1/2" to 24" When the seat is set in it's lowest position the top of the backrest is 30" high. The original seat and back have been refinished to a rich dark walnut with a satin lacquer clear coat. The seat measures 16" wide and 14" deep. The backrest measures 13 1/2" wide and 6" high. Both are 3/8" thick. The seat swivels freely. The foot rest ring is 20 1/4" in diameter which is more desirable than the standard 16" The chair was completely dismantled and sandblasted by a professional. Vtg. Industrial Toledo Stool with swivel seat and adjustable in height. Great earlier Toledo label as pictured. This stool measures 22" 26 1/2" adjustable height. Seat measures 16" w x 14" d. and has a 16" dia. foot ring. Original height adjustment spring is missing and has been replaced by newer one. The feet on this stool are worn, all four balls are fully intact along with rings but the bottom has worn out. This stool is military green in color showing use with random paint splatter on its seat. Great stool overall.

This identified by the seatback attachment, among other obvious things. This chair is in great condition overall for it's age. No damage or mechanical issues. Even the wheels are smooth. I have not done much to this chair but gently cleaned steel with 0004 steel wool, and Murphys Oil Soap. So the original green is preserved nicely, and the patina is excellent looking(aged) chair; for the Modernist, Steampunk, Machine Age, or Drafting/Engineering Type. Dimensions: Chair Height ranges from 30.5"33" based on where backrest is set. Seat height is 18.5" Seat is 16" wide x 14" deep. This exquisite Toledo Art Steel stool came to us with the seat upholstered in shag carpet. Our competent staff removed the shag carpet. Sanded, stained, and refinished the seat to restore the authentic beauty of the seat. A small area on the edge of the stool seat was damaged by the staples. The damage was sanded smooth and adds a little character to the finished piece- see picture. The base of the stool was very much intact, aside from paint wear, and we have left it original. You are Bidding on a pair of old Toledo Shop Stools. These stools were found in an old Building. Someone had started a restoration and they were a mess. I took these to a Professional that restores furniture. I paid over 200.00 to have them restored. The stools Were totally disassembled. Each i ndividual piece was sanded and painted Machinery Gray. This is one of the colors Toledo used back in the era of these stools. The base the seat sets On were painted in black just like they were originally. The wooden seats were l eft as found and Clear-coated. I think this is what really sets these apart. They show wear and a few paint spots. It appears that the w ood may have been glued at one time. I am not sure because they both have The imperfection in the s ame spot. One seat has a small chip under the edge of the seat. The have the swivel seats ... moreand are the taller stools. I have other UHL and vintage industrial items listed and more on the way. This is a cool stool with great patina it hasn't been cleaned or restored it looks cool as is or if you want you could paint it. This is 18 tall and 14.25 wide it is very sturdy it will hold anyone. The front legs are molded with a curve in them at first I thought they were bent but they were made that way not sure of their purpose but it does make working on things on the ground easier with a tilt to the seat.

Awesome industrial machine-age drafting stool made by UHL STEEL FURNITURE/ THE TOLEDO METAL FURNITURE CO. Toledo OH. See the yellow maker marking in the picture for all of the maker information. The stool is in good vintage condition. It has a very nice aged look to it that some people like so I haven't really tried to clean it up much. I'll leave that decision to the buyer. The wood face of the back rest is coming up at the edges in a few places, not damaged just needs re-glued. The metal frame has a fair amount of rust as can be seen in the pictures. The nut on the rear side of the back rest is is covered in masking tape. It actually works very well for turning the nut in order to adjust the back-rest height. The adjustment mechanism works very well for both the back rest and the seat height. Overall. The chair is very sturdy. It ... moreswivels smoothly and adjust easily. DIMENSIONS: The seat sits 25" high at its lowest position and 30" at its highest. The back rest sits between 7" to 11" above the seat. The actual seat is about 16.5" wide And 14" front to back. Up for auction is this really nice vintage machine age stool by Toledo Stool/ Ohio Steel. The seat and back of chair are in very good to excellent condition. There is some rust and pitting on the bottom of the legs and round feet.There is still some of the original paper label on the frame underneath and metal label EATON RICH on the opposite side see photos no. 4& 5.It has a spring load lever to adjust seat height. It turns/swivels.There appears to be a weld on the frame see photo no. 8 original? The top of this Toledo stool was split and beat up when it came to us. Our competent staff reglued. Sanded, stained, and finished the seat. The stool seat does still have some deep scratches from wear and a small saw nick on the side from some incident in the past. For your consideration is this old industrial drafting stool. It retains a label from the B. K. Elliott Co. of Pittsburg. PA but as near as I can tell it is absolutely identical in every way to a stool made by Toledo Uhl. It may be that Elliott was a retailer and used their label on the Uhl stool, I'm not sure. Either way, a nice old adjustable stool with all the style features everyone is looking for these days. Seat height is 27" as shown, but again, back and seat are fully adjustable. As you can see, this one has a sizeable chip to the front corner of the seat, otherwise it shows a typical amount of wear and some surface rust but nothing out of the ordinary. Vintage Antique TOLEDO Metal Furniture Co UHL drafting stool /industrial chair
You are bidding on a vintage wood and metal drafting stool. It has a label that reads: Toledo Metal Furniture Co. UHL. Industrial made wood and steel construction. Original sticker on the frame stating UHL steel. Great comfortable stool with adjustable swivel seat and adjustable back. The seat height is 28 inches at the lowest and can go up about 4 to 5 inches. The seat itself is 16 inches x 14 inches. The seat has lots of wear with nicks and even looks like cigarette burns. Such patina is hard to beat! The seat has been removed for shipping. Four bolts hold it in place and are on the seat with the seat. This stool has been made to last and it certainly has! Very heavy. Could be used as a bar stool or artists stool. THANK YOU FOR LOOKING!

Vintage 40's Toledo Uhl Drafting Draftsman Swivel Machine Age Chair Walnut
I am very pleased to offer this all original as found signed Toledo Uhl draftsman chair that has its original finish and original paint. The chair has its classic tilt adjustable back rest with wing nut configuration and has its riser adjustment underneath for height. This one is also a swivel model. It is aprox 39 1/2" tall from floor to back of head rest and can raise aprox 5" easily with riser. The seat measures aprox 29 from seat to floor in down position and can go as high as 33" in the top notch. The chair has some minor wear at feet where you would expect from usage and age and all the pads on feet move freely. There is a small wear mark on the front of the seat from the previous owner getting on and off thru the years and you can see this in the photo. I have taken a lot of pictures showing the aspects of the chair ... moreand the condition and even the underside which has the previous owners name in pencil and a tag from the furniture company that originally sold the chair. So that you know. This chair has been in one family its entire life so it will get a new home from whoever is able to purchase this great Mid Century Modern chair. Two Vtg Toledo Wood Metal UHL STEEL Industrial Drafting Chair Stools Adjustable
Two awesome UHL STEEL drafting stools. Both are missing Bottom seat. They were too far gone so I removed them. Everything is there and they haven't been tampered with. They would look great cleaned up and repainted. The wooden back rests are still good and you can adjust both of these seats. One is on wheels and will scoot. But there is cloth wrapped around two of the wheels that stop it from rolling how it should, easy fix but haven't messed with it. One has a brass badge stamped UHL STEEL POSTURE. Other is stamped with the UHL STEEL logo but it is worn off. Both have some surface ruse here and there but it isn't hard to remove. At the moment these are projects because you will need to make the seats. Besides that you have two great 1930s era drafting stools and they will look great! Up for bid I have a vintage Toledo UHL drafting stool. It is in good useable condition. It has one downfall and that is it looks like someone used it as a sawhorse. The wood has a couple deep cuts into it and the metal meeting the wood also has one. Still very useable and still very cool. Other than that I'd say it is in great shape. I will be near Chicago on 4 Oct. Ask about delivery. Standard Pressed Steel Hallowell metal stool chair industrial toledo uhl era 40 Material is steel and birch plywood. With the original military green steel finish. The makers stamp is present on the seat underside. Its in as found condition. And can be used as is. I did some light cleaning to it. And ran the seat adjuster up and down. Heavy duty factory type item. About the SPS or Standard Pressed Steel Company In 1903 Howard T. Hallowell and Harald F. Gade. A Norwegian engineer, along with their friends and relatives, started the Standard Pressed Steel Company. The company still exists and makes high tech metal items. In 1920 the Standard Pressed Steel Company moved its operations to one site in Jenkintown. A Philadelphia suburb that remained the firm's headquarters in the decades ... moreahead. Workers at the plant needed many work benches, so the company started making not only work benches but also other shop equipment, such as shelves and cabinets, that were sold to other companies. Thus was born the new line of SPS products. Dimensions in inches: 16 wide x 14.8 deep seat. The seat height is 22.8 front and 21.2 rear. And can be adjusted to slope a little. The chair back adjusts in height 3 inches. And is 34.5 tall at its highest setting. The backrest can be unbolted and left off. And will be removed for shipping. The feet are 13.8 wide where they rest on the floor. Weighs 14 pounds. Will fit in a 18 x 18 x 24 box. For lower shipping costs Condition: Its got its original military green steel finish. Which looks good. Its not bent or flawed. But could use a wire wheel cleaning at the feet. The plywood seat has stains in the wood grain. The plywood seat looks good. But could stand a sanding and fresh varnish/ linseed oil/ lacquer finish. The plywood is not perfectly smooth. But could be sanded smooth. I will leave any more restoration to the new owner. So that one's weight is distributed over the pelvis and thighs. Nearly all parts of the chair are comprised of steel, cold rolled and die formed. The base is rigidly braced and has long wearing quality. The braces which make the base rigid are held in place by retainers set inside the"u" shaped legs, so that there is no pivoting motion to weaken the construction. It is in wonderful original condition. The chair swivels and is adjustable for seat height. The seat can be adjusted to 30" at its highest and 27" high for the lowest setting. The backrest can also be adjusted. The width at the base is almost 14" square. Blonde wood and a green metal base gives this stool a great industrial flair. vintage Industrial Art Uhl Toledo Metal Adjustable Drafting STOOL Swivel CHAIR
This is a vintage swivel stool by Toledo Metal Furniture Company. OH. The measurements: 33" tall at the highest( 23 1/2" at the lowest) seat setting, seat- 15 1/2" diameter. Foot rest- 15 1/2" diameter, feet- 15" on square. The weight is 20 pounds. The stool is in great original working condition with a small cut on vinyl seat cover.

You are looking at a vintage. Early 1900's Toledo chair/stool. Please use the table below to find the specifics about this particular chair. The first few characters of the Title is the Reference Number for this chair. I have several of these chairs up for auction. And also have alternate sizes and colors as well. You will find them all listed here. By me, SIMPLESALESMAN. These are the best of what I have to offer. I am willing to sell them to local buyers at a small discount. Due to the fact that it is a hassle and time consuming to properly box them up for safe shipment. Along that note. To ship them properly, there are 4 carriage bolts on the bottom/front of the seat need to be removed so that the back can be taken off. It is necessary for me to do this. So that the chair can fit into the size box that USPS will accept. It doesn't ... moredamage the chair in any way. But there will be"some assembly required" when you receive it. My chairs were formerly used at California State University. Chico. They have been used for YEARS in the classrooms. And are by no means in perfect condition. They all have unique character flaws that come with age. And I have tried my best to find and describe them. I cannot guarantee that I have stated all the issues that the chair might have. But I have done my best. Please take a look at the LARGE pictures I have posted. And decide for yourself it this is something you would like to own. Unfortunately I am NOT offering refunds.
