Vintage Heavy& Sturdy Steel Stool The metal on this great stool ha s a lovely aged patina. It is olive green with some rust. And one leg has a splash of some brighter green. The seat is newer, and it is black with some wear on the edges which reveals a beige undercoat. This is an extremely sturdy stool- the steel is quite heavy with the piece weighing about 17 pounds. The stool is technically adjustable. Although I am not selling it as such because once the top is raised, the leg parts do not align to be able to reattach the bolts and nuts. The bent wood legs are in EX. condition with just a couple of very tight age cracks& 1 of the legs is a little chippy on on the bottom. This is a very solid stool weighing 17 lbs. Adjustable from 32" to 37" T he seat has been replaced& is 1 5/8" solid wood. I don't see any mfg. name on it. The cast iron parts appear to have been repainted the wood may have been refinished. There are square nails holding the cross pieces to the legs as shown in pic#8. The guy I got this from told me that this stool belonged to his Grandfather. Who was a plumber by trade. Vintage Wood& Cast Iron Stool This great old stool came from one of the old tanneries in Milwaukee. It likely dates from the mid to late 1800's from what we know about the age of buildings in the area that it came from. It has the unmatchable patina of a well-aged piece. With loads of character to boot! Each of the leg bottoms have some degree of chipping on the outer corners, and a bit of the screw threads for the seat adjustment has broken loose. At its lowest setting, it measures 27" high. The stool adjusts upward several inches by turning the adjustment wheel underneath the seat. All of the joints are tight. ILL" in green ink. There are bolts for adjusting the back protrusion, back height, and seat height. The seat can be adjusted between 17 1/4 in. 27 1/4 in. in 1 in. increments. The chair has a 13 ¼ in. x 15 3/4 in. foot print. There is an old crack on the right side of the seat that was repaired with glue and a mending plate. It shows no weakening and does not affect the integrity of the stool. There are 4 small ¼” diameter shallow holes and some imperfection in the wood. Up for bidding is this gorgeous steampunk industrial red drafting/ piano stool. This would make a great barstool in either an industrial modern or country kitchen. It has chippy red paint. The seat is wood and through the red chips it reveals a sage green underneath. The legs are cast iron at the top and wood at the bottom. It adjusts from 20" to 25" There is a small cut in the rim of the seat(see photo) which tells part of it's story that someone was using it as a saw horse. The cross bar mount under the seat is missing 2 of its screws(easily replaceable) I tried taking pictures of it from every angle possible. If you need any close-ups of anything or have any questions. In good original, strong and as found condition, showing wear from use and age otherwise in great shape. The top is upholstered in brown leather which is peeling off due to age. The wood part is well constructed, sturdy and with bentwood legs for stabilization, all in very good shape for it's age again showing expected signs of use. It has one small& fixable wood split as shown. This beautiful. Sturdy, stool with its warm patina measures appx. 30" high and swivels up to appx. 34" The swivel mechanisms work properly and function well. It has normal wear and tear and no mechanical defects that I can find. The round wooden foot rest does have some separation at one spot but looks like some glue and a clamp would fix it with very little effort. Stretched just slightly but in great condition(no breaks) The stool is in very nice condition, there are a couple splits in the small round circle under the legs(See Photos) These splits do not hurt the integrity of this stool. I added some additional photos to the end of this auction showing a couple additional flaws such as a wood plug missing on one leg, some small holes around the edge of the seat, and a scape on one of the feet. Most of these flaws are easily fixable but to me also add charm and a vintage look to the stool. Please check all the photos and decide for yourself. VINTAGE ANTIQUE BENT WOOD DRAFTING STOOL ROTATING ADJUSTABLE HEIGHT INDUSTRIAL
This is a nice old drafting stool with the original finish. It spins to raise it or lower it and the back goes from 34" to 40" and the seat goes from 18" to 24" It looks to have the original stain so there is quite a bit of patina and aging. There are quite a few nicks and scratches but a good oiling up would cover a lot of them. The seat appears to be the original leather and about 25% of the wood band holding it down has broken off at some point. There are also so old white paint specs on the back. For your consideration is this wonderful bar or kitchen stool. Has a great industrial look. True vintage to antique. You spin the sit to adjust the height from 27" to 21" in height. Large 1" acme threads. Seat has a tiny bit of wobble but is strong and not in any danger of breaking. look at the photos showing how this is mounted! Excellent vintage look with welded large nuts and bent rod creating the frame-all of which have a very rusty like exterior. Because of this I wonder if this is an old home made stool or did a company actually build it this way? 1 break in the foot rest that needs a weld. Threads are oiled good now but will need periodic re-oiling. Vintage Industrial Wood Metal Adjustable Drafting Stool Antique Operator Stool
This is a stool loaded with charactor! I was told it was an artist or drafting table but also told it was a operator or engineers stool. Measuring approx 31.5" without raising it up(this includes the high of the metal pad( on the bottom which was obviously not original to the piece but could be removed) Legs measure approx 19.5" across(at bottom) and stool seat is just over 14" in diameter. I wish I could read the original tag on the stool(see pictures. Tag is slightly better than pictured but hard to read) I can read the word mahogany on the tag but there is also a word preceeding it which I cannot. I am having trouble reading anything inside the company insignia. It appears to be a person standing in the center but again, I am unsure. I would LOVE to know where it came from but have come up with no results. The leather cover ... moreon the seat(seat is not solid. It is a wooden rim with hollow middle) is tattered around edges. It appears to be a blue type fabric underneath it, looking from the underside I do not believe it is original. The mechanics of the chair appear to be in working order. Chair raises and lowers with a bit of play. The wooden arched foot rest has 3 spots of cracking but it is solid and this appears to only be through the outer layer of wood with the deepest of the cracks less than half way through the wood. It does not seem to affect the integrity at all. One of the wooden plugs on the bottom of the legs(covering an old flat head screw) is gone, the other 3 are in tact. Vintage Industrial Steampunk Metal Wood Drafting Bar Kitchen Stool Swivel Chair
You are bidding on a Vintage Metal Industrial Swivel Chair made by the Royal Metal Corp. It shows wear. Has some rust, a tad wobbly because all four legs do not touch the floor at the same time, but sturdy.may be able to adjust that.not sure. The metal ring that goes on the bottom legs is missing, but the chair/stool is very stable. With the seat down, chair is 34 1/2" tall. It will raise another 5" to 6" Seat is 15" x 15 1/2" The metal back on the seat can be adjusted up and/or down. Please check out all pics& email any questions. If I have overcharged on postage. Vintage Industrial Stool Swivel Cast Iron & Wood Heavy Drafting
Extra heavy and solid stool. It is beautiful! Very clean! I am not an expert but from my eyes to yours. I would have to guess that the horizontal pieces of wood feel very handmade. The definitely are not mass produced. Each on has its own shape. The same yet different. The cast iron has a multitude of different screws. It is very, very solid when it is screwed down all of the way, 25 1/2" but gets wobbly the further up you take it. Goes up to 29 1/2" Pick up is always welcome. I do some Flea Markets in northern Illinois and could meet you. Delivery by me is an option within 3 hours of Oregon, IL. for a reasonable fee. Otherwise shipping will be $75.00.
