Vintage Heavy& Sturdy Steel Stool The metal on this great stool ha s a lovely aged patina. It is olive green with some rust. And one leg has a splash of some brighter green. The seat is newer, and it is black with some wear on the edges which reveals a beige undercoat. This is an extremely sturdy stool- the steel is quite heavy with the piece weighing about 17 pounds. The stool is technically adjustable. Although I am not selling it as such because once the top is raised, the leg parts do not align to be able to reattach the bolts and nuts. OLD FACTORY INDUSTRIAL CAST IRON SWING ARM STOOL TABLE WALL MOUNT MAPLE SEAT 14#
Nice antique/vintage cast iron swing out stool in good condition. The seat looks to be made of hard rock maple with a stamp on the bottom similar to Tell City. Purchased this years ago from a apple orchard and thought it was used for the old table used for employees that sorted apples but not sure of that. The cast iron is in good condition with a number 8692 stamped on it as well as the number 372-73 and a logo that is a S that looks like the Superman S. Really old stool with hand peined hinges. These swing out stools came from an old workbenches. Lab tables or more uses. The seat is 10 1/2 inches wide 1 1/2 inches tall. The arm is 17 inches from end of cast mount to end of cast mount on bottom of seat by screw. The cast mount is 8 inches high. The arm is 15 inches long from end of cast mount to end of arm. The seat is in good condition ... morewith some wear due to age. The seat with arm weighs 14 pounds and is very sturdy. Legs adjust with screws to a variety of heights. At the tallest it measures 25" from floor to seat and shortest it is 17.5" from floor to seat. Back rest height can also be adjusted for height or back rest can be removed with a screw at the bottom of the stool. Many options. Up for auction is a vintage industrial age metal and wood stool. It is adjustable and is very strong as I'm 250 and it holds me very well. There is a piece missing as I shown in the picture but otherwise it is in very good shape. The stool has what looks like a name wrote in pencil on the back rest which I'm pretty sure will come off. I don't clean anything prior to selling as I let the new owner do so if he/she chooses. I will take it apart some or all the way to ship the stool. For your consideration is an updated vintage factory stool. The stool features a distressed painted finish and great original wooden seat. The seat measures 23 3/4" with the back 35" tall as shown. The screws in the back have been replaced to facilitate the back adjustment. Which is approximately 3" The wooden seat is 14 1/2" in diameter and is stamped by the mfg. HALLOWELL" The base measures 14" x 14" square. The piece has been disassembled, painted and distressed and the seat sanded, sealed and given a hand rubbed wax finish. Here is an industrial stool/ chair. For your home, art studio, or work shop. Its got the great look of the 1920s-1950s industrial era. Material is steel and birch plywood. The makers tags are missing. Its a Toledo probably. Its in as found condition. And can be used as is. I did some light cleaning to it. And ran the seat adjuster up and down. The chair adjusts in height 5 inches. With a seat height of 16 to 21 inches. Heavy duty factory type item. After doing some looking to ID this item. I have found all the design features used by the Toledo Uhl Art Steel company. Further reading shows the plywood versions to be older than the plastic ones. About the Toledo Uhl company The Toledo Metal Furniture Company was started as Uhl's Cycle Emporium at 1021-23 Monroe Street in Toledo. Ohio in 1898. Philip and Clement Uhl were the original founders, ... moreand brought in their brothers Joseph Otto, Charles, Henry and Robert Uhl.
