Cast iron stool appears to have its original dark green paint with black and gold highlights(see photos) The design of the cast iron work appears to have some Eastlake pierced open work grill design. In addition to the ornate Victorian drape effect of oak leaves and the scrollwork feet, and the flowing/swirling Art Nouveau oak leaf and vine designs. Appears to have original pine or soft wood cover top. With is covered with the original straw– the straw covered with remnants of original jute material. Very nice all original UHL Toledo Draftsman pivoting chair with wooden casters. This is the first one I have had with quartersawn tiger oak seat and back. The height adjustment(15-1/4" to 18-1/4" is made via the metal plates under the seat. O riginal military green finish base with only normal light surface wear. No damage. Very sturdy. An excellent chair. By removing 4 wing nuts the seat easily separates from the base- I have priced shipping based on my doing this to reduce the package size. If you prefer that I ship it in one piece I can adjust the shipping rate to reflect the actual cost of doing so. Antique Wood and Iron Stool Nice find. This is a old stool that looks like it was made for commercial use. It has a heavy metal base that I think is iron. On the bottom of the stand are holes to bolt it to the floor. There is a wood round seat that has a metal piece that fits into the base. The seat is a nice solid wood with a ringed pattern around the edge and a great original patina. There is an old cut on the edge of the wood on one side- it does not affect the sturdiness of the piece. As you can see in the pictures, the seat comes out of the base. In very nice antique condition, this piece can be used as a stool- it also makes a nice little table, plant stand, lamp stand, etc. Stool measures 26.5" tall to the top of the seat. Up for bid is a red vintage soda fountain swivel stool from a pharmacy in Lewisville. AR. The pharmacy closed some years ago and the stool has been in storage since the closing. The 30" tall stool is approximately 12" across the vinyl seat. The seat sits atop a chrome pedestal that is anchored by a cast iron base. It is pretty sturdy and weighs approximately 15 pounds. If you examine the photos, you will see some rusting and a couple of tears in the vinyl fabric. It should clean up nicely and be a great addition to any man cave or collection. Antique or Vintage Cast Iron and Porcelain Table or Stool Base
This is a great old base for either a table or stool. It is quite old and made of cast iron coated in white porcelain. I'm guessing it probably provided a stool to sit on in some old drug store counter years ago. There are 2 patent dates on the piece where you would attach the stool or table and they are 12-17-31 and 08-21-31. So I'm guessing that this old base is about 83 years old. It has a hole in the bottom where you would bolt it too the floor if you wish and another bolt hole in the side where you can insert a bolt to adjust the height of the seat or table. The bolts are missing but can be easily replaced. The old base is about 7.5 inches in diameter and measures 23 inches from the floor to the attachment piece. The piece with the holes that would be used to attach your stool or table to measure about 5.5 inches each from the ... moretip to the center. The base is in really nice condition with just a little surface rust and a few rubs and scuffs you would expect from 83 years! It is very heavy at 25 pounds and will be in a box measuring about 13x13x28 so be sure to calculate your shipping.

It is floor mounted and has four holes for bolting to the floor. Weighs around 14 pounds. The base measures seven inches square. And it stands approximately 23.5 inches tall. There is some light surface rust as seen in the picutres. And paint wear, as well as paint peel. No cracks. There are two very small chips to the edge of the base-one where it meets the floor, and one on the top edge of the base. I have tried to show these in the last two pictures.
