The carving on this piece is exquisite. The details are absolutely amazing, and the photos do not do it justice. The wood on the back of the bench is unfortunately splitting in a few places, with several vertical splits and one or two horizontal splits towards the top. It is structurally sound, however. The needlepoint upholstered, handmade seat is in good condition, with no holes or tears in the fabric, but it is a little faded from age, and does need to be cleaned and dusted. The bench seat opens for storage, and the key for the lock is present and included. The lock works well.

It is stamped on the bottom where it was upholstered. The piece is in great shape with no breaks or damage that I can see. With any piece of antique furniture. There are some scratches and wear to the finish of the walnut wood. It measures 6 ½” tall and 16” wide. This is a beautiful piece that should not be overlooked! Presenting an antique carved walnut wooden footstool in the Chippendale style with a neat needlepoint upholstery on the top. It reads"Travel East. Travel West, After All- Home is Best" along with a very attractive stagecoach scene. It m easures 12" by 14" and 5 3/4" tall. The needlepoint is in good condition with no rips or tears. There are two frayed threads on the outer edge and a few light stains that I did not try to clean. I have shown the worst side of the stool in most of the photos. The stool does need some work. Two of the feet have a thin sliver or strip(about 1/8" thick) gouged from them. One foot has a small chip on the edge. And there is one old age fissure in the wood just above ... moreone foot. See all of the photos for close-ups of the described damage. The stool still displays quite well even with the damage to the feet. It sounds worse than it looks. Up for auction is a lovely vintage footstool with a floral needlepoint cushion. This is a great piece. An excellent addition to any home. The footstool measures approximately 14 1/4 x 14 1/4 x 9" This is a sturdy little stool. The wood base is solid. There are signs of past use on this stool, including scratches and scrapes on the wood portion, and some slight staining on the top. I didn't try to clean the top portion at all, so the stains may be able to be lightened or removed with a careful cleaning. In addition, one side of the top is a bit loose from the base. This lovely. Antique, needlepoint stool has been in our family for years. BEAUTIFUL 1930s Rose Needlepoint Bench W/Carved Detail
This is an absolutely gorgeous bench with all original upholstery. In fact. The handwritten sticker from the upholsterer is still on the bottom dust cover! This bench is about 40 inches long. 18 inches deep and 23 inches tall. The needlepoint upholstery is stunning and in quite good condition. I see some light fading and perhaps a light spot or two. I haven't tried to clean this at all. The needlepoint is still strong and sturdy. On one end. The satin upholstery has a tear as shown. Lots of decoration on this bench! The decoration seems as though it is applied in some places and carved into the wood in places. Two small areas of wood gone. Perhaps chewed by a pup? All could be repaired fairly easily if needed by making molds of the missing decoration and applying/tinting them. I just never got around to doing this, and some people like ... morethings to be original. I can't make out who the upholsterer is since the paper labels are torn- Studios" is all I can make out besides the fact that the upholstery is"rose" something. Needlepoint Footstool For your consideration I have a beautiful antique needlepoint stool. It measures approximately 12" by 14" by 8-1/2" high. This stool was made pre-1940 in that the screws used in construction underneath are not Phillip's screws but the single slot screws. The tapistry background is dark blue with a beautiful hand stitched floral design. i am not an expert on furniture but I believe the legs are what is referred to as a Queen Ann style. Please look at my pictured to augment my description. I have taken a couple of pictures of the wood's design. There are a couple of minor scratches to the wood finish but overall condition is very good. much prettier in person! What a lovely footstool! It measures 16 1/2 x 12 1/2 x 9 inches. The needlepoint top features a lovely floral scene on a black ground. There is some wear to the needlepoint- some small holes here and there- see photo 9. The stuffing in the top has compacted a bit so the top curves in a bit- it just needs a little extra stuffing to bring it back up again. The base has been glued in places- see the last two photos but overall and there is a chip or two to the wood but overall. This antique footstool has a beautiful look- it's a great old piece!

Absolutely stunning this vintage foot stool has a Needle worked cover with large roses and leaves in excellent vintage condition some minor wear no bare or worn spots. The stool is sprung and most likely stuffed with straw I did not take apart to see however its not just fabric covered board. The stool was recovered perhaps 60-70 years ago as it has the upholsters tag its an old one when businesses had 4 digit phone numbers. The frame is beautifully carved on the legs with large flowers and leaves. I believe the frame is either rosewood or mahogany. The stool measures 16” x 16” and is 16 1/2” high probably another inch if measured to center rise. Frame and legs of course have age related dings and wear but no more than is to be expected from a stool of this vintage Please note the large screws in the legs we may take apart for shipping to prevent any damage to these beautifully carved legs

They became most famous because Warner Brothers Studios used Vander Ley Furniture for the set in Gone with the Wind. This rectangular footstool measures about 17" x 14" and stands about 15' tall. This is an exquisite stool with beautiful tapestry seat and curved legged carved wooden frame. The stool is a nice size. Measuring 15" long and 12" wide and 7 1/2" high. It appears to be Victorian with old wooden nails decorating wood( see picture) and two carved flowers in the center of both sides. The bottom is covered with satin. This charming antique needlepoint stool was recently acquired from an estate sale. The carved wood base is accented with an archway style design in the wood. The black needlepoint boasts a gorgeous bouquest of pink roses. The stool measures 8" tall x 14 1/4" long x 9 3/4" wide. The needlepoint is in excellent condition. I could only find one extremely tiny white dot on the black background. No holes or fading. The stuffing is firm and the stool is very clean. The wood finish has some scratches as seen in the photos. This is such a great piece. The more I look at it. The more I love it. It's totally Victorian, with the sort of wicked expression on the face of the swans-I assume they are swans. There have been repairs to the wood, but everything is very solid and the cover is in great shape. Nice mahogany piece with lots of great carvings. 22" long x 11 1/2" deep x 9 1/2" high.

Antique Victorian Floral Needlepoint Embroidery & Carved Dark Wood Footstool
This listing is for an antique wood and needlepoint footstool. I do now know what kind of wood it is but it has a dark stain. The needlepoint has a very dark burgundy background with dusty rose. Powder blue and white flowers with sage and dark green leaves. There are felt pads on the bottoms of all feet to protect surfaces. The stool is very sturdy. Please view all photos as they are considered to be an important part of the description. Condition: Some small nicks to wood legs and frame. See photos. Some wear to needlepoint top, see photos. Overall a beautiful piece in good condition for its age. Antique Victorian Needlepoint Foot Stool- Carved Queen Anne Legs
Offered here is a Victorian Queen Anne style foot stool with heavy needlepointed upholstery fabric. The wool fabric is maroon in color with multicolored needlepointed roses in the center. A lighter trim edges it all around. All fabric and trim are in great shape with no tears. Fading or fraying. The carved legs are walnut and show some normal wear. They are a bit loose but not bad and there is one spot where a small piece of wood is missing(see pics) Old batting straps hold the springs and the padding is probably horse hair with burlap covering. The bottom has a black fabric cover tacked on with old nails. Small metal sliders are on all four feet. Measurements are 18" square x 13 1/2" tall. Here is a very old wooden carved and turned leg footstool with a beautiful needlepoint floral cover. This stool is very solid with only minor wear. It measures 13 1/2" long. 11" wide, and stands 8" tall. The color of the fabric is really hard to photograph, but is best described a a deep burgandy, almost brown color.
