Antique Carved Chippendale Walnut Footstool Needlepoint Cover Stagecoach Scene Search DESCRIPTION: FRESH ESTATE FIND. Presenting an antique carved walnut wooden footstool in the Chippendale style with a neat needlepoint upholstery on the top. It reads"Travel East. Travel West, After All- Home is Best" along with a very attractive stagecoach scene. It m easures 12" by 14" and 5 3/4" tall. The needlepoint is in good condition with no rips or tears. There are two frayed threads on the outer edge and a few light stains that I did not try to clean. I have shown the worst side of the stool in most of the photos. The stool does need some work. Two of the feet have a thin sliver or strip(about 1/8" thick) gouged from them. One foot has a small chip on the edge. And there is one old age fissure in the wood just above ... moreone foot. See all of the photos for close-ups of the described damage. The stool still displays quite well even with the damage to the feet. It sounds worse than it looks. Pictures were taken with and without a flash to best illustrate the true color and details. Any white or bright spots are light reflections. SHIPPING: I charge the actual shipping cost only. Up for consideration is a fine French 6 leg Ottoman or footstool. It measures 28 inches long by 13 inches wide by 8 inches tall. The piece is hand carved with small flowerettes and curvy legs. This is an antique footstool that is ready for u pholstery. The footstool measures: 18" L x 13 1/2" W x 10" H. Weighs 7 1/4 pounds before packaging. The fabric is supposed to cover all the way to the bottom of the wood framework. The only portion of exposed wood when the piece is recovered are the legs. The antique legs were refinished. Stained with walnut stain and then linseed oiled with two coats. The legs are doweled and pull out of the frame work. Once the piece is re-upholstered. I can see on the bottom that there is older green fabric under the current blue needlepoint covering, so I assume it's older than 1947. Louis XVI Style Vintage Carved Walnut TABOURET Upholstered Bench Footstool Seat Louis XVI Style Tabouret Upholstered Seat Footstool/Bench c.1910 DESCRIPTION A lovely Louis XVI style tabouret made at the beginning of the 20th century circa 1910. Beautiful and well proportioned a handsome oval shape with high cushion seat. Gorgeous walnut wood with excellent carving. Paterae decorated and fluted legs with ribbon carving to the seat rail and a good strong tight stretcher base. Upholstered in a pale rose damask with double piping. The fabric is still in very good condition showing only a light amount of wear, no stains or spots or thinning. The old upholstery is of fine quality and is still in excellent condition, good and firm, and strong. Just enough softness to be comfortable but leaving no impressions when sat upon. No splits or breaks to ... morethe wood. No repairs or restoration, still in wonderful condition! Outstanding, Unusual Walnut Victorian Horseshoe Shaped Footstool (w/Old Repair)
Truly an outstanding and unusual Victorian footstool. In walnut with wonderful needlepoint having shades of pink roses this footstool measures 8-1/2" at its highest point by 12" wide. Notice the great detail of the horseshoe itself with the wooden"nails" included on either side of the needlepoint. This piece does have an old repair on the base(see photo) The repair really does not show as the base is inset 2" from the edge of the footstool. The base is also nicely detailed with carving.

Antique French Hand Carved Walnut Footstool Foot Rest Stool ottoman
I have up for sale a wonderful vintage circa early 1900s or there abouts Nicely Detailed Hand Carved French Footstool Foot Rest. This is a gorgeous piece. With wonderfully detailed hand carving on the legs and apron. The wood is approx 1-1/2" on the apron area. I can not be sure of the exact age but believe this to be an older/ antique piece mainly because of the thickness of the wood which would usually only be seen in earlier examples. The top measures approx 14" wide by approx 11-1/2" deep. The piece stands approx 10" tall. The wood appears to be either mahogany or walnut- I am not sure which. The footstool is very strong and sturdy and the upholstery very nice and clean- probably was reupholstered sometime ago- this surely must not be the original upholstery. BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE WALNUT FOOTSTOOL WITH NEEDLEPOINT COVERING
This is a beautiful little foot stool. That has been in my family since it was made. It is walnut and was originally covered in leather. In 1926 was recovered in a needlepoint covering made by my Aunt Lizzie. The foot stool is 12" Long, 9 inches wide and 5 1/2" tall.
