Vintage Industrial Adjustable UHL Toledo Drafting Stool w/ Backrest and Footrest
UHL Stool This vintage UHL stool dates from 1940-1950. The stool adjusts up and down and adjustment works perfectly(height of seat from 16 1/2" to 24" When the seat is set in it's lowest position the top of the backrest is 30" high. The original seat and back have been refinished to a rich dark walnut with a satin lacquer clear coat. The seat measures 16" wide and 14" deep. The backrest measures 13 1/2" wide and 6" high. Both are 3/8" thick. The seat swivels freely. The foot rest ring is 20 1/4" in diameter which is more desirable than the standard 16" The chair was completely dismantled and sandblasted by a professional. VINTAGE TOLEDO STEEL FUNITURE This auction is for one used vintage Toledo drafting stool/ chair This unit is in great condition for it's age back rest& seat are some type of resin. The fram is made of all steel. Measurments are: at it's highest setting seat to ground is about 20 1/2 inches and backrest ajusted to it's highest setting about 35 1/2 inches to ground and the lowest seat to ground is about 15 3/4 inches and with the back still ajusted to it's highest setting with seat at it's lowest is 30 1/2 inches to ground. The paint is not perfect and does show some age and use thru the years nothing a can of black or any color of spray paint can't fix! will need to remove the back rest for shipping! will refund any over paid shipping! Vtg. Industrial Toledo Stool with swivel seat and adjustable in height. Great earlier Toledo label as pictured. This stool measures 22" 26 1/2" adjustable height. Seat measures 16" w x 14" d. and has a 16" dia. foot ring. Original height adjustment spring is missing and has been replaced by newer one. The feet on this stool are worn, all four balls are fully intact along with rings but the bottom has worn out. This stool is military green in color showing use with random paint splatter on its seat. Great stool overall.

This exquisite Toledo Art Steel stool came to us with the seat upholstered in shag carpet. Our competent staff removed the shag carpet. Sanded, stained, and refinished the seat to restore the authentic beauty of the seat. A small area on the edge of the stool seat was damaged by the staples. The damage was sanded smooth and adds a little character to the finished piece- see picture. The base of the stool was very much intact, aside from paint wear, and we have left it original. I have other UHL and vintage industrial items listed and more on the way. This is a cool stool with great patina it hasn't been cleaned or restored it looks cool as is or if you want you could paint it. This is 18 tall and 14.25 wide it is very sturdy it will hold anyone. The front legs are molded with a curve in them at first I thought they were bent but they were made that way not sure of their purpose but it does make working on things on the ground easier with a tilt to the seat.

Awesome industrial machine-age drafting stool made by UHL STEEL FURNITURE/ THE TOLEDO METAL FURNITURE CO. Toledo OH. See the yellow maker marking in the picture for all of the maker information. The stool is in good vintage condition. It has a very nice aged look to it that some people like so I haven't really tried to clean it up much. I'll leave that decision to the buyer. The wood face of the back rest is coming up at the edges in a few places, not damaged just needs re-glued. The metal frame has a fair amount of rust as can be seen in the pictures. The nut on the rear side of the back rest is is covered in masking tape. It actually works very well for turning the nut in order to adjust the back-rest height. The adjustment mechanism works very well for both the back rest and the seat height. Overall. The chair is very sturdy. It ... moreswivels smoothly and adjust easily. DIMENSIONS: The seat sits 25" high at its lowest position and 30" at its highest. The back rest sits between 7" to 11" above the seat. The actual seat is about 16.5" wide And 14" front to back. Up for auction is this really nice vintage machine age stool by Toledo Stool/ Ohio Steel. The seat and back of chair are in very good to excellent condition. There is some rust and pitting on the bottom of the legs and round feet.There is still some of the original paper label on the frame underneath and metal label EATON RICH on the opposite side see photos no. 4& 5.It has a spring load lever to adjust seat height. It turns/swivels.There appears to be a weld on the frame see photo no. 8 original? The stool seat does still have some deep scratches from wear and a small saw nick on the side from some incident in the past. For your consideration is this old industrial drafting stool. It retains a label from the B. K. Elliott Co. of Pittsburg. PA but as near as I can tell it is absolutely identical in every way to a stool made by Toledo Uhl. It may be that Elliott was a retailer and used their label on the Uhl stool, I'm not sure. Either way, a nice old adjustable stool with all the style features everyone is looking for these days. Seat height is 27" as shown, but again, back and seat are fully adjustable. As you can see, this one has a sizeable chip to the front corner of the seat, otherwise it shows a typical amount of wear and some surface rust but nothing out of the ordinary. You are bidding on a vintage wood and metal drafting stool. It has a label that reads: Toledo Metal Furniture Co. UHL. Industrial made wood and steel construction. Original sticker on the frame stating UHL steel. Great comfortable stool with adjustable swivel seat and adjustable back. The seat height is 28 inches at the lowest and can go up about 4 to 5 inches. The seat itself is 16 inches x 14 inches. The seat has lots of wear with nicks and even looks like cigarette burns. Such patina is hard to beat! The seat has been removed for shipping. The wood seat and back has lots of vintage industrial character. Old staple marks(previously upholstered) and a smooth‘Dutchman’ repair on the seat. But with no chunks missing from the edges, as is often the case. The seat swivels smoothly. The chrome riveted base has the iconic spring loaded squeeze lever to adjust seat height. You are looking at a very cool Vintage Toledo Industrial Swivel Drafting Stool Adjustable Tan with a Hard Plastic Seat. This item is in good vintage condition. There are some scratches on the plastic seat. It functions like it should. There is also a spot on the back of the backrest where you can see the number 140. Its faint but still there. Apparently these were used somewhere where they numbered the seats. It has been cleaned some but would probably come off easily with a good cleaner. This is an original 1920's vintage UHL American industrial"posture line" factory industrial chair. Please refer to pictures as they are a big part of the description. Chairs are in very good structual condition. Walnut chair seat and back are in great condition in relation to these chairs age. Metal shows surface rust in places as pictured. But I have decided to leave them in as found condition with the green paint with light rust as some prefer the patina that comes with age. Original rubber feet with the words"Pussyfoot" and"Toledo Metal Co. are imprinted into the rubber. These chairs fabricated ... morearound 1922-25 by The Toledo Metal Furniture Co. This factory office chair was made according to the recommendations of the American Posture League of New York City. Its use brings the pelvis in right relation to the spine. So that one's weight is distributed over the pelvis and thighs. Nearly all parts of the chair are comprised of steel, cold rolled and die formed. The base is rigidly braced and has long wearing quality. The braces which make the base rigid are held in place by retainers set inside the"u" shaped legs, so that there is no pivoting motion to weaken the construction. The back wire or spring support is made of spring steel and yields pleasantly to the pressure of the body. Four bolts with large size wing nuts hold the seat and"spider" in the base of the chair. Adjustment of height is accomplished by removing the wing nuts and bolts, setting at proper heights and replacing the bolts. The seat should always be level, which is assured by seeing that the same number of holes appear above or below the brace on each leg of the large steel channel which furnishes the adjustment. Nice industrial adjustable chair by the Toledo Metal Furniture Company. The back is adjustable up and down along with the height of the chair is also adjustable. As it sits right now it measures 30" from ground to top of the back and the seat is 18" tall. The chair is in overall good condition, there is one small tear on the seat as shown in one of the pictures, otherwise in very good condition.

Vintage antique BKL Elliott Industrial adjustable drafting stool Toledo style
For sale is an awesome vintage antique? industrial drafting stool that was made by the BKL Elliott Company out of Pittsburgh and Cincinatti. To my way of viewing it is almost exactly(if not exactly) like the Toledo UHL type of stools that were made during this period. It measures about 34 inches tall when seat is put up as far as it will go and about 25 inches tall when down as far as it will go(number of notches it can be placed between these two dimensions) The seat is raised and lowered by using a ratchet type of mechanism that is in good working order. When it is squeezed it pulls the pin out and allows the seat to go up and down. When released it locks the position in place. The stool is about 18 inches wide at widest part. It has an awesome hardwood seat and has the original padded vinyl seat cover that can go over it. Seat cover is ... morein fair to good condition but it does have some small rips and discoloration in the vinyl. The seat is in great shape but does show some places where the seams of the wood pieces are coming apart along the edges(see pictures) It is very minor and does not interfere with the overall look or function of piece but include as a matter of accuracy of description. The item is very substantial in weight. Weighing about pounds. The metal still retains some of the original green paint(some pictures make it look like it is black but it is actually a deep green) but does have some loss of paint and minor rust. Again I think it is not a flaw but adds to the original vintage look that would be expected of something of this vintage. This is an awesome all totally original industrial stool that would make a great bar stool or extra seating in any room that you place it in. It will give your home instant vintage industrial charm. Vtg. Industrial Stool Swivel Cast Iron & Wood Drafting Sikes Toledo Machine Age
Up for auction is this industrial age drafting stool made of solid wood and cast iron. It has a comfortable footrest all around the legs. It adjusts to heights of 30 to 35 inches. The seat has been re-glued where a section came apart and is ready for several more decades. Not sure of the maker. But looks more like a Sikes or Toledo. It's very well made and will look great where ever it goes.
