Victorian Fancy Cast Iron Carriage Footstool w Orig Velvet? Top UNIQUE: NR
You probably have never seen anything like this! It is a most unique OLD Victorian era footstool. possible used for mylady as she got into her carriage. The legs appear to be made of iron. The"seat" is the original fabric and probably"horsehair" beneath. One side appears to have 3"finials" missing an d on one long side I believe 1 is missing. These are made of woo d. So a cabinetry person could possibl y make new ones for you. I believe the wood seat base was glued at some point but i f so. It didn't tear through to the fabric. Up for a uction is this nice footstool. It is made of walnut and has four ball feet/legs. It has a nice black floral needlepoint cover on the top. It is stamped on the bottom where it was upholstered. The piece is in great shape with no breaks or damage that I can see. With any piece of antique furniture. This is a Lovely Antique Oval Victorian Floral Needlepoint Footstool Ca.Early 1900's. It is solid carved mahogany with Queen Anne legs. It measures 9 1/2 inches tall by 17 1/4 inches long and is 12 1/2 inches wide. The original black floral needlepoint is in good condition for as old as this piece is. It does have some slight fading and a few small holes in the needle point but not all the way through the backing. There is a dip in the center of the footstool where the webbing has stretched somewhat. The base is solid and in great shape. The legs are a little loose but it is sturdy. Early Antique Equestrian Horseback Footstool, Foot Rest Ottoman Victorian Style
Up for auction is an early Victorian-style equestrian embroidered footstool. This footstool has four metal and wood casters. Detailed carvings and is/was filled with hay. Please note the bottom cover which would keep the hay in place has been previously removed. Most of the hay has fallen out but footstool is supported with inner metal supports. Antique VICTORIAN Style NEEDLEPOINT FOOTSTOOL with METAL LEGS - Early 1900s
Up for auction is a Victorian style footstool with metal legs. I believe it was made around the turn of the 20th century. This would make a great restoration project. As the pictures show. The needlepoint, wood, and metal all have signs of wear. A section of the needlepoint cover is depressed downwards. The metal legs are screwed on. One of the is slightly wobbly because a screw hole is too far away from the leg bracket. That would be an easy fix to make the leg tight. The diameter of the round wooden base is 11 1/2 inches. With the legs included. It measures 14 1/2 inches across. The stool is about 9 inches high. I am not an expert on this item. So please ask questions and I'll be happy to answer them for you. Antique Victorian Needlepoint Footstool circa 1900
This antique Victorian needlepoint footstool. Made by Forbes& Wallace, shows an image of a little girl in a field with her bunny. Forbes& Wallace opened their business in 1873 in Springfield, Ma. I am not certain of the date of this footstool, but it could definitely be traced back to the early 1900's. Stool has gold painted cast iron legs and a round wooden base. The wood base has scratches around the edge, but stool could easily be touched up! Identical footstool without needlepoint is also available for purchase! Dimensions: 10 1/2" round x 6 1/2" tall.

This is a vintage Bench Stool. Ottoman, with WOOD CURVED legs. Vintage style fabric with pretty green design is framed with a matching colored tassel to complete this ottoman and is in very good condition with tiny minor spots hardly noticeable. I think this type of fabric was popular in the 50's and 60's. It is VERY sturdy, heavy and is large enough to use as a bench for extra seating or rest your legs on. The wood on the bottom looks to be the original wood. Possibly walnut, and it shows quite a bit of age. I could be wrong but I think the previous owner put this green fabric over the old upholstery, which was no doubt beat to death.this green fabric was secured underneath with brass or metal head pins and a few nails for good measure.it got the job done, but not expertly at all. When you feel the top by pushing it, it feels very firm as though the previous material, maybe even horse hair, is still under there.that would be nice but you understand I can't be positive. At any rate, the stool can be used right now and maybe later you'll want to see what's underneath ... moreand make it a project yourself to change the fabric. Measurements: This measures 14" long. 11" deep, and 8 1/2" high. It weighs 12 lb, 11.5 oz before boxing for shipping. Condition(on a scale of poor. Fair, good, very good, excellent) Good condition. This piece is in wonderful condition for age. Small split in the wood on the inner side of one the middle feet(mentioned only for accuracy) Warm and rich patina. The original backing is fabulous. This piece is an estate piece which had begun the reupholstering process when the woman passed.therefore it will need new upholstery. Not so good if you want a finished piece, but, perfect if you are looking for an almost done piece to go with your existing décor. From an estate dispersal and at ebay for your consideration is this nice old footstool in a dark brown walnut color. The needle point cover is tacked on. Possibly by brass tacks. It is original so the fabric is getting weak from age and the wood has a patina. The dust skirt inside is loose as shown in the photos. Very ornate little VICTORIAN footstool with lots of flair! All original except for red velveteen fabric that is poorly nailed to top- however. Under it is the wood fiber filling to plump the cushion. Wood platform is very good and has all 12 little wood ACORN shaped spindles on bottom- original owner must not have had any children. It looks like legs and wood base had antique gold paint on them. Measures about 6" tall x 10-1/2" in diameter. All screws appear to be original in legs and each iron leg base has a#3 stamped in the metal. It really needs a little needlepoint or period fabric to complete the stool. I ship in USA only. No international.

The upholstery is not in the best of shape as the pictures will show. I absolutely fell in love with the legs on this piece. I have never seen another piece like it. It is 19 inches long and 13 inches wide. The stool is about 14 inches high overall and the brass legs are each 10 inches high. The stool is very sturdy and well built. The inside cushioning is also very firm and plump. The upholstery needs to be redone in my opinion. Once that is accomplished. You will have a truly remarkable beautiful piece of antique furniture. There is a stamp on backside of stool, looks as though it reads Peoples Furniture? There is some other writing, but I can't make it out? It has Wood trim, some wear bumps and nicks& wood beading that hangs around edge. The needlepoint is trimmed with decorative upholstery tacks with elaborate Queen Anne legs.
