This is an antique Victorian organ stool with cast iron claw feet. The seat measures aprox. 12 1/2" square and is adjustable in height from 19" to 23" It has been recently restored and upholstered. Set of Four Vintage Cast Iron Claw Feet from a Tonk brand Piano Stool. Has"Tonk" Chicago& New York" cast into the seat mount. The threaded center post and nut are included as are all of the original screws for the legs and where the center post mounts to the seat. Also included are the wooden bottoms of the legs which may be of some use to you. The bottoms of the glass feet are worn flat and one is chipped more than the others but they still have a lot of years of service ahead of them! Antique vintage Merriam walnut piano stool bench ball and claw feet, good shape
Up for auction to U.S. customers only is an old piano stool made by Merriam Co. of South Acton. Mass. I believe the wood is mahogany. Overall it is in great condition(see pictures) with very tight joints and only a slight wiggle to the seat; the finish is in great condition with only a few small dings to the seat surface; somewhere along the line a previous owner decided to paint the metal parts of the ball and claw feet brass which looks good but is not original(a little stripper should easily remove the paint if you want a silver finish) It stands 19 inches tall and raises to 24 inches. There are some slight separation in the cross pieces at the bottom that support the legs and still very sturdy. General use wear to the stools wood expected for an antique piece of used furniture. The seat elevates smoothly. 1 claw foot has a tiny bit of damage by the screw that holds the claw foot in place. It does not impact the chairs stability. Was made by the Davis Chair Company in Marysville OHIO and upholstered by the Andrew Molnar Upholstering Company in Port Clinton Ohio with a tan/ gold tone material. Is clearly marked in cast on bottom the chair company and still has original label from the Upholstering company which even still has the 2Cent stamp on it. Very well kept with even the glass ball claw feet. The seat is about 14 1/2" across and is goes from 19 1/2" to at least 24" tall. Just beautiful condition with NO major flaws besides maybe dusting.
