Has the original top and the original factory decal on the inside rim of the seat support! It weighs 10 1/2 lbs. It measures 16 1/4" square at the base and 15" round on the seat and is 31" tall. Industrial Toledo Metal 14" H Rolling Stool 14" D UHL Steel Furniture Painted
All castors roll and ossilate freely. Original label identifies it as made by"Toledo Steel and UHL Metal Furniture Co. This one came from a closed machine shop in New Britain. Cute little guy and mighty handy. It was rusty when I got it and as much as I hate new paint I felt it needed some curb appeal. I used 000 steel wool and thinner to clean it and painted it with Rustoleum Hammered Paint. I did not paint the bottom of the seat to keep the label visible. I have some nice items including more industrial things like lites etc this week. PLease have a look.

Vtg. Industrial Toledo Metal Furniture Co. Uhl Drafting Stool with back rest
Vtg. Industrial Toledo Stool with swivel seat and adjustable in height. Great earlier Toledo label as pictured. This stool measures 22" 26 1/2" adjustable height. Seat measures 16" w x 14" d. and has a 16" dia. foot ring. Original height adjustment spring is missing and has been replaced by newer one. The feet on this stool are worn, all four balls are fully intact along with rings but the bottom has worn out. This stool is military green in color showing use with random paint splatter on its seat. Great stool overall.

This identified by the seatback attachment, among other obvious things. This chair is in great condition overall for it's age. No damage or mechanical issues. Even the wheels are smooth. I have not done much to this chair but gently cleaned steel with 0004 steel wool, and Murphys Oil Soap. So the original green is preserved nicely, and the patina is excellent looking(aged) chair; for the Modernist, Steampunk, Machine Age, or Drafting/Engineering Type. Vintage Toledo Metal Furniture Industrial Drafting Stool UHL Steel mid century
I have other UHL and vintage industrial items listed and more on the way. This is a cool stool with great patina it hasn't been cleaned or restored it looks cool as is or if you want you could paint it. This is 18 tall and 14.25 wide it is very sturdy it will hold anyone. The front legs are molded with a curve in them at first I thought they were bent but they were made that way not sure of their purpose but it does make working on things on the ground easier with a tilt to the seat.

RARE Pre Toledo Metal Furniture Co. Industrial Stool 1902 Uhl Brothers
We are not sure if this stool belongs in your home or a museum. Living in Toledo we have seen our share of Toledo stools. This is the only example we have seen of a pre Toledo Metal Furniture Company stool made by the Uhl Brothers. The classic Uhl style has become an icon of 20th century design. The Uhls opened the"Uhls Cycle Emporium" in 1898 in Toledo. Ohio. At the turn of the century as automobiles became more popular bicycle sales began to taper off. The Uhl brothers turned their attention to making metal furniture. The Toledo Metal Furniture Company was incorporated in 1904. There is a brass plate on the bottom of this stool which reads"Made by The Uhl Bros. Co. Toledo, Ohio U.S.A. Pat July 22, 1902. The stool is still sturdy. This is a vintage 1940s stool. This stool has been sanded. Primed and painted to an original military green. The wood seat is NOT original but solid spruce with a colonial maple stain and 2 coats of polyurethane. When painted I left the original label. Height adjusts from 22 inches to 26.5. This stool is solid and ready for use! Everything works including feet leveling.

Up for auction we have a nice vintage metal stool. This stool is about 24 inches tall and has a square base with an 11 1/2" black round seat. The rest of the stool is painted gray. The stool still has the plastic floor protectors on the end of each leg. This stool is in good condition with very minimal surface scratching. Toward the bottom of the legs they're a couple very small spots of surface rust. Also the black part if the seat has some damage that gives it appeal. You are bidding on a vintage wood and metal drafting stool. It has a label that reads: Toledo Metal Furniture Co. UHL. Industrial made wood and steel construction. Original sticker on the frame stating UHL steel. Great comfortable stool with adjustable swivel seat and adjustable back. The seat height is 28 inches at the lowest and can go up about 4 to 5 inches. The seat itself is 16 inches x 14 inches. The seat has lots of wear with nicks and even looks like cigarette burns. Such patina is hard to beat! The seat has been removed for shipping. Vintage Machine Age Industrial Stool Chair Old Toledo Steel Era Adjustable Metal
Here we have an old vintage Machine Age industrial stool. The seat of the stool is about 14 inches in diameter. The back rest measures about 12 inches across. The seat can adjust to about 33 inches high and as low as about 25 inches. As you can see from the photos this chair has some wear for use in a factory and has been well used. The foot rest has been welded and some of the welds have cracked slightly but it's still sturdy. The condition of the stool gives it a great look and is structurally sound. Chairs are in very good structual condition. Walnut chair seat and back are in great condition in relation to these chairs age. Metal shows surface rust as pictured, but I have decided to leave them in the original condition with the green paint as some prefer the patina that comes with age. Original rubber feet with the words"Pussyfoot" and"Toledo Metal Co. are imprinted into the rubber. These chairs fabricated around 1922-25 ... moreby the toledo metal furniture co. toledo, oh. the factory office chair was made according to the recommendations of the american posture league of new york city. its use brings the pelvis in right relation to the spine, so that one's weight is distributed over the pelvis and thighs. nearly all parts of the chair are comprised of steel, cold rolled and die formed. the base is rigidly braced and has long wearing quality. the braces which make the base rigid are held in place by retainers set inside the"u" shaped legs, so that there is no pivoting motion to weaken the construction. the back wire or spring support is made of spring steel and yields pleasantly to the pressure of the body. four bolts with large size wing nuts hold the seat and"spider" in the base of the chair. adjustment of height is accomplished by removing the wing nuts and bolts, setting at proper heights and replacing the bolts. no tools are necessary to make this adjustment, which is three inches on each chair by half inch steps. the seat should always be level, which is assured by seeing that the same number of holes appear above or below the brace on each leg of the large steel channel

As it sits right now it measures 30" from ground to top of the back and the seat is 18" tall. The chair is in overall good condition, there is one small tear on the seat as shown in one of the pictures, otherwise in very good condition.

I saved this chair from the trash 15 years ago. Because I loved the swivel feature and how comfortable it was- and it still is. As you can see from the photos, it is rusty and the feet are very worn. The seat is about 14.5" in diameter. When at it's lowest point, the chair is about 28" tall, and about 33" at it's max height. The hoop at the bottom is about 18" in diameter. Two Vtg Toledo Wood Metal UHL STEEL Industrial Drafting Chair Stools Adjustable
Two awesome UHL STEEL drafting stools. Both are missing Bottom seat. They were too far gone so I removed them. Everything is there and they haven't been tampered with. They would look great cleaned up and repainted. The wooden back rests are still good and you can adjust both of these seats. One is on wheels and will scoot. But there is cloth wrapped around two of the wheels that stop it from rolling how it should, easy fix but haven't messed with it. One has a brass badge stamped UHL STEEL POSTURE. Other is stamped with the UHL STEEL logo but it is worn off. Both have some surface ruse here and there but it isn't hard to remove. This vintage Uhl Art Steel"Perfection" chair was made by the Toledo Chair Company and dates to the early twentieth century. It measures approximately 31&3/4" tall and the seat is 14&1/4" in diameter. The chair is structurally sound with no breaks in the welds. It has surface rust and wear to the black paint. Which gives it a great industrial patina. One of the back chair legs has a broken-off piece on the metal disk at tip. This does not affect the stability of the chair-it sits flat and does not wobble at all on a flat surface. You are bidding on the exact item shown in the photos. Very nice. Original condition adjustable Uhl Steel stool. Being sold as purchased. Note flaws in photos and description above. We purchased this(an one other listed in another auction) from an older gentleman at a sale who said he and his brothers had attended a rural one room schoolhouse in Richmond Iowa and these chairs were used as the"dunce" chairs when kids were bad. Now. I have no way to confirm this but there is what appears to be either an F12 or R12 stamped in the wood on the edge of the seat and the top piece of plywood on the edge as well. Although the plywood does have a few bad spots/scratches/small missing section etc, it is essentially intact. The majority of the mess you see on the back and the middle of the front is old masking tape and some other kind of dark ... moreresidue on the back. I know the masking tape residue will come off with alcohol but I'm not touching these. I have another one listed in a separate auction but I honestly do not think I can combine these for shipping reduction purposes due to their size. Shipping cost varies by location and will be via Ground UPS which is the most affordable for a package this size. Shipping to New York seems to be the highest at 68.00. UPS does not deliver to PO boxes so please contact me BEFORE bidding for a shipping cost adjustment which will be significantly higher via the USPS if you have a PO box. Non-smoking. Cat free household although there are dogs in the home. I do my best to describe items and provide multiple photos but I am not an expert in any field. Most items are estate finds and are sold as found and uncleaned. If this is your field of expertise it is imperative you ask any relevant questions about items before bidding. Items are shipped using methods that have tracking. Leaving out the more affordable 1st class stamped mail. This is a vintage swivel stool by Toledo Metal Furniture Company. OH. The measurements: 33" tall at the highest( 23 1/2" at the lowest) seat setting, seat- 15 1/2" diameter. Foot rest- 15 1/2" diameter, feet- 15" on square. The weight is 20 pounds. The stool is in great original working condition with a small cut on vinyl seat cover.

Finish is rusty in spots, feet are damaged as shown. Unsure if complete. Unsure if mechanism is working or not. No international sales, no international shipping. Needs cleaning or restoration. Uhl "Perfection" Art Steel Industrial Metal Ice Cream Parlor Chair Toledo OH 151
Antique Clement Uhl designed art steel"Perfection" Ice Cream Parlor and/or office chair#151 made by the Toledo Metal Furniture Company in Toledo Ohio in the very early 1900's. This chair's curved silhouette has timeless industrial appeal and it has the novel Uhl patented truss-locking design which was a marvel of simplicity and strength. One of these is on display in the Brooklyn Museum in New York. It is all original and in very good vintage condition consistent with its age. The wood seat is secure and stable with its original paint. It is remarkably intact and the hardware on the chair does not look to have ever been adjusted or removed. It does have light surface rust. Please see pictures. The chair measures approx 34" tall.
