Vintage Industrial Adjustable UHL Toledo Drafting Stool w/ Backrest and Footrest
UHL Stool This vintage UHL stool dates from 1940-1950. The stool adjusts up and down and adjustment works perfectly(height of seat from 16 1/2" to 24" When the seat is set in it's lowest position the top of the backrest is 30" high. The original seat and back have been refinished to a rich dark walnut with a satin lacquer clear coat. The seat measures 16" wide and 14" deep. The backrest measures 13 1/2" wide and 6" high. Both are 3/8" thick. The seat swivels freely. The foot rest ring is 20 1/4" in diameter which is more desirable than the standard 16" The chair was completely dismantled and sandblasted by a professional. The metal was then finished with a clear satin lacquer and reassembled. The UHL stool is in very good condition. And is a great industrial piece ready to use. Antique Wood Drafting Chair Description An antique wood drafting chair with cane seat. The seat adjusts from 24-1/2" tall to 34-1/2" tall. Overall it stands approximately 49-1/2" tall fully adjusted up with a 14" x 16" seat. There is a repair on the back edge of the seat please picture#5. O verall the stool is sturdy and in good condition with some imperfections due to age and wear- please see pictures. I believe that the footrest was replaced some years back but it was done very well.

This antique Industrial/Steampunk stool is in EX. condition for it's age. The bent wood legs are in EX. condition with just a couple of very tight age cracks& 1 of the legs is a little chippy on on the bottom. This is a very solid stool weighing 17 lbs. Adjustable from 32" to 37" T he seat has been replaced& is 1 5/8" solid wood. I don't see any mfg. name on it. The cast iron parts appear to have been repainted the wood may have been refinished. There are square nails holding the cross pieces to the legs as shown in pic#8. The guy I got this from told me that this stool belonged to his Grandfather. Who was a plumber by trade. It was in his plumbing shop for many years. He also told me that his Grandfather installed the first indoor bathroom with a toilet in Quincy,IL. Vintage Industrial Adjustable Drafting Oak Wood & Cast Iron Swivel Stool
Up for bidding is this gorgeous steampunk industrial red drafting/ piano stool. This would make a great barstool in either an industrial modern or country kitchen. It has chippy red paint. The seat is wood and through the red chips it reveals a sage green underneath. The legs are cast iron at the top and wood at the bottom. It adjusts from 20" to 25" There is a small cut in the rim of the seat(see photo) which tells part of it's story that someone was using it as a saw horse. The cross bar mount under the seat is missing 2 of its screws(easily replaceable) I tried taking pictures of it from every angle possible. If you need any close-ups of anything or have any questions. Stretched just slightly but in great condition(no breaks) The stool is in very nice condition, there are a couple splits in the small round circle under the legs(See Photos) These splits do not hurt the integrity of this stool. I added some additional photos to the end of this auction showing a couple additional flaws such as a wood plug missing on one leg, some small holes around the edge of the seat, and a scape on one of the feet. Most of these flaws are easily fixable but to me also add charm and a vintage look to the stool. Please check all the photos and decide for yourself. Antique solid oak wood and cast iron architect or draftsman adjustable swivel stool. Manufactured by the Milwaukee Chair Co. Dates back to 1910-1920. Flared wood legs and heel ring are intact and very sturdy in construction. The height of the stool is adjusted by rotating the leather upholstered seat. In the stool's present state. VINTAGE ANTIQUE BENT WOOD DRAFTING STOOL ROTATING ADJUSTABLE HEIGHT INDUSTRIAL
This is a nice old drafting stool with the original finish. It spins to raise it or lower it and the back goes from 34" to 40" and the seat goes from 18" to 24" It looks to have the original stain so there is quite a bit of patina and aging. There are quite a few nicks and scratches but a good oiling up would cover a lot of them. The seat appears to be the original leather and about 25% of the wood band holding it down has broken off at some point. There are also so old white paint specs on the back. I have had this for years and love the look; it has the best seat; VERY distressed with the center worn to the extent it is depressed at least a half inch or so.some marks on the oak. A few nicks, what appears to be a light water mark.I LOVE IT that way.when you flip the stool over it looks like the seat was either replaced at some time or reattached. Vintage Industrial Wood Metal Adjustable Drafting Stool Antique Operator Stool
This is a stool loaded with charactor! I was told it was an artist or drafting table but also told it was a operator or engineers stool. Measuring approx 31.5" without raising it up(this includes the high of the metal pad( on the bottom which was obviously not original to the piece but could be removed) Legs measure approx 19.5" across(at bottom) and stool seat is just over 14" in diameter. I wish I could read the original tag on the stool(see pictures. Tag is slightly better than pictured but hard to read) I can read the word mahogany on the tag but there is also a word preceeding it which I cannot. I am having trouble reading anything inside the company insignia. It appears to be a person standing in the center but again, I am unsure. I would LOVE to know where it came from but have come up with no results. The leather cover ... moreon the seat(seat is not solid. It is a wooden rim with hollow middle) is tattered around edges. It appears to be a blue type fabric underneath it, looking from the underside I do not believe it is original. The mechanics of the chair appear to be in working order. Chair raises and lowers with a bit of play. The wooden arched foot rest has 3 spots of cracking but it is solid and this appears to only be through the outer layer of wood with the deepest of the cracks less than half way through the wood. It does not seem to affect the integrity at all. One of the wooden plugs on the bottom of the legs(covering an old flat head screw) is gone, the other 3 are in tact. You are looking at a very cool Vintage Toledo Industrial Swivel Drafting Stool Adjustable Tan with a Hard Plastic Seat. This item is in good vintage condition. There are some scratches on the plastic seat. It functions like it should. There is also a spot on the back of the backrest where you can see the number 140. Its faint but still there. Apparently these were used somewhere where they numbered the seats. It has been cleaned some but would probably come off easily with a good cleaner. Vintage antique BKL Elliott Industrial adjustable drafting stool Toledo style
For sale is an awesome vintage antique? industrial drafting stool that was made by the BKL Elliott Company out of Pittsburgh and Cincinatti. To my way of viewing it is almost exactly(if not exactly) like the Toledo UHL type of stools that were made during this period. It measures about 34 inches tall when seat is put up as far as it will go and about 25 inches tall when down as far as it will go(number of notches it can be placed between these two dimensions) The seat is raised and lowered by using a ratchet type of mechanism that is in good working order. When it is squeezed it pulls the pin out and allows the seat to go up and down. When released it locks the position in place. The stool is about 18 inches wide at widest part. It has an awesome hardwood seat and has the original padded vinyl seat cover that can go over it. Seat cover is ... morein fair to good condition but it does have some small rips and discoloration in the vinyl. The seat is in great shape but does show some places where the seams of the wood pieces are coming apart along the edges(see pictures) It is very minor and does not interfere with the overall look or function of piece but include as a matter of accuracy of description. The item is very substantial in weight. Weighing about pounds. The metal still retains some of the original green paint(some pictures make it look like it is black but it is actually a deep green) but does have some loss of paint and minor rust. Again I think it is not a flaw but adds to the original vintage look that would be expected of something of this vintage. This is an awesome all totally original industrial stool that would make a great bar stool or extra seating in any room that you place it in. It will give your home instant vintage industrial charm. You are looking at a very cool Antique Industrial Drafting Stool that swivels. Has adjustable height, and has a nice foot rest. This item is very used and is sold as is in vintage used almost antique condition. This stool probably had a back piece at some point and that is why there is a spot on the side of the seat that is cut out. This is a very cool stool i used for a long time. Two Vtg Toledo Wood Metal UHL STEEL Industrial Drafting Chair Stools Adjustable
Two awesome UHL STEEL drafting stools. Both are missing Bottom seat. They were too far gone so I removed them. Everything is there and they haven't been tampered with. They would look great cleaned up and repainted. The wooden back rests are still good and you can adjust both of these seats. One is on wheels and will scoot. But there is cloth wrapped around two of the wheels that stop it from rolling how it should, easy fix but haven't messed with it. One has a brass badge stamped UHL STEEL POSTURE. Other is stamped with the UHL STEEL logo but it is worn off. Both have some surface ruse here and there but it isn't hard to remove. They are all from Toledo Metal Furniture Company- UHL Steel Furniture- A couple have the original Manufacturer stickers and the others the stickers have fallen off through the years. The seat is some sort of plastic composite material that flexes a little bit to make an extremely comfortable surface. This one does not have casters but does swivel. Up for auction is a fantastic industrial drafting stool possibly made by Toledo Uhl. I could not find a makers mark. It could have been made by Toledo Uhl or another company of great quality. It is in wonderful original condition. The chair swivels and is adjustable for seat height. The seat can be adjusted to 30" at its highest and 27" high for the lowest setting. The backrest can also be adjusted. The width at the base is almost 14" square. Blonde wood and a green metal base gives this stool a great industrial flair. This vintage piece of Americana is an iconic representation of the country's Industrial Machine Era and the quality products that it manufactured. After almost 70 years of use. Wear and tear; this stool/chair is just as durable, dependable and sturdy as it was when produced. It is fabricated out of angled iron with a 12 X 6 maple wood back rest and 14" hardwood seat. The angled iron base is riveted and welded. The stool's adjustable legs and extensions are also angled iron with closely spaced pre-drilled holes on the extensions that provide added flexibility in height adjustment of up to 10" Overall height is.40" The base is 12" square. Although it has worn, the stool has some of it's original Army Green enamel paint. The wood has the patina of a well used chair but could be cleaned if desired.
