Antique Victorian Empire Quartersawn Oak Foot Stool Small Table with 4 Legs FINE Antique Victorian Empire Quartersawn Oak Foot Stool Small Table with 4 Legs. Measures about 17" square at the top and 15 1/4" high. Fine clean solid complete condition. The oak has some normal age splits and wear- check my photos. This is a heavy very solid stool for its size- it weighs 21 pounds! The lathe turned legs have a classic Empire period style, a bit more balky than Eastlake. We believe it dates from mid 19th century. If you love old oak pieces like we do, you are certain to enjoy this magnificent small table or stool.

No makers marks that I can see. It measures about 19" tall by 15-1/2" wide and 12-1/2" deep. This was restored at one time. But not recently. The top appears to have springs with stuffing inside that gives it a nice firm but comfortable feel. It doesn't go"flat" when pressing on it and it springs back fine. The orange top coloring is bold and uniform and NOT faded like my lousy photos may show. From one family. It's in wonderful condition with ... moreNO fabric tears, rips or holes. Wood legs are strong and secure. NO wood cracks, chips or missing pieces. The top embroidery is strong and secure. All fabric edge and bottom covering tacks/pins are secure. The top fabric has a few small and light pulls here and there that isn't a big deal. The wood shows some small scattered scuffs and dings here and there. There's a very light 1/2" brown spot on the top and a couple light spots on the bottom fabric I'll let you tidy up. One leg may be a wee bit short and need a small shim to stabilize it. This has been kept very well over the years and is ready for use or display. IMPORTANT NOTE: I ship all my items once a week every FRIDAY.
