This classic victorian style piano stool is very pretty. And would make a great restoration project. The bottom frame is composed of cast iron. It is beautifully engraved and features three gorgeous twisted legs that add volumes to the overall style. The seat portion appears to be made of pine. It looks as if it was just the base that a padded cushion or covering was glued to. You can see some of the left over residue from this in the pictures. The cast iron portion is in great shape, with no dents, dings or bends whatsoever. The part that adjust spins up and down quite smoothly. There is light surface rust in a few places that should be very easy to remove. It is around 18" tall, and the legs are 18" apart at there widest points. This is a very nice piece! Bronze Plated Art Nouveau Cast Iron Smoking Bench/Stool
A very romantic bronze plated cast iron bench with arm rests. In a French style. The cabriole legs on each side support the 12"x24" seat(upholstered in an antique woven botanical tapestry cloth) and become the arms on each side. Intricately carved, these arms have openings to hold the original ashtrays, one of which is still present on this piece. The style of scrolls and graphic floral patterns are very art nouveau. There is some aging of this piece. But nothing affecting the quality of the piece- mostly some light wear and fading, easily cleaned. Probably dates to somewhere around the 1920s- 1930s. Nice design, decent weight(about 6 1/2 pounds or so) As shown, there is some typical tarnish/corrosion on the metal as seen in the picture like on the bottom of the feet and I'm not sure if the legs are put on correctly or not-slightly loose/wobbly, common age wear to the fabric underneath also as shown. You'll need to repostion the legs, whoever put them on doesn't have them all at the same place or angle. You're getting it just as I did. The eight tacks around the seat edge appear to be bronze or copper and the corner tacks are molded to conform to the corner edges. The glossy paint is chipped in some areas exposing white enamel as possibly the original color. The vinyl upholstery is secured with old tacks. Vintage Telephone/Elevator Folding Seat in good condition very heavy& solid ready to bolt to your booth or where ever you need. The seat is in the folded up position in the photos. It pushes down to a comfortable sitting position. These are hard to find so dont pass it up. Sold as is as shown in photo's There are no breaks or repairs in the cast. There is a number 3 cast in it but I can find no name. Some surface rust from age. The seat has no cracks but some stains/marks which could easily be sanded off. The screws holding the seat on could use a little tightening. I don't want to miss anything so don't hesitate to ask questions. Measures approx. 26" tall in the folded up position.

I have a old cast iorn and wood drugstore display table. Or a bench or it iis a step stool or we thought it could have also been a salesman sample of a table. We dont know the exact age of it but it looks really pretty old. I wish i had the history on this item because its a really neat one. I dont know how rare it is but i havent seen another like it or even with the same designs. If you collect cast iorn its a good addition to your collection. I have no reserve on any of my items.
